4th Gen The winds of new beginning is upon me.

My Pokemon Soul Silver game just arrive so I need everyone to suggest what Pokemon should I catch and add to my team.

It isn't like that I don't have any knowledge. I've played Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum and even a lot of Pokemon hacks. Not to mention I complete the Pokedex on my Platinum.

So what I want is to start a new journey with new Pokemon Team and Friends.

So can anyone suggest one?

well the proper place is the strategies and moveset section of the forum there is a sub forum called ingame help you should post the there oh and pick totodile,vulpix,and mareep though I prefer magnemite

Well... You could try to get yourself a Haunter (Ecruteak city has Ghastly) and trade it for another Haunter with the GTC (to get Gengar). This is the first time that I've trained a ghost pokemon and Gengar has such great moves and has been so effective (he's the main pokemon I used to defeat the Elite Four!) that I'm thinking about adding ANOTHER one to my team. I've never wanted to do that before. xD So that's the pokemon I #1 recommend for you to use.

Other than him, just play the game and pick as you go. That's pretty much what I did.

Whoa tnx for the suggestions guys. But I can't use WIFI now so there is no way I could get a Gengar.

As mentioned, you'd want the In-game Team Help section: https://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=199 You already have suggestions so going to close this - if you want you can make another thread there (and include say what you've already decided on and moves, etc). Basically go with what interests you though as generally anything will do decently if levelled up enough. (Or if you want people to choose Pokemon for you at random, whether or not it'll be a challenge you can try one of the Challenge threads around this section).
