I'm transferring it to Ruby now, so he'll be ready first thing tomorrow.

you know you can change your DS settings, make it tomorrow, get the Jirachi's and then change it back.... Just a suggestion..

when does it hatch?

Just walk around with it a bit.
You should open up your Pedometer function of the Poketch.
Poochyenas hatch after you take about 4,000 steps.
