HELLO
Hoo boy, I play a lot of music / rhythm mobile games that are gacha. Idolish Seven, Love Live, Utapri, Enstars.
Also Pokemon Masters, Obey Me!, A3! and others I have are gacha games... I'm careful with my money, I swear.
And my favorite Pokemon title, oh my god... Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald. I played those the most, and they've stuck with me the most over time. Hoenn best region, etc. "Too much water" doesn't turn me away. lol I will also say that I had a LOT of fun playing Gale of Darkness for the gamecube some years ago, and Stadium. Played the HECK out of the Stadium titles. I enjoy most of the games, so that was a strangely hard question.

gen 3 was great. choose one between ruby sapphire and emerald!

I GUESS? not gacha but i know that game is likely to also eat your wallet if you're not careful. LOL
My impulse is Ruby because that game is what pulled me back into Pokemon with how much I played it, but I'm gonna say Emerald, because it was actually the most fun!
Oddly I cannot make it through Omega Ruby despite trying two or three times, it doesn't hook me as much?

I replayed Sapphire so many times but couldn't finish Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire

What is it that's kept you hooked on Pokemon for the last 23 years?
YEP SAME, I honestly have no idea why either, because I was SO EXCITED FOR THE REMAKES, but I feel they were missing something?? Though, plenty of other newer games are very fun.
I work customer service / cash office manager at a store, so it's nothing fancy, but we've been crazy since COVID. WOO.
With anime and video games, if I really like a series I will just keep liking it. Did that with Kingdom Hearts, Pokemon, Persona, Zelda. Everything I've REALLY enjoyed playing has just always kept a special place in my heart, so to speak. So when new content comes out I always eat it up. I love the world building in Pokemon, and seeing all the new mons, and new locations, the whole thing Pokemon world has just always been fascinating to me! Maybe because it's so different from ours and they keep expanding it. I also love that it tends to blend easily with our communities, especially since Pokemon GO people have gotten very open about it again, and I've met a lot of friends because of it.
