Remember when Misty's Togepi evolved into Togetic in that episode where Togetic had to help the other Togepi? Do you think Togetic is going to come back in the Anime, and evolve into Togekiss?

I think yes, because it seems rational.

Yeah that was a popular theory, but there are other rational theories. I mean now that the writers are incorporating Platinum, Cynthia is just as likely to come and have one. Also since the writing isn't consist, they could just as easily have what was once a rare pokemon belong to a random trainer or coordinator. Heck we could have togepi forest.

also to add onto the many more theories, many believe that Nando himself might appear to have one...

Personally, I feel another Togepi Paradise episode will air, in which another Togepi evolves, and fights for leadership with Misty's. It inadvertently drags Misty, Ash, Brock, Dawn, and possibly May/Max + Team Rocket into the Mirage World. (And Team Galatic)

While there, Someone will drop a light stone or something, and Misty's Togetic will evolve into Togekiss, save the togepi from Team Galatic, but Meowth explains that Togekiss isn't allowed anymore, as the Mirage world is for Togepi/Togetic, so Togekiss returns with Misty. :P

    But that's just wishful thinking.

Even if Misty come back for an episode or two, I don't think it's likely. They're in Sinnoh right now, and Togetic was released back in Hoenn.

As I said in my post, Togetic is in another world. It's quite possible that Misty/Ash+Co will get pulled in by Togetic, when he needs them. :P

I don't think they'll waste another episode to show Togetic again. They're geting to the Mt. Coronet arc, and since they're structuring the anime into the Platinum storyline, Cynthia would probably appear with a Togetic.

    I think and hope so......................

I agree with the overall theory that Shirona will debut Togekiss. As Sora has already said, they might not waste an episode to show Togetic again.

giving Cynthia togekiss in platinum and the way the anime is going through the platinum plot atm, seems very possible that Togekiss will appear with Cynthia...

I am extremely doubtful about that kind of event.

Cynthia already has Togekiss, so that will probably not happen at all.

    Alright, next theory.

See here is the thing: I heard on the interview, the storyboard artists said Misty will probably not be coming back.

See, here's the thing. One of the reasons why we should take that interview with a grain of salt is because Masamitsu Hidaka (whom, while he did used to be Director of the Series, is now, in bold, a storyboard artist.) isn't in a position of power to determine these things in the show. What he says isn't written in stone, especially considering the fact that after season 9, he was demoted to nothing more than a storyboard artist.

Of course, I probably wouldn't believe him even IF he was still the Director (which, other than being a writer, is the closest to having something written in stone as one can get.), considering how he lied about us meeting Ash's father in Season 5, had legitimately, absolutely no idea that Platinum was coming out despite it being a common-known fact that even Corocoro not only knows about, but constantly talked about it's progress, and that two forms in a certain recently released movie about Shaymin debuted in Platinum, even though in that same interview, he bragged about how Ash was going to stay in the series for as many game generations as the games can produce, as well as he himself admitting that he was thinking about permanently removing Brock from the franchise during the OI, but changed his mind, but that's another topic, anyways.

speaking of topics... On topic: It seems to be a likely outcome. I think that the only thing that MIGHT throw a wrench into it is the fact that Cynthia owns a Togekiss as of now, but then again, considering how they aren't bothering to use Platinum's lineup for some gym leaders (such as Byron.), there might be the possibility that Cynthia might not own a Togekiss in the Anime (heck, for all we know, two thirds of her team might not even be the same as the Team she has in Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum.). The only sensible way for Togekiss to appear aside from Cynthia's team (assuming that it's even going to follow her Platinum team) is through Misty's Togetic making a reappearance. Since Bulbapedia, and by proxy, the fanbase as a whole, doesn't count movie appearances as actual debuts in the anime (otherwise, I think Mantyke would have been listed as having debuted in Temple of the Sea instead of at "One Team, Two Team, Red Team, Blue Team"), Togekiss's cameo in the Shaymin movie isn't likely to be counted, anyways.

Actually, now that I think of it, that may be a way the writer's are planning on bringing back Misty for a few episodes. Which would be pretty cool. I mean we havn't even heard of her since the very end of Battle Fronteir.

    To make it possible:
First, the writers will have to make an excuse for Misty to temporary join Ash and co. Second, they need some scenario where everyone enters the Mirage Kingdom or Togetic is going to meet up with Misty being joined with Ash and co.

It might be possible if Misty is going to join for about 3 episodes like Haruka did, but too much of a coincidence. Even for Pokemon.

True, but then again, High Touch kinda implied that Misty might make an appearance, considering how they added her into plot-important (though not necessarily the main) characters in DP (That is, May and Gary) instead of just sticking her with Tracey like they would usually do.

Either I'm not don't pay attention to how the characters are being placed or you're over-analyzing that single scene of High Touch.

    The writers can:
A: let Misty reappear, because she has a link with Togetic which can evolve into Togekiss. Though Ash and co meeting up with Misty and then stumble upon the Mirage Kingdom is smells, like said earlier, too much of a plot-device.
B: do something with the fact that Cynthia has a Togekiss in Pokemon Platinum.
C: give Togekiss, like how 90% of other Pokemon got introduced in the anime, to a Trainer of the week.
D: do nothing and give it to some random coordinator or trainer in a contest/Sinnoh League/Grand

Don't get me wrong I would welcome A, but the writers seems to be trying to put more game plots into the anime these day. Based on odds B would be most likely in my opinion.

Considering how it was kinda officially confirmed that Togepi's family are not pokemon you'd find in the wild (Heck, they would theoretically be myth pokemon, which they are in Mirage Kingdom, anyways.), the chances of C and D happening are less than 1%. As for B, as stated, they probably aren't really going to focus on Platinum THAT much. Besides, in regards to Game events being replicated on the show, correct me if I'm mistaken, but I don't recall the ruins in Celestic Town actually being blown up (There was a bomb threat in the games, but they certainly didn't go through with it, whileas in the anime, it did.). I don't recall their actually going to Lake Verity in regards to a bomb going off there. (Which would have happened by now.). While there was a Galactic confrontation on Iron Island in the Games, it definitely didn't involve using aura to cause a frenzy in the Pokemon Population, or using the Spear Key to cause a reaction on Spear Pillar (which was the case in the Anime). Therefore, Choice B, while Likely, is probably not going to happen.

Knowing this, the only surefire way to do it is via Choice A.

As for how High Touch is placing Misty, considering how for the last few openings she was placed with the likes of Tracey, Delia, and Oak, wouldn't it at least be a little unexpected for Misty to be placed near plot-important characters such as May or Gary?
