Care to go indepth a bit more with your comment? Saying that only doesn't help the artist. State what may be wrong with recolouring. And also state what your opinion of the artist's work in more detail.

If you can't make a decent comment, then don't even make one at all.

Well, I defintly do need work on my spriting, and vaati I would love it if you pmed me some stuff to start on, oh by the way your name , vaati, does that come from the german word vati meaning father?

No,no, I understand I got a little to full of myself, I want to aim at getting better with pixel Art though.
 
they are okay nothing special.
and about the naruto, try using a different sprite other than brendan from R/S/E.
in all i say 6/10
and i would say try photoshop or flash, see that ~(HAUNTER)~ sig and my avy, made in photoshop by me and i just got it like a week ago and i made those within two days of getting it
 
how much is it? I always wanted photoshop, Im working out of paint rite now -_-
 
Well photoshop does cost a hefty bit, but you can download the full version of 7.0 off Limewire like i did ^_~
 
or go to adobe.com and get a 30 day free trial and i downloaded cs and cs2 of the wire which is lime

I'm glad to see you not give up and use our criticism to improve. That's actually not that bad for your first scratch. First of all, it looks like you have two light sources there. Pretend that the sun is shining down on the sprite from a certain direction, and shade your sprite according (Darker shades farthest away from the "sun," lightest shades closest to the "sun"). Also, use more than one color for your outlining. It's good that you didn't outline in all black, but black can come in handy to add depth to your sprites. Once again, outline your sprite in a little black in the areas that would be away from the imaginary sun. You could also use more colors when you shade so that the transition isn't so sudden. This too will add more depth. Keep working at it. Believe me, practice is the only thing that will help you improve. XD
 
That's a good start for a scratch. The proportions are pretty good, but I think he's a bit wide/fat, try trimming him down a bit. Contrast the shirt more (make the light color lighter, mostly) so we can see the shading. I hope to see some other scratches from you soon good luck.
 
Thanks for your support I will do A few scratches tonight, When I made it look like the sun was coming from one direction it didnt look good, But I suppose you are right.
 
Could a moderater please close this thread I will not be using this one to post my sprites, and Im sorry for everyone I was a jerk to here.
