Those times when a shiny ran from you or defeated you!

    Has this ever happened to you? It happened to me today, on FireRed. I was trying to get Chansy, when all of a sudden... A SHINY RHYDON! Okay...Okay... I threw a Safari ball... It popped opened! Wild Rhydon fled! ZOMG IT FLED!?!?!??!?! WTF!??!?!?!? I'M GONNA CHUCK THIS ****ING GAME AT MY TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was all like WTF... O_O My second shiny... gone. Now, back on topic. Has this ever happened to you?
     
    no and yes.. i've never actually encountered a shiny while in the safari zone. although, i once killed a chatot i was chaining for in diamond and it pissed me off so much aha :/

    Twice actually. Once was shiny geodude i ran out of pokeballs. Second was Shiny LATIAS >.< My friend put my masterball in the pc to 'scare me' to think that i had lost it.
    So obviously it fleds like always.

    He had a very dead arm and lost his saved file :)
     
    No. I only ever encountered two shiny pokemon in the real games(wurmple and roselia) and I caught them right away, just for bragging rights of course.
    My friend, however, decided to not have any pokeballs when he encountered a shiny tentacool. :/
    What's weird is he found that tentacool in FR/LG, not R/S/E.
     
    In the past few weeks, I've had really bad luck with shiny Pokemon. On the first occassion, I found a shiny Paras in the Safari Zone with only 1 Safari Ball left. It managed two shakes, but then it broke free and I had no more chances :( And then just recently when I was playing Fire Red on the VBA, I was stopped by the old man in Viridian, who just had to show me how to catch a Pokemon.

    um i have on my diamond when i was chaining. it fainted i was really depressed because my chain died right after that. but other than that i have never found a shiny on any other game except a pidgy i found on fire red today, first pokemon caught on game after i got my starter ^_^

    I swear that isn't set as a Pokemon, but as an image!

    OT: I've never had a Shiny escape from my wrath.

    Well, mainly because I've only ever seen two shinies - a Geodude in Mt. Moon and a Seaking in the Safari Zone.

    Both on VBA, ohohoho.

    I was looking for a Heracross for my Ultimate Mono Bug in Ruby, and instead I found this thing. And it fled, of course.

    Also, I once started a new game on Pearl without having deleted my old save and found a shiny Bidoof. It was just a Bidoof, but it still annoyed me that I couldn't really get it.
     
    in my Emerald version I found a shiny Poochyena but it used roar!!!! =(
