    Hi there!

I'm 23 years old, living in Australia starting playing Pokemon when I was very young (first gen), had a bit of a phase where Pokemon "wasn't cool" around the original Ruby/Sapphire, so naturally I am SUPER stoked for the remakes. I slowly got back into it at Diamond/Pearl and then became full fledged obsessed all over again with X and Y.

I'm currently playing a "Rocketlocke" challenge in Black 2 while I'm waiting for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Only just getting in to the community side of Pokemon but the people I've met so far seem amazing and I look forward to meeting more of you :)

Oh a fellow Australian... I have to welcome you. Really nice to meet you, Dazmo!

I've heard about the Rocketlocke, it's a Team Rocket Challenge combined with the intensity of a Nuzlocke and I already know how brutal those challenges can be so it's cool to see you take it up an extra notch. Sadly I'm not one who does challenges well, but I'd be happy to show you PC's very own Challenges section which has a wide array of challenges you can take part in. It's a fairly active section on its own so hopefully you'll settle in with the regulars with no problems at all.

And yeah the Hoenn remakes are looking to be really great, although there will be mixed reactions after the news that was leaked earlier today but at least the games will be really awesome graphically. Speaking of X & Y, I really enjoyed the Pokemon Amie feature since I do love cute things and playing with Pokemon definitely brings out the cute side in them.

Great to see you're looking forward to getting involved after that nice comment on the community. I'm pretty sure we can meet your expectations so yeah do stick around and hopefully chat with fellow members! Don't hesitate to drop me a message if you are interested in a chat or two, I don't bite at all.

Have fun and enjoy your stay here, Dazmo!

    Hey,

If memory serves me right, we had a similar phenomenon with Pokemon falling out of vogue in 3rd gen in the states as well. At least, the initial surge of publicity had faded by then (Was going strong through 2nd gen).

As a result, I've been playing catchup since May, and OSAR comes as a huge relief because it seems like a lot of the Gen III pokes are hard to catch without actually playing RS.

    .

Yeah, that does seem to be the time that most long term Pokemon fans dropped off, even if just a bit. Probably a part of the reason for all the ORAS hype.

Greetings, I'm new too. It's funny I don't really remember the transitional period of Pokemon being not-cool and then cool. I just remember it as if it just happened over night and suddenly every one at school loved it.
