I'd consider him to be a major character in the movie, in my personal opinion.

I went to see it in IMAX and I was not disappointed in it. It was a lot better and different than I expected it to be having never read the books. Watching the movie makes me consider reading them, actually. The effects were superb and the acting was excellent!

I don't know why I waited so long to post here since I saw it the second day it was out, but nonetheless here I am.

I enjoyed the movie. I really didn't have extremely high expectations so I wasn't that disappointed, but I did feel as though it was going to have a darker feel which it didn't. I just really wanted it to have some dark or creepy undertones to it. When I read the first book there were definitely times were I was slightly weirded out, which I enjoyed. I felt like that added something different to the book. I know this version of Alice in Wonderland was based on the second book, but I'm pretty sure the second book had just the same creepy feelings as the first.

I will say though that after seeing this movie I'm dying to read the second Alice in Wonderland book. I'm pretty sure it's called Through the Looking Glass, or something along those lines.
