The (VERY) First Time You Ever Heard About Pokemon?

Most definitely the show =) My friend and I would wait until 4pm when it would come on every single day!
 
I remember watching it with my older brothers
when i was like...five...thats all i can remember :D

i have been obsessed since I was 2 believe it or not. I started out watching the anime at the age of 2 when it first aired in 1998. Obviously, my favorite Pokemon was Pikachu and I had so many plushies I could not see straight. Every Saturday I would wake up and watch Pokemon with my dad right next to my favorite Pikachu Plushie. I miss those days.
 
The firt time was the first ever episode of pokemon on TV...
Or I received pokemon yellow at the age of 5, not sure.......
 
I was actually pretty late with the whole Pokemon deal. I had watched the anime a few times when I was 6 or 7 and I guess it didn't influence me enough to make me get the games for my Gameboy. Then a friend let me borrow his Crystal in 4th grade, and I've been following the series ever since. o:
 
I was 6 years old, i didnt get a GBC for christmas, so my parents brought me to Wal-Mart after Christmas and i bought a GBC and pokemon Yellow as my first game, i was simply amazed, i discovered the anime shortly afterwards and bought some pokemon videos that i watched over and over, lol and have been hooked ever since
 
I think I read about it in a magazine at a Market Basket. I'm not sure which magazine it was. I think it was GamePro or something of the sort. I thought that in the game, ever since the beginning, you'd be able to let your monster (I had no idea what the game was called really until later on) follow you.

Ever since then, I was hoping that the game would let you take the Pokemon out of their Pokeballs. Yellow teased me... and I think Heart/Soul will tease me as well. Hopefully you can let ANY of the Pokemon follow you. I looked it up, people say all of them can follow you. Hopefully it's not teasing... and it's not just the starter that follows you.

It's my dream to play a Pokemon game in which ANY Pokemon will be by your side.

I definitely plan to buy Heart/Soul when it first comes out. I can't wait.

(Yes, I realized I got derailed.)

Anyway, I was REALLY excited when the anime first came out. I thought Pokemon was AWESOME when it first came out. Monsters you could trap into balls via energy/matter compression? I thought it was awesome.

Then I became fond of Anime, and discovered just what anime was. (I was oblivious to anime sort of.) Then I realized the translations were off, then lost track of the anime, and well... yeah...

The anime has become a 25 minute marketing vomit now. -_-

But yeah...
 
It was when I was given a Gameboy Colour and Pokemon Yellow - I was either three or four at the time. I'd never heard of the series before then, but I was hooked. :3
 
I guess I was about 5/6 years old when I first watched the Anime. I remember drawing a Pikachu in December '99 and at that time I didnt even know that it was called Pikachu.
A bit later, it must have been in spring, one of my friends (he is 2 years older than me) first showed me Red... After a few minutes I was all energetic and I remember coming other friends over who I talked to so excitingly about Pokémon lol.
We played the games on the GBC every weekend.
Too bad I can't remember when exactly I first watched Pokémon but it must have been at the beginning when it came out here in Europe.
