Considering how it was kinda officially confirmed that Togepi's family are not pokemon you'd find in the wild (Heck, they would theoretically be myth pokemon, which they are in Mirage Kingdom, anyways.), the chances of C and D happening are less than 1%. As for B, as stated, they probably aren't really going to focus on Platinum THAT much. Besides, in regards to Game events being replicated on the show, correct me if I'm mistaken, but I don't recall the ruins in Celestic Town actually being blown up (There was a bomb threat in the games, but they certainly didn't go through with it, whileas in the anime, it did.). I don't recall their actually going to Lake Verity in regards to a bomb going off there. (Which would have happened by now.). While there was a Galactic confrontation on Iron Island in the Games, it definitely didn't involve using aura to cause a frenzy in the Pokemon Population, or using the Spear Key to cause a reaction on Spear Pillar (which was the case in the Anime). Therefore, Choice B, while Likely, is probably not going to happen.

Knowing this, the only surefire way to do it is via Choice A.

As for how High Touch is placing Misty, considering how for the last few openings she was placed with the likes of Tracey, Delia, and Oak, wouldn't it at least be a little unexpected for Misty to be placed near plot-important characters such as May or Gary?

Idk, team galactic is pretty serious. Although we havn't seen much of them, I still think they are gonna blow a whole in lake verity and stuff like that. they just wont use the wrods "bomb threat". they'll say something like "A bunch of electrode used self destruct" or somtin.

They would need about a thousand electrode to pull that off (Which is impossible, even in the Anime, to do.), as the after-effects of the explosion carried all the way to Canaclave City in the games. Even IF we don't see Galactic doing this, I'm pretty sure that it would have happened by now if they truly were to stay true to the games (They don't even have to show Team Galactic doing it, just have a mysterious, earthshattering earthquake happen right where the main cast is.

I don't think Misty won't return anymore. First because she's very popular and if fans ask for her, eventually the writters will be forced to show her again, and second, because I love Misty XD
Anyway, I don't think Cynthia could have a Togekiss in the anime, because she has other kind of Pokemon, more powerful and savage like Garchomp. May be Nando can have a Togekiss, but I think the writters are not showing it yet because they want to continue the story of Misty's Togetic. Think about it, it has been done several times already (Sakura's Eevee and later Sakura's Espeon, for example)

Personally, I hope for an episode where Ash and co. meet Misty again, and after that they are all dragegd into the Togetic's world. After a battle, Misty's Togetic will evolve, and will the undoubtely leader of his world. I hope for that happen, but I think it won't happen 'til the end of the Sinnoh League (May be in the Sinnoh BF arc)

True, but then again, High Touch kinda implied that Misty might make an appearance, considering how they added her into plot-important (though not necessarily the main) characters in DP (That is, May and Gary) instead of just sticking her with Tracey like they would usually do.

You realize using High touch as an example is horrible right? For all we know, she could just make a cameo in Pallet like Tracey does. Yeah she is more plot important, but just because she is in the theme song doesn't automatically mean she will show up.

You Misunderstand me, I was more pointing out her positioning [in other words, the WAY as to how she had appeared] in High Touch, not her appearance in the opening in itself. If I was using her appearance in the opening in itself as an example, I would have also used her appearance in the Various other DP openings as well as in Spurt and labelled them as "Hints" at her reappearing.

That still doesn't really hint at anything though. I mean in Spurt they positioned all Satoshi's pokemon next to him like they would have some great impact. Though he did use some of his reserves, most of Johto, Muk, and Kingler still rot in Oak's lab.

In any case, I think that they could have Misty appear again, I just don't see it happening. I mean honestly, the whole Mirage Kingdom thing happening again seems like an enormous cop out. I think the writers could be a bit more creative than that...then again they made Buizel a watered down (certainly no pun intended) version of Sceptile.

She couldn't go next to important characters before because there were no important past characters before, just Oak and everyone. Although, I do think that she may pop up sometime in DP, whether it's to have another story or to watch Ash in the league.

So then basically Misty is just as likely to just make a cameo if Ash goes back to Pallet Town...? And Mastermind...you mean the debatable if its canon made for TV movie that first premiered in American to not only test new VAs but also commemorate the 10th anniversary?

Yep. And considering how the Japanese writers were the ones who wrote the special, it's canon. Besides, Some of the Episodes in Japan were nothing more than back-to-back special airings, which is what Bulbapedia itself stated. Therefore it still counts as a canon airing.

You know, going by your definition of "Canon", then the vast majority of episodes in pokemon aren't "Canon", as they are barely even referenced at all, much less on more than one occasion. I also view the movies as canon as well.

As for the Misty thing, I was only trying to point out a Misty appearance in that season, nothing more. And, yes, an opening doesn't mean too much, but then again, even then, there's a slight chance that it's predicted to be true.

Anyway, I think I read somewhere that Togekiss might appear as a cameo in the 12th movie. I doubt Misty's Togetic will evolve, because...why would it need to? It's perfectly happy in that...kingdom place right now.

Personally, I feel another Togepi Paradise episode will air, in which another Togepi evolves, and fights for leadership with Misty's. It inadvertently drags Misty, Ash, Brock, Dawn, and possibly May/Max + Team Rocket into the Mirage World. (And Team Galatic)

While there, Someone will drop a light stone or something, and Misty's Togetic will evolve into Togekiss, save the togepi from Team Galatic, but Meowth explains that Togekiss isn't allowed anymore, as the Mirage world is for Togepi/Togetic, so Togekiss returns with Misty. :P

But that's just wishful thinking.

Oh, that would be wonderful... However, I don't think they're going to bring Misty's Togetic back to the anime. V_V
