Themes

Typically, I choose to make themes based on characters I liked from whatever shows I watched or video games I've played (usually the latter). My current avatar is like this: I like Persona 4, and I like the design of the main character. Especially with glasses. So I made my icon. I've stuck with it for ages.

I've also done themes a few times with my original characters, either with sprites (which I was decent at doing trainer sprite edits) or with stick figures. Unless I cave in and have someone draw me a really good picture, I'm not doing it again. I think I'd prefer to stick to characters people can actually recognize. XD;

I almost always make my themes myself. Even if they're awful, there's something satisfying about saying I did it. I've only used one banner that someone else made, iirc, and I didn't keep it very long. Or did I never get around to using it? I can't remember anymore.

I never make themes, per se.

My Avatar won't be changing...

Ever. (Fad, started in May, if it dies...

Things will happen)

So, I change my sig.

It might be jarring seeing Koizumi in my signature and Clefable in my Avatar, it's just how my roll.

Everything else is random. n_n

My theme seems to be what I'm into the most at the time, which is usually either a game series, or an anime. Whatever it is, it totally bothers me if my avatar and signature don't match in some way, so I make sure to either use the same character for both, or at least the same series. xD; Would never have a Kingdom Hearts signature, with a Pokemon avatar, for instance. Juuust how I'am.

First I have to be bored of my current theme. I have to look at it as much as anyone. Then I have to come across something that I like, visually speaking. Then I have to see if it would work as a theme. Lots of things wouldn't necessarily make good themes however much I like them. Then I have to decide if I want to take the time to make it. That's usually the biggest part. I've spent quite a while on a few themes, getting the images I want and if I'm trying to include something fancy then spending at least an hour getting the code to work how I want it to. (I'm not that great with css and all that.)

So if all the planets align properly I find myself with a new theme.

Actually, I change my theme whenever I get obsessed with something, so currently, I'm obsessed with Fairy Tail.

To be quite honest, I don't care that much for themes as I used to, I only bother to use avatars these days, with some extra lines of text in signatures, just not a fan of images in signatures anymore. My theme usually consists of a random thing I like (in avatars to be specific).

I don't really take the time to change my stuff. I have my avater as the forums ones. I have my siggy as Diglett because I like Diglett.

Themes mean a lot to me. It's the first thing people notice about me, and it has to be done well.
I like making interesting themes, and I'm my biggest critic by far. So it's not unusual that I change my theme after just a couple of minutes.

I never reuse themes, though.

My themes usually circle around my current manga/anime obsessions, or just random crap. I often make my themes entirely myself.

My current theme is a tribute to a gym leader in Black and White that I loved the second I looked at.
I'm surprised at how quickly I made it :P

I change my theme in like intervals of 1 month or so. But first I need to get bored with it, and find something that matches something I'm currently into. I like cool avatars and some words for my sig. That's how most of my themes are.
Themes are the first thing everyone looks at, so yeah, they're pretty important for me. It's basically how I express myself.

Sammy has themes that Sammy thinks would make a great theme and what Sammy is currently obsessed with
