    10. Ghetsis - Awesome Mastermind
    9. Clemont - cool geek/comparable
    8. N- Nice to all Poke's, cool, comparable
    7. Ash - Friendly, compassionate, nostalgia
    6. Falkner- Cool hairdo, Nostalgia
    5. Elesa - Beautiful, yet wise
    4. Hilbert - My beginning in Unova
    3. Looker - Just adds fun
    2. Rosa- Cool hat and hairdo
    1. Colress - Scientific genius, great character, comparable
     
    My top 2 are interchangeable, or perhaps best described as 'joint first'. :)

    1. Serena - I think she's adorable, definitely my personal highlight of the XY series.
    2. Misty - I loved her relationship with Ash, plus I also have a preference for the Water type.
    3. Sabrina - Dark and powerful, I loved her set of episodes when I was younger.
    4. Viola - Beautiful and kickass!
    5. Ash - I grew up with him, simple as that! He's funny, compassionate and determined.
    6. Brock - I loved Brock in the early series, wise and steadfast.
    7. Dawn - Cute design and served as my player character in Pearl (aka my former favourite game and the game which I spent the most hours playing)
    8. Ritchie - Ash's better and more mature self!
    9. May- Never watched her in the anime series, but I love her as my character's friend in Alpha Sapphire.
    10. Jessie - I thought she looked very cool when I was a kid.

    My favourite characters-
    Ash- friendly, determined and awesome Pokémon trainer.
    Drew- cool, he has too many roses, and a quite pretty hairstyle.
    Serena- friendly, shy and helpful.
    Misty- angry but sweet and really cares for ash.
    Cilan- he is good. He cooks really well and looks forward to every problem.
    Brock- i like him as i watched him in indigo series. He is a perfect breeder.
    Bugsy- the bug Pokémon gym leader.
    Paul- i know everyone hates him but i think he is not all that bad.
    Reggie- elder brother of Paul, friendly and good.
    Sabrina- the physic type gym leader with her alakazam.
     
    I'm gonna put a trait I like about them as my reason (not necessarily positive), which is going to be short, but here it is:
    1. May (anime) - Relatable
    2. Red (PokeSpe) - Same as above :P
    3. Yellow (PokeSpe) - Interesting
    4. Dawn (anime) - Positive
    5. Gary (anime) - Arrogant
    6. Sapphire (PokeSpe) - Wild
    7. Misty (anime) - Hot-Headed
    8. Ash (anime) - Impulsive
    9. Brock (anime) - Reliable
    10. Jessie (anime) - Domineering
    (Honorable mention: James [anime])

    Most of them are from the anime, which is probably my nostalgia kicking in. :d
