[PokeCommunity.com] The UnderGrand Idea Role Thread
• Visits one person every night.
• Receives a report with that person's alignment.
• Sided with the village.

Welcome to The Underground's Grand Idea Mafia Thread! What is that, you ask? Well, Grand Idea Mafia is a concept from Mafiascum.net, introduced to The PokéCommunity by our very own Superjolt. The idea behind Grand Idea Mafia is that each post in the role thread contains a mafia role, so that Game Masters may use the thread to RNG random roles into a Grand Idea game, where the number rolled corresponds to a post within the role thread, and therefore a role within the thread.

So, in this thread, every post made should include a role bolded at the very top, as well as a description (primarily if it's a role that you created, or is not a common mafia role). You may discuss the roles or pretty much anything else you want here, so long as each post contains a role.

What should these roles be? Anything! Literally. Go wild. It can range from Vanilla Townie to something so disgustingly broken that it has no right being in a mafia game, ever. A GM has the right to exclude such disgusting roles from their RNG setup, however, so maybe don't make all of the roles like that.

If you can't think of anything, just put Vanilla Townie or Mafia at the top. If someone forgets to put something in their post, just consider it a Vanilla Townie or Mafia.

As the thread grows, I will attempt to keep track of the roles added and will link them in a master list here.

Greyscale
Salzorrah

"Three personas, One being..."

Greyscale is a special being. They change alignments, powers, and win conditions, depending on the alignment of who targets Greyscale last.

They can either become Sable, the dark and evil persona, Slate, the benevolent and just persona, and Ivory, the nice and loving persona.

Any actions, such as kills, investigations, protections, gun-shooting, etc. are negated and the alignment of who did those actions will dictate what persona Greyscale is going to exemplify in the next phase.

At the start of the game, Greyscale will be Slate. If Greyscale gets targeted by a Mafia-sided action, they will turn into Sable. If Greyscale gets targeted by an Innocent-sided action, they will turn into Ivory. If Greyscale gets targeted by a third party-sided action, they will turn into Slate.

The only way Greyscale can die is if they get melted (lynched), or if a player with the same alignment as Greyscale's persona kills them (a Mafia kills them while Greyscale is Sable, an Innocent kills them while Greyscale is Ivory, a third party kills them while Greyscale is Slate)

Sable

Known as the dark and evil persona, they are known to be ruthless. As Sable, they can either choose to roleblock, silence, or give a fabricated item (gun or vest) to one person every night phase. They will turn into Sable when a Mafia-sided action hits them last. They can be killed when they are melted, or if a member of the Mafia kills them. If Mafia targets them while they are Sable, actions will go through as normal. Greyscale wins if mafia wins at the end of the game while they are Sable (either dead or alive)

Slate

Known as the benevolent and just persona, they are known to be rational. As Slate, they can curse someone to speak in gibberish every night phase for the next phase. They also have their votes counted as two during the day phase. They will turn into Slate when a third party-sided action hits them last. They can be killed when they are melted, or if a third party kills them. If any third party targets them while they are Slate, actions will go through as normal. Greyscale wins if they survive at the end, or if they get melted before N3 starts.

Ivory

Known as the nice and loving persona, they are known to be caring. As Ivory, they can either choose to protect, investigate, or give a real item (gun or vest) every night phase. They will turn into Ivory when a innocent-sided action hits them last. They can be killed when they are melted, or if an innocent kills them. If any innocent targets them while they are Ivory, actions will go through as normal. Greyscale wins if innocents win at the end of the game while they are Ivory (either dead or alive)

The Sellbot from ToonTown mafia.

Spoiler: Sellbot Description
The most annoying and persistent of all the cogs. Can anonymously telephone someone every night, annoying them and constantly nagging them to buy a product they have chosen and consequently vote for a toon. This will go on to the day phase and the toon will be forced to vote for the designated toon, as well as talk about the product in every one of their posts. Failure to do so may have... unwanted results.

• If the lover dies, the heartbreaker is unaffected.

The Sellbot from ToonTown mafia.

When referencing a role from a specific game, please post the role description or at least link to the op/role pm of that game/role.

Hi, everybody!

[PokeCommunity.com] The UnderGrand Idea Role Thread

Dr. Nick Riviera (The Simpsons) - Third Party
Springfield's most idiotic doctor doesn't know which side he supports! At the start of the game, he'll be sided with a random alignment (town/mafia). He'll then switch alignments every night. When sided with the town, each night he can save one person. When sided with the mafia, each night he can poison one person. Because of his bungling nature, however, each night action has a 50% chance of success. Doesn't join mafia chats. Wins if alive with winning faction.

Electrician.

Third party
Each night can visit a person and shock them.
Shocking someone acts as if they were bleeding
Doesn't affect Cyborgs
Wind if one of the last 2

Smeargle - Town

At the start of the game, can choose to visit a player and copy his/her ability. To change the ability, can visit a different player during the night and perform the same action, which will override the previous ability. Wins with town.

Feathers McGraw (The Wrong Trousers) - Town
This penguin robbed many a bank and museum whilst disguised as a chicken. No longer, Feathers! Each night, he is able to "waddle" over to someone and tell them a randomly generated secret about another player.

Emily Dickinson (IRL) - Town
Yes, that one. The famously reclusive poet crafts a key each night. She can give said key to any chosen player (including herself), who can then lock themselves in their house during any night of the game. That player is roleblocked for that night and can not be visited. Giving a key does not count as a 'visit' for other night action purposes.

Kitty Sanchez (Arrested Development) - Town
The world's worst secretary to the Bluth Company. If ever killed during the night, voting will be completely disabled the following day. Will we say goodbye to these, Michael!?
