    For more than a hundred centuries the Emperor has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth. He is the Master of Mankind by will of the gods and master of a million worlds by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writing invisibly with power from the dark age of technology. He is the Carrion Lord of the Imperium, for whom a thousand souls die every day, for who blood is drunk and flesh eaten. Human blood and human flesh - The stuff of which the Imperium is made.

    To be a man in such time is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the most cruelest and bloodiest regime possible. This is the tale of those times.

    It is a universe you can live in today - If you dare - For this is a dark and terrible era where you will find little comfort or hope. If you want to take part in the adventure then prepare yourself now: Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of technology and science and common humanity. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for there is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

    But the universe is a big place, and whatever happens, you will not be missed...

    With that lovely mental image out of the way, welcome to the Warhammer 40,000 fan club, where we discuss anything and everything 40K related, whether it be the tabletop wargame, the Black Library novels, or the video games such as Dawn of War and the upcoming Space Marine game. If you want to join us, just type the word Bolter, and say your favorite army, weather it be the mighty Imperial Guard, the brutish Orks, the ravenous Tyranids, or the insidious Chaos Space Marines.     Perhaps consider changing this to a general Wargaming club? To include Fantasy, other Sci-fi, and maybe Historical wargames to?

    How did you get into 40K?: A Friend introduced me
    What part of 40K interests you most?: Being really only a painter these days I don't really have one apart from the crazy bash bash bash nature of the Orks.
