So today I dyed my bangs and the ends of my hair a blue-green color, and I'm pretty happy with the results. I went walking around today and at the store I had a few people giving me weird looks, then I had two people (teenagers around 14~15) tell me they liked my hair, which makes me curious; what are your opinions on hair dye and the people who dye their hair, PC?

Do you think "outrageous" (very vibrant and bright) colors look good, or stupid? And would you ever dye your hair, or have you? If you did, or would like to, would you dye it something bright like a red or green, or something more natural like highlights? I know some people aren't into the idea because of the fact that your hair can be damaged from it, so if anyone feels that way, feel free to speak up as well, I'm just curious as to what the community of PC believes when it comes to this~

    Also forgive me for the bad play on words in the title. ; ;

I'm not attracted to it, personally. I find a person's natural hair color usually looks best on them. I think I would sooner shave my hair off than dye it.

i dye my hair occasionally most of the time its a normal color just highlights and stuff like that. my friend recently put hot pink highlights in her hair which just looks awesome though it faded pretty quick to a lighter pink. i would love to get a bright color put in my hair, just have to find a job first. :/

If you do vibrant colors right, they are awesome :)

But if you do them wrong... XO

To be honest, it depends on the personality of the person and the ratio of natural color to unnatural color.

Optimally, the unnatural color should not clash with the natural hair color, and it shouldn't be entirely an unnatural color. (Don't dye all your hair that color, it usually doesn't look too great, unless you're cosplaying an anime character)

To be honest, I'd probably dye my hair an outrageous color if I felt the effect would look nice. This is unlikely, since I usually prefer my hair to be short. On occasion, I let it grow out for a more wild look which suits me fine.

I've dyed my hair for...wow, eight years now. I don't even really remember what my natural colour is. o.O I've been bright red, deep red, purple, midnight blue and black. Currently I'm going back to midnight blue. :]

It was amazing to see the teacher's reactions at school, though. I was a goody-two-shoes straight-A student, and they just didn't have the heart to tell me to wash it out. XD Remember folks, smile at your teachers every now and then and you can get away with murderrr!

I've never dyed my hair, although recently I've been considering dying my hair brown to get rid of my encroaching ginger-ness. Originally (we're talking when I was like 1 or 2) I was a proper ginger-ninja, a real red head but my hair rapidly turned blonde. It's started coming back. I don't want that.

i wouldn't dye my hair an unnatural colour, but i do enjoy looking at other peoples colourful hair. I actually wouldn't dye my hair, though most of my friends do. but i'm different like that, i never wear make up (unless im bored and want to experiment, or be funny) but i think if other people want to dye their hair (natural or unnatual colour) then thats their choice, and i hope they like the results.

Nope, I wouldn't dye it. My hair is a pain enough to take care of, thank you. Dx
But if I ever dare to, I'd try highlights first. They're pretty cute on other people. :D

Let's just say I'm not the kind up to it.

i love crazy hair colors =u=

duuuude i would totally dye my hair like, purple or green
or something, but i don't think it'd look good on me :C

I think that at the end of the day, people should dye their hair whatever colour they want - after all, it's their body.

I've dyed my hair once (black, semi-permanent) for cosplay, and now the colour's faded I wanna do it again~ I'd stick to natural colours though... Blue'd be cool, despite that.

I think the blue green sounds pretty awesome! But also I don't think I would ever do it, although I would probably get regular highlights.

It really depends on the person and the color, and definitely how well it's done.

When kids dye their hair outrageous colors just to be "different", I think it's incredibly stupid. Usually it ends up looking tacky anyway. But if someone does it to enhance their hairstyle or if it matches their personality, it doesn't bother me.
