    [a id]a[/a id]Plot

Fifty years. Fifty years have passed since the stories of many heroes have taken place. Red and Gold have aged, leaving battling behind in favor of professors for Kanto and Johto, respectively. The professors of old have passed away, being replaced by trainers of legend. Old gym leaders have been replaced by apprentices, continuing on the town's gym traditions.

Fifty years. Fifty years since the stories of the heroic Gold ventured through the Johto Region and vanquished Team Rocket once and for all. For fifty years the Johto Region has been free from villainy from any evil team. Team Rocket disbanded, Team Galactic was defeated in the Sinnoh Region, and both Team Aqua and Team Magma have been eliminated from the Hoenn Region. Peace had fallen upon the Pokemon world, and so it seemed it was staying around.

    Or was it?

Fifty years. Fifty years have passed, and a new evil team, Team Zeta, have emerged to the Johto Region. Their objective: To capture the now-calmed and stationary Lugia and Ho-Oh. With access to the sky and sea, control of the Johto Region is surely theirs. Team Zeta is willing to stop at nothing to reach this goal: Destroying every ounce of opposition in their path is not only an order, but a necessity.

    [a id]b[/a id]Your Role

Professor Gold has been recruiting new trainers to begin their journeys in the Johto Region. You have been selected to start your quest with two objectives. The first: To defeat all eight Jotho Region gyms and eventually defeat the Pokemon League.

However, the professor is well aware of the appearance and the disruption that Team Zeta has been causing. Gold remembers his quest from so long ago: Not even aware of the presence of Team Rocket, just colliding his path with theirs when they first crossed paths in the Slowpoke Well. This time, things are different: The element of surprise and the ability to plan are with his new trainers. Therefore, second objective is to disband Team Zeta and prevent the abduction of Ho-Oh and Lugia for them to control.

You will face many difficult events on your path for both quests. Are you willing to step up to the plate?

    Name: Mort Johnston
    Age: 17
    Gender: Male

    Appearance:
Mort is on the tall side, standing at about an even six feet. His skin is on the slightly pale end of the peach side, if only because he rarely goes outside to enjoy the sun. Concerning his form, Mort has a lean body size with little (if any) muscle. He does a nightly routine of exercise, but in all truth, to him, it's just something he does so he doesn't get fat. Aside from his general body, Mort almost looks like any other caucasian male of his age. His facial features aren't very specific; lips are average, nose is straight, etc. The only moderately interesting thing about his face are his light blue eyes. It's the only special thing about his image, but Mort doesn't mind that too much. The only problem is, sometimes it's a bit hard to see his eyes. Mort has shaggy dirty brown hair that is generally in an odd disarray on top of his head. If he actually took the time to take care of it, Mort figures that his hair would go past his chin by about an inch or two. Instead, however, Mort just sticks to the bed-head look, making his hair look like a jumbled mess.

For clothes, Mort keeps it simple and wears things that he likes. He doesn't really give a care about what other people think of his wardrobe, so long as it's comfortable to him. Generally Mort can be seen in a pair of fading blue jeans and a fairly baggy t-shirt. The shirt is normally of a plain color such as black or white or blue, but sometimes Mort will wear a sweatshirt over it. His sweatshirts all have part of the necks cut out, because he can't stand the feeling of suffocation when any shirt is pressed up against his neck. Most of the time Mort wears a black hoodie with no emblem on it, though he does have other ones. As far as shoes, Mort wears a pair of beat up black Converse that have duct tape around them between the white on the edge of the shoe and it stops a little ways up the laces. He has a pair of glasses, but generally leaves them lying around and is rarely seen wearing them.

    Personality:
In all truth, Mort has an unhealthy obsession with the meaning of his name. His name means death, and for some reason Mort just seems to be fascinated by that very topic. In fact, Mort quite frequently writes poems about death. Poetry is one of the very few things that Mort truly enjoys doing. Another thing he enjoys is drawing with various media, and once again the topic is most generally death. Sometimes he draws living things or writes poems about less morbid ideas, but really Mort considers his works subpar without the inclusion of death. Possibly because of his odd fascination, it might be the reason that Mort grew up as a social reject who preferred to spend time in his room writing poems instead of playing tackle football with his classmates.

Aside from his likes and odd fascinations, Mort has a very cool and uncaring personality. If he doesn't at first come off as someone who is weird and should be avoided, then he will generally come off as a freak who's not very good at interacting with people. It's not that Mort really tries to shove people away, it's just that, to him, it's become so familiar that Mort just can't help but do it. He likes company on certain occasions, he really does. It's just that Mort is very bad at expressing himself to others and wouldn't really know what to do. He also has a rather nonexistent relationship with his parents, which probably helped contribute to that factor.

Though he would never outright admit it, Mort sort of wants someone to care about him. He feels a bit lonely most times, but often shoves these feelings aside and falls into an almost depressed state where he writes his poems or draws. That's part of the reason Mort enjoys the company he has felt when he has been around Pokemon. Mort feels like they seem to understand him, and therefore he feels a special form of love that's reserved for most of the Pokemon he meets. In all reality, it's the only type of love that Mort has ever considered giving something or someone.

    History:
Mort was born in a small town off the map of Johto that exists somewhere at the base of Mt. Silver. It was in that small town where he grew up with both parents in what should have been a perfectly fine and healthy relationship. Mort grew up perfectly normally until he was about five years old, the day he started school. He was soon made fun of because of his odd name, but Mort quickly defended his own honor by saying that he liked his name. Soon he began to distrust the people around him. He hated his parents for naming him something that got him made fun of so often, and hated the other kids because they made fun of him. He always felt like someone was talking behind his back, and no matter what he did Mort just couldn't shake the feeling that brought about his resentment.

By the time he was in his early teenage years, Mort had average grades and was thankful that it was his final year of gym class. For some reason Mort just hit a slump, that odd year that made all the angst of his life even worse. He managed to make it through school until he was sixteen, finally reasoning with his parents that he just couldn't take it anymore and he wanted to get out of the small town. His parents agreed, though they didn't like the idea very much and made Mort get a job at the local PokeMart. Mort sort of enjoyed the job, but he did get reprimanded a couple of times for writing poetry when he was supposed to be restocking the shelves.

Finally, after about a year or so of working at the PokeMart, Mort heard about the opportunity to go on a Pokemon journey offered by Professor Gold of New Bark Town. Mort immediately told his parents, quit his job, and then set off on foot to the town. He took a small pack that had everything he wanted in there, but other than that Mort crossed the mountain ranges alone. He was quite fine with that, too. He was especially fine with that once he realized that he could see the small town just in the distance.

    Name: Henry Williams

    Age: 13

    Gender: He is a guy.

Appearance: Henry has a pretty average body structure for thirteen year old boy. He stands at 5'6 and weighs about 120 pounds. He has smooth, pale skin. He has red shaggy hair that just reaches under his eyes, and tiny little freckles that covers his nose and cheeks. His nose turns up a little bit at the tip, not to much to give him a pig nose though. Henry has large green eyes that has a very light brown bordering his pupil.

Henry usually wears plain color tees and denim jeans or shorts. In the summer you could usually see him sporting a tank top and is swimming shorts and a pair of "mandals." In the winter he normally wears a long sleeve shirt on with "puffy vest" over it, a pair of dark denim jeans, and timberland boots.

Personality: Henry is a pretty down to earth guy. Except he can get pretty moody if he doesn't get his food. Henry loves a good meal. He is definitely not a morning person, try waking him up earlier then 8 am is very difficult. He tends to shove his head in his pillow and scream "NOOOOO".

When competing in anything Henry gets serious. Even though is isn't really a sore loser, he isn't to fond of losing so, he just keeps practicing and practicing until he is perfect. So, yes, he is a perfectionist.

He likes fire type Pokemon but due to his history with him, his parents have begged him to stay away from them. So he has found an interest in bug Pokemon because they can be small but yet some can still pack a punch. His favorite Pokemon would have to be Pinsir because they are stong and a bug type. Double Whammy.

A few things that annoy him are; People tripping him, buying people ice cream, and when people take Pokemon over there limit, not cool.

Henry can have minor explosions sometimes. He likes to be right, so agruing with him is not fun.

History: Henry was born and raised in Johto. He has lived at the outskirts of Kanto were his family has owned a Pokemon Breeding Center for over 50 years. His mom was a Breeder and his dad was a Top Co-ordinator. They were both disappointed when Henry announced that he wanted to be a Pokemon Trainer.

Henry spent his toddlers days petting a few of the Pokemon that lived at the center, but once he turned 7 he was way more interested in playing video games he would play them untill he beat them with a very highscore, luckily he got out of that stage when he was ten. Since then he had enjoyed helping around at the Center with his parents. He would hang out in the forest area of the Center and just watch the Bug pokemon wander around.

Henry was never the best in school, he was quite average and had a C average. But he was late to school constantly because of his issue of waking up. He had the potential to do better in school he just didn't have the effort to do so. He didn't have very many friends because once they were in PE he would get mad and through a ball at their face if they told him he was out and he obvisouly wasn't. But, if they had a grade for lunch he would of got an A+, plus extra credit.

One day when Henry was 11, his father had let him take the family Magmar around town. After Him and Magmar bought some ice cream Henry noticed a boy from school. Henry told Magmar to go over to the boy and use ember on his hand because he was cold. The gullible Magmar obeyed Henry and scorched the boy's hand. Later, the authoroties found out that Henry was the mastermind behind this and ordered him to buy the Boy ice cream.

At the age of 13 Henry wanted to do something with his life, he wanted to become one of the very best trainer's out there. So, he packed his bags and headed for his journey.

Here is my SU, I hope you like it.

    Name: Adrian Niko
    Age: 18
    Gender: Male

Appearence: Adrian is a little on the short side, about 4'11" tall, give or take around half an inch. It doesn't matter, as he's still incredibly short. His skin is incredibly pale, due to his albinism. His figure is that which is actually quite weak. He's pretty thin, and doesn't even look like he could really do much. His head is slightly large for his body-type. His hair is white, and is slicked back, the lowest his hair goes is the back of his neck. His eyes are red, and his nose is pointed outwards. His lips are kind of thin, and his mouth is

He wears sunglasses, due to necessity. The sun is bright, and his lack of pigments make it hurt. He also wears stuff that keeps his body hidden, both so he doesn't feel ashamed, and so he doesn't get himself hurt. Pale skin plus sunlight equals burns, after all. He wears a hat to farther keep the sun off of him, the hat has a pokeball symbol on it. He is also wearing a gray hoodie over a white shirt the former seeming to be a little large, and the latter looking to be smaller. His pants are tan and fairly long, actually dragging on the ground.

His shoes are white with black lines on them, and black laces. He also wears a small earring given to him from his older sister, taking the appearance of a small gem-like thing. His sunglasses look colored on the outside, looking orange to other people. His backpack is black and fairly large to accomidate his travels, holding many hidden compartments inside to hide stuff in.

Personality: Adrian is cold, and doesn't like humanity much, due to his outcast beginnings. Well, actually, that isn't true. At all. Adrian really is someone who likes to just hit back anyone who hits him, he is kind of like a kid, actually, believing that he should get his chance to get them back. He hates being teased for his weird look, and can get mad. He has many likes and dislikes as well.

He likes Delcatty and Persian, thinking of them as classy pokemon himself, and enjoys their company. He also likes ice type pokemon, who appear to have to go through the same he does, with the heat and the light. His favorite food is Hot Dogs with onions and mustard on it. His favorite pokemon has to be Weavile, due to their claws. He loves their claws.

He dislikes people who pick on people, due to his own past experiences. He is jealous of other people who don't get burns as easily, and can actually see without having protection on their eyes. His least favorite food is spaghetti, doesn't matter whether or not there is sauce on it. His least favorite pokemon is Volbeat, due to their tendancies to give him headaches.

History: Adrian was born in Pallet Town, on March 1st, 1991, to the couple of Michael and Angela Niko. His birth was like many others, his mother came out okay, and he didn't have too much problems, other then his albinality, so he was fit to go home in the morning. His sister, Alice Niko, at this time, age 6, was jealous of the attention Adrian was getting, and started to act out to get attention. Acting mean to Adrian to feel superior. When Adrian went outside, his mother always had to dress him like it was winter in order to keep him from getting burnt, causing some kids to laugh at him, and that was the beginning of his hatred of people who laughed at him.

Time passed, and he got into trainer school, like his sister before him. His grades were slightly above average, but he wasn't exceptionally good at his trade, so he sometimes tried to get help from smarter kids, but they didn't want to be bothered. Other kids decided to pick on him, and a few even called him names like 'demon' due to his red eyes. He didn't like that, and if they did pick on him, he punched them back, obviously getting in trouble. Over the years at trainer school, he managed to get some good grades, but he still wasn't slated to be anywhere near the best. He graduated about 50th in a class of about 220, so he was able to go on his quest. He decided to start in the Johto Region, because he heard that it was one of the tougher regions, and that not many from his class would start there with their own pokemon.

Adrian's sister, Alice, gave him one of her earrings before he left on his journey, for good luck. Adrian took it, knowing his sister wanted him to do better then when she tried. Adrian asked his dad what the journey was like, due to him having gone through it, and won a league belt. He said nothing, leaving Adrian to his own devices. Adrian left the next day, his dad getting him to New Bark Town without much trouble.

Name: Lexine Brooke Zirkle. Call her Lexi,

    Age: 15

    Gender
    : Female

Appearance: Short choppy layers fall casually over thin arched eye brows, and the tips of her brown hair barely reach her slight shoulders. A small white bow is attached to a headband, with the bow on placed on the left side of her head. Under her shaggy hair are two large, almond shaped eyes. The irises are light blue, with black specs that look like freckles randomly placed in them. Her nose is a bit pointed, and is slight compared to the rest of her facial features. Under her nose are full, dull pink lips, usually curled up in a smirk. Her skin is pale, but in the summer it's a light tan. Lexi also has unusually long arms for someone of her short height - 5'3 - and long fingers to match. Her torso is the shortest part of her body, with her legs supplementing most of her height. Overall she's quite thin, with only barely thicker thighs from walking.

Lexi usually wears long sleeved shirts with the sleeves rolled to her elbows and a tank top underneath. When it's particularly cold she zips herself up in a navy blue hoodie, with holes cut out for her thumbs, black high tops with rainbow laces, and a long pair of dark jeans. In the heat she just takes her over-shirt off, wears a light pair of jean shorts, and a pair of dark blue flip flops. She also wears head bands with bows, most of the time. For jewelry she has three silver stud earrings in her ears, one on her left and two on her right ear. She also wears a hemp ankle bracelet with small green and white beads intertwined.

Personality: Lexi is an absent minded teenager who often spends her time day dreaming or sleeping. She's not easily provoked and keeps a leveled head, unless it's something she's very passionate about, but there aren't very many things that interest her. While she tends to break rules, a lot, her conscience usually stops her from making big mistakes. Beauty and art attract her, but she can't help but to search for deeper meanings within. While she's pondering these things it's very hard to get her attention. She hates being rushed or pressured into things, and enjoys taking her time. Although she's usually quite agreeable and friendly, Lexi prefers to be alone, or with a quiet Pokémon.

Well, she seems agreeable, anyway. No one knows her well enough to say otherwise, but she's a bit narcissistic and vain. It's almost a tragedy for her to see a single hair out of place on her perfect little head. Her mom tries to keep her down to earth, and usually Lexi tries to be less of a perfectionist. To help her be less selfish, she often spends time talking to Pokémon and tending to their feelings. This has helped, but she still maintains a bit of vanity. Even though being good company comes easily to her, she still prefers to stay away from other humans, because she fears she'll embarrass herself.

That being said, she prefers grass Pokémon for their quiet, understanding natures. Bulbasaur is her favorite, because it's adorable and patient. Her favorite thing to do is to take walks, sometimes alone, but usually with her Pokémon. While she's alone she just thinks about things, like Pokémon, life and death, love, and any thing else she doesn't have a clear understanding on. That's probably because she hates confusion and her favorite saying is 'Say what you mean, and mean what you say.'

History: Lexi has lived in all four regions at least once in her life. She was born in Saffron City, in Kanto, to Carrie and Douglas Zirkle, where her father worked at Sliph Co. When Lexi was three her parents started arguing. In an attempt to keep the peace, Lexi's father quit his job and moved to Solaceon Town in Sinnoh, because Lexi's Mother preferred a quiet, peaceful town. Both of her parents were happy, until Lexi was five, when a frightening ghost Pokémon was seen in the southern edge of town. After that, the family packed up again, heading for Dewford town in Hoenn. Lexi had barely celebrated her sixth birthday when her father couldn't stand to live in such a small town anymore. Lexi had also grown a distaste for small towns, so she and her father swiftly moved back to Saffron. They lived happily in Saffron for a few years, until they both started missing Carrie. Douglas wrote to Carrie, and she missed him and their daughter terribly, but would not set another foot in Saffron. Eventually when Lexi was ten, her parents compromised. The whole family moved to Ecruteak City in Johto. The city was large, but not as large as Saffron, and Lexi's mother was perfectly happy surrounded by ancient myths and legends.

Because of all the moving her family did, Lexi never really had any friends. At school she'd always have a small group to eat lunch with, but other than that she kept to herself. Her problems at home also strained any relationships she had at school. Because of everywhere she's lived, she never picked up any certain dialect, except for the word crayon, which she pronounced cran. Her experience in Solaceon town wasn't as frightening to her as it was to her parents; she was intrigued, not scared, by the ghost Pokémon. She's always preferred her father over her mother, since he tended to be carefree like herself, unlike her mother who was always nagging her. The compromise to move to Ecruteak pleased Lexi, because of her interest in Ghost Pokémon. Out of all the places she and her family have lived, Ecruteak is her favorite.

One day, when she was thirteen, Lexi was exploring the Burned Tower. She had seen ghost Pokémon and wanted to study one up close. A Ghastly had been the Pokémon she saw, and she stared in awe. Lexi was apparently too close, and scared the Ghastly. It attacked her, but instead of being hit with the Shadow Ball, a Bulbasaur took the attack. It was very low leveled, so he fainted on impact. Lexi ran to the rescue and scooped up the Pokémon into her arms. She dashed to the Pokémon Center and left him there to heal. It took longer than usual because he didn't have a Pokéball, and Lexi was hungry, so she went to go get a bag of chips. When she returned, Nurse Joy explained that Bulbasaur had taken off after he was healed up. After that day, Bulbasaur has always been her favorite Pokémon.

Dear lord, it gets approved today, and already some responses! One by one XD

Frostbite: As always, you're always welcome in any RP I'm doing =) Sneasel reserved Fantastic as always bud, ACCEPTED.

Perfect: Cyndaquil reserved. And you'll see what will spice it up later ;)

Iwasapony25: You may reserve Eevee, and as long as you mean you're busy now (Like RIGHT now, not for like a few weeks) =3
Okay, it's decent, but I would like the history and personality beefed up a bit more. He's moody when he's hungry, and serious in competition. What else? He can't always just be mellow. What ticks him off? What are his quirks? For the history, it explains the like for fire types, but not why he has his personality. Just try to connect the two a tad. For now, PENDING.
    Better, ACCEPTED.
Zeta: An albino huh? Sounds like something interesting to RP (And to read about!) You are ACCEPTED with Mudkip. Now to just do me a favor and make a trainer card please =)

Zirkle: Bulbasaur reserved. New to RPing you say? That was a great SU. ACCEPTED.

Remember, all reservations are 2 days only!

    Name: Francis Loss

    Age: 17

    Gender: Umm...I'm pretty sure...Male? :P

Appearance: Francis spends five days a week in the gym working his body to the max. His arms are pretty muscly as a result of this, and he is very fit. He stands at 15"8' which is pretty tall, and his skin has a tanned tinge to it. His head is covered in sharp, very short hair that is little more than fuzz, and the same thing is on his chin as a developing beard. Concerning facial features, his eyes are a bright turquoise colour. His nose is quite large (which he hates) and has a lump right near the top that makes his nose look crooked (which he hates even more XD).

Francis likes two things: the bad boy look and leather. He has been collecting leather jackets since the age of eight and wears his favourite one all the time. It is a black, sleeveless one that has a large collar with a few silver buttons on it. Underneath he wears a simple white shirt. His jeans are dark blue and are a bit too big for him, but he doesn't care. He wears sneakers most of the time though, which does remind people that he is a kid and not a mob member.

Personality: There is one word that describes Francis very well: Cocky. He thinks that there is not a person or thing that can best him in any way. Usually he is wrong and supplies himself embarrassment. When he gets angry he usually replies with his fists instead of thinking first. He likes his 'bad boy' look very much and thinks it makes him look 'totally awesome'. His muscles are his most precious possession and he likes to show himself off in the mirror.

But there is a side of Francis that people rarely see. He cares an awful lot about his family and their Pokemon. He frequently helps fix stuff with his dad, do chores with his mother and play with his little sister. Once he rescued a Smeargle he found living in a dumpster and took it back to his home. Now it is their pet and playmate. If anything were to threaten his family, he would make sure that they'd be sorry. He doesn't like talking about what happened to his brother.

History: Francis was born in Cherrygrove City in the Hospital as a second child. He was raised as a normal, happy kid with a few friends and a pet Nidoran to play with. His parent's always expected the best out of him, helping him at every opportunity. His big brother Sheldon, who would have been 21 when he started his journey, was also his best friend. He occasionally got into trouble, like giving the class pet Sentret a bad haircut with scizzors in Preschool. (Based on actual experience XD) Nothing too special went on in the first years.

When he was 7, Francis. gained his own personal phobia. One day when he was playing at the beach with Sheldon, he was attacked by a Krabby. Sheldon called on his Pikachu to fight back. It used Thunderbolt, but it missed and hit Leo instead. He has been scared of lightning and electric Pokemon ever since. This was also the time that his mum was pregnant with his little sister, Janice. He also saved a Smeargle from living on the street in a dumpster and took it as a pet.

The problems started at 13. His brother left on a journey around the Kanto region, as he wanted to explore another region, and left Francis alone. He grew lonely and got a big attitude. He was constantly fighting with his parents, even though he loved them. Then one day after school, he came home to the news that his brother was dead. There had been a cave in at Diglett's Cave and he had been crushed underneath it. Francis was shattered. The attitude stayed the same, but he was kind to his parents and his Smeargle. Sheldon had left him his backpack, which was the only remaining thing. Francis kept it with him everywhere he went. When he was seventeen, he was visiting his brother's grave. He suddenly had the idea of going on his own journey, to finish what Sheldon had started for him. At that moment, he made a promise to his brother that he would fight for him and told his parents that he was leaving.

    perfectmonster: Lovely SU, ACCEPTED.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Day One: The Great Beginning

New Bark Town: The town where the winds of a new beginning blow. One of four places where new trainers may start their journeys as Pokémon Trainers. Replacing Professor Birch, Professor Gold now stands as a new trainer's first gateway into the Pokémon World. An event of which is supposed to be peaceful and joyous for both the trainer and professor.

But oh how times have changed…

Professor Gold is sitting in his office, in front of his computer, staring at the clock. He's waiting for the new trainers, or should he say, recruits, to make their way to the lab. It's D-Day: Turning the pure joy of a new trainer's journey into a little nervous quest, and most likely a quest that he knows these new trainers don't even want to be involved with.

The TV flashes: Team Zeta has been spotted in Violet City. Officers have no leads on what their motive to occupy Violet City is, but they are determined to discover the motive and the spot they are currently hiding in.

    ---------------------------------------------------

"Time to wake up!" Your parent(s) say as they shake you in your bed. "It's time to go out on your journey!"

You wake up groggily, and remember today is the day, a day to start your quest. You must wake up, and make your way to the lab (In anyway you feel like really, it isn't really that important). When you make it to the lab, you will knock on the door, where one of Gold's assistants will pull you into the lab – literally.

"Hello there, child, you must be (insert name here). As you know, I'm Professor Gold. I see you were one of the five to sign up to start their journey today."

You reply, but as you do, Gold's expression drops, and you can see something is truly going on here, something that you weren't informed of.

"As I'm sure you probably know, Team Zeta has been around causing havoc. What you don't know, however, is that starting your journey today has more strings attached then just defeating the Pokémon League. The sign-ups were posted so that I could start new trainers on their quest, but to try and stop Team Zeta. What we have here is the element of surprise, as they have no idea this is being planned."

He takes a pause, which gives you time to react.

"Okay, now that I've given you the background info, here are five Pokéballs, each containing a Pokemon. It is your choice of which one you want. Step on up and take your pick."

He steps aside from the table next to him, and let's you step up to see the options. Each Pokéball has a piece of paper in front of it, revealing which Pokémon is inside of each ball. Bulbasaur. Mudkip. Cyndaquil. Eevee. Sneasel.

"Ah, you have made a good choice," Gold replies after you pick your Pokémon. "Now I have a few more things to give you: A Pokédex and a Pokégear. The Pokédex is a high-tech encyclopedia of all 493 Pokémon. It will record data, which will be useful for me, but more useful in your quest. The Pokégear has a map, phone, and clock built into it. My number is already programmed in, for when I need to give you information on what you need to do in the fight against Zeta. Lastly, here are five Pokéballs, which you will use to capture Pokémon. It helps if you weaken the wild Pokémon first, though."

You nod your head, signifying that you understand what is going on.

"Good luck (insert name here), and I will be back in contact with you. Try to make it to Cherrygrove today, it should be a good stopping point for you."

You exit the lab, and after (optionally) doing a few things, you make your way to the exit of New Bark Town, and onto Route 29.

    ---------------------------------------------------

    What you MUST do:

    • First and foremost, use the dialogue for Gold that is provided
    • Make your way from your house to the lab
    • Obtain your Pokemon, Pokédex, Pokégear, and Pokéballs
    • End with your exit to Route 29

    What you CAN do:

    • Explore New Bark Town before you leave
    • Say goodbye to anyone you want to

"Time to wake up!" Lexi hears screamed into her ear. "It's time to go out on your journey!"

Lexi stumbles out of bed sleepily and checks her clock. Too early, she thinks to herself. Lazily, she gets dressed and heads toward the door. To New Bark Town. To her Pokémon journey. Big whoop. Her parents hug her and wish her well, a very generic farewell scene, with her mom even crying. Crying and strong emotions always made Lexi uncomfortable, so she quickly got out of the house and went south to New Bark.

    New Bark Town -------------------

She looks around New Bark town and quickly sees a Pokémon lab. Lexi knocks sheepishly on the door, and only a second later a man with dark hair and thick glasses pulls her into the large building. After regaining her balance, she finds another man sitting, and he quickly gets up at the sight of Lexi.

"Hello there, child, you must be Lexine. As you know, I'm Professor Gold. I see you were one of the five to sign up to start their journey today."

"Hello," Lexi says politely, "and it's Lexi," she adds quietly.

Gold's expression drops, and Lexi senses that there's more to this than the mainstream Pokémon journey.

Silence fills the air as Professor Gold looks at Lexi. She's speechless for a moment, then quietly says, "Okay," not fully comprehending the news.

Bulbasaur. Mudkip. Cyndaquil. Eevee. Sneasel.

Lexi stops and marvels at all the options. She pictures herself using each before she sees her Pokémon. Bulbasaur.

"Oh, Bulbasaur please!" she says, more boisterously than intended.

"Ah, you have made a good choice," Gold replies after Lexi picks up the Pokéball containing Bulbasaur.

Lexi nods furiously, extremely happy about her new Pokémon, despite the plans to disperse Team Zeta that she wasn't aware of.

"Good luck Lexine, and I will be back in contact with you. Try to make it to Cherrygrove today, it should be a good stopping point for you."

Lexi exits the lab, only a little frustrated that the Professor - who can't seem to get her name right - had a secret agenda for her, and, as she just realizes, four other people. The rest of her is too filled with happiness of her new soon-to-be-friend. Cheerfully, she pulls out her Pokéball.

    "Come on Bulbasaur!" she shouts.

A stream of light exits the Pokéball, quickly followed by a small Pokémon that looks like a green dinosaur.

"You are the cutest thing I've ever seen!" Lexi squeals in delight.

The Bulbasaur jumps at the frightening lady shouting at him. He's confused because she looks so happy, but she's still yelling.

"Oh now, now," she coos, "don't be afraid. We're going to be best friends some day. Right now, you're my only friend," Lexi confides in him.

Bulbasaur looks at the now calm lady incredulously. She seems nice enough, so he takes a few short steps next to her. She slowly bends down to pat him on the head. Bulbasaur starts grinning and cuddling up to the nice woman. He can sense that she's his trainer, and he feels very safe with her.

"See? I won't bite," she says as she picks the Bulbasaur up. "I'll put you back in your Pokéball while I check out the rest of the town. We'll be battling together before you know it!"

Lexi puts Bulbasaur back on the ground with a final pat and calls him back inside of the Pokéball. After attaching the ball to her belt, she runs her hand over her five empty Pokéballs. There isn't much to see in New Bark Town, so Lexi thinks about the Pokémon she'll catch on her journey while she walks down to the water on the eastern side of town and sits at the edge, running her fingers through the clear water. She's much more excited about her adventures than she was when she woke up this morning. Feeling suddenly anxious to get on with her journey, Lexi stands up, and heads toward route 29, but stumbles first. Head rush, she thinks while her sight gets back to normal. Okay, now I'm going to Route 29, she thinks, with a triumphant smile plastered on her face.

"Time to wake up!" Henry's mom said rubbing his back. "It's time to go out on your journey!"

Like usual, he shoved his head in his pillow and refused to get up but then he remember that today was the day, the day he got to start his quest. Henry slowly got out of his bed and made his way downstairs and out the door.

Since he lived kinda far away from New Bark he had to have him mom had to drive him down to the lab. But oh well, it saved him the energy.

Once he was at the Lab he went to open the door but was surprised when one of Professor Gold's older assistants grabbed him by his arm and dragged him in. He was confused for a second, but recovered quickly. He shook his head and walked over to the Professor, who was researching heavily on his computer. Professor Gold turned around and stared at Henry until he realized who it was.

"Hello there, child, you must be Henry. As you know, I'm Professor Gold. I see you were one of the five to sign up to start their journey today."

"Yes sir, That is me." He smiled. "It is nice to meet you."

Henry scratched his head and thought. That was really unexpected.

"Okay, now that I've given you the background info, here are five Pokéballs, each containing a Pokemon. It is your choice of which one you want. Step on up and take your pick."

Henry followed Professor Gold to the table. He took a look at each Pokemon. Each Pokemon seemed good but one really caught his attention. Eevee. Maybe it wasn't really strong now but it has many strong evolutions. He picked up the ball and showed it to the Professor.

"Ah, you have made a good choice," Gold replied after Henry showed him the ball containing Eevee.

Henry nodded and grabbed all the items he was given. He wobbled around at first but finally steady himself.

"Good luck Henry, and I will be back in contact with you. Try to make it to Cherrygrove today, it should be a good stopping point for you."

Henry attempted to wave goodbye and then walked out the door. Before he made his way to Route 29 he had to stop by home to get his bag. He waited outside the door until his Mom came and picked him up.
    ***At home***

"Oh, honey she is so cute!" His mom cooed to the small Eevee.

"Nice Pokemon you got there boy." His dad commented staring at Eevee. "Would make a great addition to a Co-ordianator's team." He sighed.

The Eevee just sat there and basked in the attention she was getting.

He picked up the Eevee and craddled her like a baby. The Eevee just relaxed in the hands of her trainer. "Well, it is time to start our journey." He said to the Eevee. She jumped out of his arms and onto the floor, wagging her tail.

Henry smiled and waved to his family as he heads toward Route 29. Eevee, which he had decided to name Ava, was prancing by his side and all of his items were now safely in his bag. Life was getting pretty good right now. Except for the fact that he missed breakfast. Oh no.......

    Chapter 1: The Journey Begins?

"Urgh... I think it's time." Groaned Adrian as he got up. He had just gotten here from Pallet Town last night, and was still tired. "Man, this is a bit early to get up. Great, I'm probably going to have to deal with a bunch of jerks today. Well, it's about time to wake yourself up." Adrian slicked back his white hair and walked into the bathroom of the hotel, when...

"Time to wake up!" Yelled Adrian's dad as he splashed hot water on Adrian. "It's time to go out on your journey!" Adrian stared at his dad for a second, and sighed.

"Dad... what are you doing here?" Asked Adrian, looking up at his six-foot tall dad. "I thought you left already." Adrian's father laughed at that statement.

"No, not yet. It was pretty late when we got here." Said Adrian's father as he got out of the bathroom. "So I decided to surprise you with that." Adrian sighed.

"Please, just... never again." Said Adrian, shutting the door. Adrian's father shook his head.

"That boy needs to learn how to take a joke." Said Adrian's father as he walked out of his son's room. "I mean, jeez."

After getting his shower, Adrian dressed how he normally did, revealing as little of himself as possible. He had on his gray hoodie, and tan pants. He put on his sunglasses and covered his head in his hood, before grabbing his bag. "I just have a feeling that I'm going to hate this day."

Adrian walked down the hall and began to hear really bad disco music. "What the hell?" Adrian looked back and was shoved out of the way by a weird-looking guy.

"Watch where you're going, kid!" Exclaimed the weird guy as he faced Adrian. "Don't you know when the Pokemon Master is walking through?" The necklace and bracelets all shook as this man talked. By the sound of his voice, he seemed to be about 14 or 15. His skin is slightly tanned, and he has brown hair. He is wearing a tie-dye shirt with red pants, and has a radio in his hands. He seemed to be way behind in the times. "You trash."

"Pokemon master? Ha! You?" Asked Adrian, grinning. "You couldn't be a pokemon master, oh no... oh, and by the way, the seventies called and are wanting you back." The teen growled before picking Adrian up. "What are you going to do? Call your mammy?" Adrian continued. "Yeah, you look so threatening, beating me up."

"Shut up you white-haired weirdo!" Exclaimed the teen as he dropped Adrian onto the ground. "Shouldn't you be in kindergarten?"

"Shouldn't you be in the Blue Oyster?" Asked Adrian. The teen snorted and walked away. "Oh, yeah! Running away, smooth! Come back here and fight like a man!"

"Shut up, I need to go get my pokemon from Professor Gold!" Exclaimed the teen. Adrian smirked as he pulled up his hood once more. He was fortunate that the light wasn't too bad in the hotel.

Adrian paid for his room and walked out into the sunlight. He looked down, the rays of the sun too much for his weak sight. "Damn, the sun's bright today." Cursed Adrian as he covered his face. He walked out into the area and looked around, looking either for disco boy, or Gold's laboratory.

The former wasn't hard to find, as he was sparkling like a diamond in the noon-day sun. Adrian decided it wasn't worth it to go after him, and decided to go to the laboratory, which was pretty close by as well. Today wasn't going so well by now. "I think that's his lab." Remarked Adrian as he walked to the laboratory. He looked at the sign, and indeed, it said, 'Professor Gold's Laboratory'. Adrian moved to enter the laboratory, but was hit by the door, as disco kid walked out.

"How dare he reject me! I'll show him what for!" Exclaimed disco kid as he looked at Adrian. "Oh, there you are, kid. I have some unfinished business with you." Adrian hissed as he covered his face.

"Oh, thanks a lot, jerk." Said Adrian before pulling up his hood once again. "That really hurt." Adrian's nose was bleeding, due to getting hit by a door. Adrian wiped the blood off of his face and wiped it on his pants.

"Oh, like I really care. Whatever, you're not worth my time, shrimp." Said disco kid as he stormed off. "My pokemon will be a hundred times better then whatever trash you get!" Disco kid disappeared into the crowd, allowing Adrian to enter the building. He knocked on the door, and was suddenly grabbed by one of Gold's assistants, quite an easy task, since he is quite small.

"Hey, what the hell!?" Exclaimed Adrian as he was dropped, literally, in front of Gold. "Ass." Gold looked down and began to speak.

"Hello there, child, you must be Adrian. As you know, I'm Professor Gold. I see you were one of the five to sign up to start their journey today." Said Gold, with a light attitude. It seems like he was having a good day.

"Yeah, listen. You might want to clean your door, because I kind of bled all over it." Said Adrian. Gold's expression began to sour. "Umm... if it's any consolation, the kid who did it is easy to find."

"As I'm sure you probably know, Team Zeta has been around causing havoc. What you don't know, however, is that starting your journey today has more strings attached then just defeating the Pokémon League. The sign-ups were posted so that I could start new trainers on their quest, but to try and stop Team Zeta. What we have here is the element of surprise, as they have no idea this is being planned." Said Gold, allowing Adrian time to absorb the information.

"Wait. So you just had five random kids sign up, and not tell them everything? Geez, you probably got lucky with it. What if you ended up with that jerk who nearly broke my nose?" Asked Adrian. Gold seemed to not care, and Adrian was starting to get pissed. "Geez, you like small talk, don't you?" If Gold was fazed by this, he didn't show it.

"Okay, now that I've given you the background info, here are five Pokéballs, each containing a Pokemon. It is your choice of which one you want. Step on up and take your pick." Said Gold, still serious. It was like he rehearsed this, and has said it before. Adrian was irritated at the man for being as stiff as he was, but decided not to argue. He walked up to the pokeballs and looked for Sneasel. He has always wanted a Sneasel.

"Let's see... umm..." Said Adrian as he looked at the pictures. The lights in the lab were very bright, causing Adrian to not even be able to see them, as well as giving him a small headache. "Can you turn down the lights? I can't see anything." No answer. "Damn it. This one, I guess." Adrian fingered the Sneasel's pokeball, but grabbed the Mudkip's. "Did I do it right?"

"Ah, you have made a good choice," Gold replies after Adrian picked his Pokémon. It helps if you weaken the wild Pokémon first, though." Gold handed each of these things to Adrian as he explained them, giving him no chance to put it in his bag. Due to his stature, he was having trouble carrying everything, each of the pokeballs threatening to fall on the floor.

"Uh-huh... thanks." Said Adrian as he attempted to put everything down so he could pack them.

"Good luck Adrian, and I will be back in contact with you. Try to make it to Cherrygrove today, it should be a good stopping point for you." Said Gold, looking down at Adrian, who finally got himself situated.

"Yeah, yeah. No need to tell me that." Said Adrian as he walked out of the lab. He was once again hit by the door, as the Disco kid slammed it back in his face.

"That's for getting a pokemon from him!" Exclaimed Disco kid as he ran off. Adrian cursed as he grabbed his head. His nose was bleeding again, and his stuff was scattered out on the floor.

After cleaning up, Adrian left the lab, the door even redder then before, and there could have possibly been a crack in it by now. Adrian didn't bother to seek out his father, having said goodbye the night before, and at this point in the day, he was probably getting drunk anyway. He needed to know his pokemon anyway, so he pulled out his Mudkip's pokeball. "Come on out, Sneasel!" Adrian tossed the pokeball, and out came the mud-fish pokemon.

"Mudkip!" Exclaimed Mudkip happily, as if it were saying hello. Adrian just stared in shock and anger. "Kip?" Mudkip backed up, nervous of his trainer.

"... Damn... lights..." Cursed Adrian, facepalming. Obviously, this caused his bloody nose to come back, and now he was bleeding even more. "Damn... blood."

Mudkip was confused now, he walked over to Adrian and sniffed to remember his scent. "Well, I didn't get a Sneasel, but at least Water types aren't too bad." Thinking this of a compliment, and rightfully so, Mudkip puffed his chest in pride. "And it's evolution is really good. I like you already, Mudkip. It's you and me, in a crazy world." He picked Mudkip up to get a better look at it.

Mudkip looked at his trainer and noticed that his skin was quite a bit lighter then many others who went by the lab, as well as having white hairs showing through the hood. He couldn't even see his trainer's eyes behind the colored sunglasses. "Damn, this is starting to burn a little." Said Adrian as he began to walk towards Route 29. "My eyes... are hurting. Probably should have looked in the shade." He let Mudkip walk behind him, as he was too lazy to put him back in his pokeball, as they walked towards Route 29. "Right, I should name you something, like other people seem to like doing."

Mudkip responded positively, picking up in attitude at the thought. "Hmm..." Thought Adrian as they got under the shade of the trees. "How about... Torrent?" Mudkip shook his head no, he didn't like the name. "Wave?" No. "Muddy?" Mudkip shook his head no harder for that one then the others. "Hm... Sparky?" And this one just confused Mudkip, but he shook his head no anyway. "Look, if I think of something on the trip, I'll name you then, okay?"

Mudkip nodded in agreement. Adrian's names didn't seem to suit well for him, too cliche for his tastes.

Mort's eyes opened slowly and he glanced around. He had been having the strangest dream that his parents had woken him up and told him that he was going on his journey, but Mort simply shook his head and sat up. In all truth, he was sitting about an hour away from New Bark Town in a sleeping bag. Mort grunted and stood up, muttering under his breath that his parents probably wouldn't have woken him up anyway. He quickly packed up his sleeping bag and doused the little embers left in the fire he had made, and then shouldered his pack and surveyed the area. He didn't want to make sure he had forgotten anything, and once he was sure Mort turned away and set off.

The sun was growing high in the sky by the time Mort arrived in New Bark Town, and it made him a bit anxious. He hoped that all of the good Pokemon weren't gone just because he had to walk all of that way. Mort figured it would be nice to get a super rare Pokemon for all of his efforts, and smiled a bit to himself. It didn't take long for him to be standing in front of the door to the lab, so Mort raised his hand and knocked. The reaction he hadn't expected was the one of the person on the opposite side of the door.

Basically without warning, the door was flung open and one of (or so Mort guessed) Professor Gold's assistants dragged him into the lab. Mort blinked, unsure what to do. Mort glanced around and soon saw the famed professor just a few feet away.

"Hello there, child, you must be Mort. As you know, I'm Professor Gold. I see you were one of the five to sign up to start their journey today," Gold stated.

Mort simply nodded. "Yeah, that's me," he said, not really sure of what else to say. Mort shifted from one foot to the other uncomfortably. As he was doing so, Mort saw Gold's expression drop suddenly, making him look a lot older. Mort frowned, wondering what information he was about to get told.

"As I'm sure you probably know, Team Zeta has been around causing havoc. What you don't know, however, is that starting your journey today has more strings attached then just defeating the Pokemon League. The sign-ups were posted so that I could start new trainers on their quest, but to try and stop Team Zeta. What we have here is the element of surprise, as they have no idea this is being planned." Gold cleared his throat once he had finished, and allowed the information to sink in.

Mort chewed on his lower lip thoughtfully for a moment. "Sounds fine to me," Mort finally said.

Gold offered him a bit of a smile. "Okay, now that I've given you the background info, here are five Pokeballs, each containing a Pokemon. It is your choice of which one you want. Step on up and take your pick."

Mort found a small smile appeared on his face once more. He walked up to the desk and saw that the choice was very limited. Mort's gaze stopped on the Sneasel, and he eyed it for a few moments before even touching the ball. Mort figured that with the small choice, this was the best Pokemon he could have picked. "I want this one," Mort whispered, clutching the Pokeball in his hands.

"Ah, you have made a good choice," Gold said. Even though he said that, Mort could've sworn he had seen a brief look of confusion flash across Gold's face. Mort smirked; of course he would find it odd. "Now I have a few more things to give you: a Pokedex and a Pokegear. The Pokedex is a high-tech encyclopedia of all 493 Pokemon. It will record data, which will be useful for me, but more useful in your quest. The Pokegear has a map, phone, and clock built into it. My number is already programmed in, for when I need to give you information on what you need to do in the fight against Zeta. Lastly, here are five Pokeballs, which you will use to capture Pokemon. It helps if you weaken the wild Pokemon first, though."

Mort nodded, not really paying attention. He was more focused on his new Sneasel, along with the new Pokemon that Mort could suddenly go out and find to capture. Mort, however, zoned back in once the professor offered him his new items. Mort took the Pokedex first, tucking it away in the side pocket of his pack. He then took the Pokegear, strapping it on his belt from the little cord that hung from it instead of putting it on his wrist. Finally he got the Pokeballs. Mort carefully hooked them on to the strap of his pack, placing Sneasel at the very front of the line.

"Good luck Mort, and I will be back in contact with you. Try to make it to Cherrygrove today, it should be a good stopping point for you," Gold said. Mort just nodded.

"Thanks, professor," Mort muttered, turning away from the man. "Thanks a lot." Without waiting for the professor to reply, Mort left the lab and immediately headed toward Route 29.

Just as Mort had got to the beginning of the route, he thought of Sneasel. Mort's lips twitched as he grabbed the Pokeball off his strap and tossed it lightly. There was a bright flash of light and suddenly a Sneasel was standing in front of him, claws gleaming in the sunlight. Mort crouched and stared at Sneasel with wonder, almost trapped by the healthy gleam of its eye.

"Sneasel," it grumbled, cocking its head to the side.

"I'm your new partner," Mort explained, though he wasn't quite sure why. "And you're my new Pokemon. My very first."

The Sneasel blinked. Mort slowly held out his hand. He wasn't quite sure about just offering himself up to a Pokemon with sharp claws, but did it anyway. Sneasel stared at his hand for a moment and then set his claws in Mort's upraised hand. Mort smirked at the Sneasel, who gave Mort a mimicked smirk right back. Mort chuckled, and then stood up. He recalled Sneasel, and looked at the big view of Route 29. He was excited to catch new Pokemon, but even more excited that Sneasel seemed to be an interesting Pokemon.

    Francis' House

"Wake up! Wake up, Francis!" Francis heard a voice yelling happily and suddenly a large weight hit him right on the chest with a happy "Wheee!".

"Argh!" Francis sat bolt upright. He groggily opened his eyes and rubbed the sleep out of them. He was in his room, and his little sister Janine was sitting on his bed with a massive grin on her face. "Janine! What the heck are you doing?"

"You have to get up now bro! Your Pokemon is waiting for you! Oh, I wonder what you'll get? A cute one! Igglybuff are so cute!" She continued to talk to herself as she slid off the bed and walked out of his room, leaving Francis on his own. Of course, today was the day he left. Francis looked at the clock.

"6:30? But it's so early..." he groaned. Slowly he got out of bed and went around cleaning himself up. After a hot shower he was down in the kitchen scoffing pancakes, rolling his eyes as his mother went on and on about her journeys. Francis was getting really bored. He finished his breakfast and quickly went to grab his stuff and after a quick, simple goodbye, he was off.

    Professor Gold's Lab

Francis ran most of the way to the lab, giving his body something to be happy about. He finally reached the shining door and knocked on it loudly. Without warning, it flew open and two hands grabbed him, roughly pulling him inside. Startled, Francis spun to look at his offender. It was a scrawny man in a white lab coat. Gold's assistant? It didn't matter in any case. This guy had asked for it.

"Dude, what the hell?" Francis growled threateningly as he rounded on the man, who stood motionless with only a slight twitch on his face to show his anxiety.

"Enough." Another voice spoke and Francis turned around to find Professor Gold himself standing in front of him. Francis immediately stood back and faced him with a sense of respect. He didn't want to make a bad first impression.

"Hello there, child, you must be Francis. As you know, I'm Professor Gold. I see you were one of the five to sign up to start their journey today." Professor Gold spoke happily, but his expression dropped and he started to look sinister. Something was going on.

"Yes sir. I'm very pleased to be here." Francis almost laughed at the words coming out of his skull. It was so unlike him.

"So I just have to take some names? That'll be fun..." Francis smiled and pounded his fist into his hand.

"Okay, now that I've given you the background info, here are five Pokéballs, each containing a Pokemon. Or at least, there was. The others have already been taken, so the last one is yours. Step on up and take your partner." He motioned towards a table next to him. A solitary Pokeball lay on the table, half red, half white, and incredibly shiny. Francis stepped up, anticipating the outcome. There was a bit of paper leaning on the ball. It read: 'Cyndaquil'.

'Shoot! I was hoping for something a little better than this...' Francis cursed under his breath. 'But wait... Cyndaquil has some pretty strong evolutions. With a little work, I could easily turn this around.'

"Ah, you seem to be happy with this specimen," Gold replied after Francis picked up the Pokeball. It helps if you weaken the wild Pokémon first, though." He took the items and put them in his backpack, clipping his new Pokeballs to his belt.

"Thanks a heap old ma- Uh, I mean Professor Gold!" Francis smiled to try and cover his mistake, but Professor Gold didn't seem to notice.

"Good luck Francis, and I will be back in contact with you. Try to make it to Cherrygrove today, it should be a good stopping point for you." Francis turned and walked out of the lab and down the gravelly road. He was a little sad to be leaving home, but he told himself to toughen up. He was going to need it if he was gonna make this trip. With a final glance, Francis turned and walked to Route 29.

    Route 29 (2-3 posts)

For all of Johto's new trainers, Route 29 is the first step out of the comfort of living with their families with a house and friends and people they fully trust they rely on, as well as the first step into a new trainer's journey. Not much has changed on Route 29 over the last fifty years, except that weather has occurred on a lot of the cliffs present, making it easier to traverse. In the distance, there is a plethora of trees waiting around, but there is one distinct object laying in the background: It appears to be a run-down house.

    What you CAN do:

    • Attempt to battle and catch wild Pokémon
    • Battle other trainers (RPer created, or a collaboration with the another participant)
    • Take a look at the sights
    • Stop at the base of Route 46 and take a look around

    What you MUST do:

    • End your first post for the route at the house (Where more details for the events to take place will be explained later)
    • EXCEPTION TO ABOVE: If you attempt to catch a wild Pokémon, end your post with the Pokéball shaking. I will determine if you catch the Pokémon or not.
    Wild Pokémon on this route:
    The Zeta Emergence
    Pidgey (Level 2-4)

    • Tackle
    The Zeta Emergence

    Rattata (Level 2-4)

    • Tackle
    • Growl
    The Zeta Emergence

    Hoothoot (Level 2-4)

    • Tackle
    • Growl
    The Zeta Emergence

    Sentret (Level 2-4)

    • Scratch
    • Foresight
    The Zeta Emergence

    Budew (Level 2-4)

    • Absorb
    • Growth (If Level 4, post must be better for this)

(OOC: No, this isn't the 'getting back' post. The plot with Disco kid will last quite a while, and might even last through the whole RP, so yeah.)

Chapter 2: The Greatest Pokemon Master! Adrian vs. Thomas! (Round 1)

Night time is the best time of the day for Adrian, as he walked down a small path. He decided to wait until the sun got a little lower before heading off, as a result, he wasn't suffering as he walked. 'Ah, this place is nice.' Thought Adrian to himself, looking back. His mudkip was hopping along with him, happy that he didn't have to be in the pokeball.

Adrian smirked as he removed his hood. The sun was low enough so that he didn't face any serious problems with burning or blinding, so he was content with letting his face be shown. He looked around at the trees in the area, which seemed to be lacking from the picture he saw. "I wonder what happened, maybe just the storms?" Asked Adrian to himself. It was at this point he began to hear music. "What the?"

It was Disco kid, his music blasting at full volume as he danced down the path. "What the hell?" Asked Adrian, his eye twitching at the sight. "Is he dancing down the path? That's pretty stupid." The dancing boy didn't hear Adrian's ramblings, but looked around, as if he was searching for pokemon, and saw him. "Oh god no."

"Ah, ghost boy! It's nice to see you here!" Said Disco kid as he put down his radio. "I just got my pokemon, and boy, will it be good! Already, it beat some trainer in a fight, and now, I'm going to humiliate you!" Disco kid pulled out a Great Ball and threw it onto the ground. "Nidoran, I... Choose... YOUUUUUU!" And as if on cue, a male Nidoran jumped out of the ball.

"Ni." Said Nidoran as it glared at Mudkip. "Do." Mudkip glared at Nidoran, who brushed off the glare with ease. Disco kid looked amused at the exchange.

"Aww, you think you can beat me. That's cute." Said Disco kid as he pulled out a Pokedex. "And your puny pokemon is only at Level 5. My Nidoran levelled up to 6 earlier, and I know I can handle you. After all, you'll be fighting Thomas Evans! The future Pokemon Master!" The Disco kid, now known as Thomas struck a pose, and Adrian, who was so dumbfounded by the stupidity of the moment, was unable to speak. Thomas looked at Adrian's eyes.

"Hm, freaky eyes." Said Thomas, but he shrugged it off. It was at this point that Adrian regained enough sense to reply.

"Oh yeah, like your appearance is any better. I'll show you, mister 'Pokemon Master'." Said Adrian, making sure to drip the words Pokemon and Master in as much sarcasm as he could muster. Thomas growled, clearly offended at the sentence.

    "Nidoran, get him!"

"Mudkip, standby for battle!" Exclaimed Adrian, ready to battle. Mudkip dove to the front, wanting to take on the nidoran in front of him.

    (Battle: Adrian vs Thomas!)

"Nidoran, start with Peck attack!" Exclaimed Thomas, pointing at Mudkip, his bracelets clattering together. Nidoran smirked before jumping high into the sky, its horn glowing white. "GO!"

"Mudkip, dodge and use Tackle!" Yelled Adrian, surprised that Nidoran could jump that high. Mudkip jumped to the side, avoiding the attack, before quickly jumping back and slamming into the Nidoran, knocking it back, but the Nidoran smirked.

"Use the secret move!" Exclaimed Thomas, smiling. Nidoran looked at Mudkip before shooting a psychic wave out of its horn. This move caught both Mudkip and Adrian off guard, and hit Mudkip quite hard. "Ahaha! How'd you like our Confusion attack!? The guy who gave it to me told me about it!"

"Man, that's an unusual attack." Said Adrian to himself. "Have to watch out for it, or I might lose. Mudkip, use Growl!" Mudkip growled cutely at the Nidoran, as a way to drop its attack, but it didn't work.

"Ahaha! That's HILARIOUS," laughed Thomas. "Use Confusion one last time! Finish it!" Nidoran's eyes flashed blue, before shooting another psychic attack from its horn.

"Mudkip, dodge!" Exclaimed Adrian, eyes wide open. Mudkip was already on it, as it jumped out of the way of the attack. "Now use-"

"Peck, now!" Yelled Thomas. Nidoran jumped in and slammed into Mudkip before he could do anything. "And that's the end." Nidoran struck a pose, and looked at Mudkip, pleased at his victory. However, Mudkip got up, ruining Thomas' good mood. "What the? How is it still standing!?"

"Doesn't matter, now... Mudkip, Tackle!" Exlcaimed Adrian, pointing at Nidoran again. Mudkip shook off it's pain before rushing at Nidoran. Thomas smirked.

"Nidoran, dodge and finish it with Peck attack!" Commanded Thomas. Nidoran moved to dodge, but tripped on a root, and was unable to get out of the way in time. Mudkip slammed into Nidoran quite hard, sending it over the root and onto the ground. "Nidoran! No!" And with that, Nidoran rose up, pissed off at Mudkip to the point where all it saw was red. "You're still able to fight. Great. Now let's finish this thing off with Confusion!"

"Dodge and Tackle once more, Mudkip!" Yelled Adrian, quite surprised at how much of a beating pokemon could take. Nidoran fired the confusion once more, aiming to knock out, but Mudkip was able to jump over the attack, surprising Nidoran and Thomas, before landing in front of Nidoran and hitting it with a full body tackle, making sure to avoid the horn.

Nidoran fell, unable to move anymore due to injuries. Thomas looked on in horror, his only pokemon was unconscious, and it had to have been given special treatment. How did this happen? "N-no! I can't lose! I'm the Pokemon Master!" Thomas sneered as he switched his music back on. "Oh, you will pay." Thomas walked up to Adrian and punched him in the stomach. Mudkip growled and tried to attack, but Thomas kicked him aside, before pushing Adrian off of a cliff. Thomas sneered before walking off. He recalled his Nidoran and began to walk towards Cherrygrove once more.

    (Adrian)

Adrian groaned as he opened his eyes. His mudkip was in front of him, sleeping. "Where am I?" Groaned Adrian as he got up. He slicked back his hair and looked around. There was a house nearby. "What the? Why is there a house here?"

And indeed there was a house. It looked unused, and falling apart. Boards having fallen off, and windows smashed through. The paint that was once on the house had been peeling off, revealing the wood underneath. The door was once painted red, but so much of the paint was gone that it looked light brown with streaks of red on it.

The tiles on the roof were in varying states. Some held together well, while others didn't. Some had fallen off and blown away years ago, or were pried off by burglars in the past, trying to get in. All in all, it looked like crap. "Man, I feel sorry for the sap who used to live there." Said Adrian, looking at the house.

"Mudkip." Stated Mudkip, also kind of dumbfounded at this.
