Okay, so I'm absent for 3 days due to Internet problems. I come back, and I receive a pretty little infraction.

Here is where my complaint begins.

My signature, yes, was over the size limit, so I just checked it now and got a sig disabled sign. However, I was infracted as well, which really pi**ed me off because I DID NOT REMOVE THE TAG, YET I STILL GOT INFRACTED. (First disabled sig, if that helps.)

I would like an explanation as to why I was infracted.

    Regards,

    ~Money Stack~

...I don't understand why you didn't contact the moderator who infracted you in the first place and decided to make a thread about it, but I guess its your decision.

Anyway, your signature, according to the moderator CP, was disabled in the past. Having your signature be disabled multiple times often warrants an infraction. For me, when I disable a member's signature for being over the limits, if they had that problem two times beforehand (as well as the time I have to deal with it), I will infract them for signature offences. But all moderators work different, for me its three signature disables, for others it may be less depending on what your signature was beforehand.

It just depends on the moderator who runs into your signature.

But if you would like your infraction reversed, contact a higher staff member (super moderators, assistant administrators, administrators, and staff administrators) and forward the infraction PM to them, explain the situation (which you may not even have to do since you made this thread and most higher staff members check the CQ&F often). Moderators can't reverse infractions anymore, so asking a moderator to do so won't get you anywhere unless they go to a higher staff member.

Just know that it'll be under their jurisdiction and just because you want it reversed doesn't mean it will be. It depends on how the staff member you go to sees it. Also, try not to go to one person, get a "no" as a response, and then go to another higher staff member to reverse it. It'll go away eventually and its not really that big of a deal considering the fact that its only one point and expires in, like, two weeks.

Sounds to me like a mod decided to flaunt their power around a bit.

If it was your first sig disable (and you couldn't do anything about it at the time), this is very, very unfair. Especially considering you didn't remove the tag at all.

Never mind. Lying through your teeth, are you now ~Money Stack~?

    ?

I don't recall ever having a disabled signature before.

The only sigs that I recall are Red Eruption (old hack), My FC and the H&S League (by itself). And they fit the size limits (500x300, I think?)

BTW, just forget it. I'll just deal with it for now, but this site is really getting on my nerves.

Whether you remember it or not doesn't matter. Truth of the matter is is that its been disabled before and I honestly don't think any staff member would take that as an excuse if you were to respond to them like that after getting your signature disabled and an infraction earned.

But, looking at the moderator CP, I can honestly see why you wouldn't remember. The first time your signature was disabled was back on September 20th, 2008. Hell, I would understand if you wouldn't have remembered it being disabled a year from that time. But, unfortunately, getting an infraction after you have your signature disabled multiple times is just something that happens.

Anyway, you signature was disabled for the same reason every time. It was too big. So, even with the length of time between the signatures being disabled, it was disabled for the same reason as it was before and that's probably the main reason why the moderator who disabled your signature infracted you for the offence.

But, I see you changed your signature stating that you are going to leave. I find it amusing how you're leaving over something so trivial, but at the same time I can understand why this would get on your nerves. Unfortunately, there isn't anything I can do for you, and since you don't want to take it up with the staff member who infracted you (which all you had to do was respond to the personal message that was automatically sent to you) or a higher staff member... I don't see why it should matter.

With that said, I'm sorry that this site is getting on your nerves. Like I said, all moderators here are different and have different way of handling things that go on within the community, their forum, or in general. But you really shouldn't let one moderator's decision affect your entire outlook on the community.

Your signature didn't have the Disabled Box in it, so whether or not you were absent makes no difference.

It wasn't your first signature disable; you've been a member long enough to know the rules of the forum and your attitude in general in response to receiving the infraction is so petty and childish that you do, in fact, deserve the infraction.

And the infraction is worth one point. Get over it.

And for your information, you're not the first member that's disliked me, so if I get on your nerves, that's just too bad. lol

I've resolved the situation. Closing this topic.
