    Introduction

While I have recently adjusted a tad to Platinum's offensive style, it seems that stall has also maintained influence over a decent share of all the teams on Shoddy. While, yes, I have recently posted a new team, it was just way too defensively orientated at first and required a bit of fixing, which would keep the team successful for a rather short period of time (~1 week), but soon lost my interest with the same thing happening repeatedly and it somehow turned awful after more time slowly passed. Hopefully this team does not just die so shortly after its fixes were saved. I don't really care if you give bad advice, just that repeated posts that won't contribute to the thread are not really appreciated. I don't know how to format anything so don't expect beautiful stuff either. The team's really just one built to have plenty of resistances to back up weaknesses, and if you find that it's way too defensive, then I'll just say this now that it's meant to be a bit offensive and yet not obnoxiously weak to much. I don't feel like putting up this huge text for each Pokemon's role, so yeah, running away from my RMT because of your fear about some giant text isn't going to be smart. x]

    Team At A Glance

    Bronzong @ Leftovers
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 252 HP/84 Atk/80 Def/92 SDef
    Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)

    1. - Reflect
    2. - Gyro Ball
    3. - Stealth Rock
    4. - Earthquake
Normally I would've used Light Clay Bronzong, but I really didn't like having to use only one move if I were to use Stealth Rock. Right now, this Bronzong can be a lead that doesn't absolutely suck, still set up one of the two existing barriers, and set up Stealth Rock without being restricted to one offensive move. While, yes, Reflect doesn't last 8 turns now, it has a small but rather useful method of recovery (Lefties), it comes in exchange for not being somewhat weakened by loss of a moveslot. Bronzong also provides a nice Dragon resistance that is bulkier than the other one on this team, which is used for other purposes.

    Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Intimidate
    EVs: 192 HP/140 Def/176 Spd
    Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

    1. - Earthquake
    2. - Dragon Dance
    3. - Roost
    4. - Outrage
While at first I used Latias for my sweeper after the main threats to it were destroyed (Steel-types, Tyranitar etc.), and Zapdos for my physical Lucario and Scizor counter, I felt using 2 slots was a bit too much to fufill my wishes, preferring a combination of the two that filled most of their roles. Being not only a threat against Lucario, to evade any chance of Jolly SDLuke using Stone Edge or Ice Punch, I have pumped 176 Speed EVs in Mence, putting its Speed at 308, effectively outspeeding it. I put Outrage over Dragon Claw, mainly because of power, and while this set does have problems especially with Scizor, I just leave Outraging for late game when it is hopefully defeated.

    Vaporeon (F) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Water Absorb
    EVs: 252 HP/216 Def/40 SDef
    Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)

    1. - Hidden Power [Electric]
    2. - Surf
    3. - Wish
    4. - Protect
Gyarados is, arguably, one of the most prepared for Pokemon in the OU tier. There is usually at least one defensive Pokemon meant to repel its assault, such as Celebi or Vaporeon. Although this is practically not different from most other Vaporeon besides Specs variants, it's still pretty useful. I'm probably just paranoid, but if I really find Suicune is that bad of a threat, using Roar is a possibility. Otherwise, nothing much I can say about this set, because the moves have been typed so many times on a large number of RMTs, from both PokeCommunity and Smogon, you should have memorized them by now. The EVs give an extra bump instead of the normal 230 Defense I would get, and a little EV investment in SpD doesn't hurt at all, helps me take those critical Fire Blasts or normal Grass Knots.

    Snorlax (M) @ Choice Band
    Ability: Thick Fat
    EVs: 228 Atk/28 Def/252 SDef
    Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Selfdestruct
    - Body Slam
    - Earthquake
    - Fire Punch

With a large LO Zapdos weakness, Vance recommended that I use Snorlax. Not only does it hit hard enough for my style, but it's also not completely helpless against all attacks, boasting a very good HP and SDef stat. At first I would've used Crunch back then, but seeing how Scizor's just too popular these days, Fire Punch is being used for not being something to set up on. Return's power is nice, true, but paralysis really annoys a lot of common Pokemon these days, with offensive teams still having their dominance over stall teams that once held more popularity. Regardless of how RestTalking's effective has weakened, CB Lax was always one of its most useful sets, and will probably continue to grab my attention whenever I use a Snorlax, which isn't really common, tbh. EVs were adjusted to give more bulkiness, so it can take hits from Zapdos and other Pokemon a bit better.

    Mamoswine (M) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Oblivious
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
    Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

    1. - Earthquake
    2. - Ice Shard
    3. - Ice Fang
    4. - Stone Edge
DDMence is really hard to actually counter, and even then the closest ones would be a bit redundant with their roles already covered (Porygon2), others being a big fat no on this kind of team (Cresselia), and the rest being less helpful to the whole team. Instead, I'll just use Mamoswine for Ice Shard revenge-killing Pokemon stuck on Outrage such as Flygon or Salamence. I don't really like using Weavile these days, so I'll just go ahead and say "no", unless you have some good reasoning and logic ready to convince me. This member's probably not even close to going soon, only when there's a better answer to Mence will this guy every say bye, which isn't coming soon either. =/

    Magnezone @ Choice Specs
    Ability: Magnet Pull
    EVs: 40 HP/216 Spd/252 SAtk
    Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)

    1. - Signal Beam
    2. - Hidden Power [Grass]
    3. - Thunderbolt
    4. - Flash Cannon
Considering how Latias had the same problem as Mence did early game (Scizor), I used a Zapdos to, like I have previously mentioned, just get rid of Steel-types. But, seeing how Mence already covers its other skill, wiping out Lucario, I might as well use Magnezone for some firepower and more resistances; Rock, Dragon, Ice, Grass, Steel, Ghost, Electric, Dark, Psychic, and Normal. I'd normally expect Explosion, and so would most of you, but seeing how Magnezone's set absolutely dislikes Celebi without a super effective move, Signal Beam just says hi and boom, no more Celebi. Salamence already takes a very powerful hit with Thunderbolt, so I'm not really concerned with that, as for Flygon...well I'll have to predict right if it finds Magnezone locked into its Electric-type STAB move. The Speed EVs do sound odd, I admit, but they have a purpose. That EV Spread will outspeed Scizor by 2 points, and the percentage of Jolly Scizor on Smogon is extremely low, it's not even listened individually. In exchange, Thunderbolt should do a load to them, KOing most of them with previous damage or entry hazards except the ones with SDef EVs. I don't really feel like running max Speed, because Metagross with max EVs invested in that stat is less than 20%, although good logic and reasoning sure do have the potential to convince me.

Heracross is definitely going to go, yes, so let's just get that out of the way now. Most definitely this team has a lot of weaknesses, and if I mispredict it's pretty much game over, especially if BulkyMence goes early in the match. Possibly I need more secure ways of wiping out the main powerhouses of the OU metagame, who knows. I think more firepower is needed, just a tiny bit to do more wrecking. Quite possibly I'm most concerned with this Pokemon:

    • Tyranitar
There might be a few others, and it's your chance to help me cover up those weaknesses.

You're right that nothing on your team handles Life Orb Zapdos well, even though Heracross lives a Heat Wave and does a lot of damage with Stone Edge, and Mamoswine hits it with Ice Shard, you need more reliable insurance. First off, get rid of Heracross. You could Scarf it, or just get a more reliable thing altogether, like Snorlax. Snorlax handles Zapdos immensely well, and with a Choice Band or even an offensive set with Leftovers hammers things with Return / Body Slam. Tyranitar can be beaten with prediction, just don't let Bronzong die too early.

I'll come back later if you've made the changes.

I'll probably use Choice Band Lax, thanks for the advice.

I really can't find anything wrong with this team, good job. One tiny little nitpick: You could opt for Superpower somewhere on Mamo if you wanted, since you said this guy is mainly used for revenge killing Mence, so the Atk and Def drops don't mean much.

Solid team Green Tea however I don't like the Salamence that much. You don't have too but maybe this

    Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Intimidate
    EVs: 192 HP/140 Atk/176 Spd

    Jolly nature (+Spd, -SpAtk)
    1. - Earthquake
    2. - Dragon Dance
    3. - Fire Fang
    4. - Outrage
Just a suggestion to beat Skarms and Bronzong. The title is bad =D

But why does his mence need to beat skarms and zong when Magnezone traps and owns both ? o.o.

Also Fire Blast does squat to Zong >_>

    256 Atk vs 320 Def & 338 HP (120 Base Power): 180 - 212 (53.25% - 62.72%)

I don't see how a 2HKO is "doing squat". Quite a few Skarmory run Shed Shell (more should though), so they escape Zone. I agree though, Fire Blast sucks. Fire Fang still does 64% minimum, so yeah

I meant compared with Fire Fang.

Alright I admit it, I was wrong I guess Fire Fang is a better option. The trolls on Pokemon Elite 2000 are rubbing off on me =0
