4th Gen Totodile? Cyndaquil? or Chikorita

The first time I ever played Gold I had a Chikorita.

Im still pretty sure about Cyndaquil. But then Chikorita is also a high option for me.

Totodile is a pokemon I dislike, So I will not be getting that one :)
 
I always disliked Chikorita. Then again, I have never been a fan of grass Pokemon.
I thought Totodile and Cyndaquil were the two best starters. I stand by that opinion now.
 
I always liked Chikorita for its reliability, I dont recall a time where I struggled too bad whilst choosing chikorita.

Maybe thats because I have always liked Grass types.
I like Water types too. But Totodile just always seems a negative choice to me.
 
How so? I can see Mudkip being a negative choice due to its dual nature later on in the game, but Totodile?
 
Totodile in SoulSilver. Cyndaquil in HeartGold.

SS is gunna be my main game, with HG being my Runthrough, so I'll prolly end up with Chikorita sometime too.

If you have another DS, just start HG long enough with a Chikorita to send it to your SS XP

Im not entirely sure myself.
I usually do go for the Water starters

Squirtle. Mudkip and Piplup.

But Totodile always seemed like the worst water type. Maybe I just dont know Totodile's potential as I've never used him.
I suppose I should give it a chance.
 
You should. I love Totodile, and if you give him a chance, you will too I believe!
 
I should. I always end up with having way too many grass types anyway..

I guess its a toss up between Cyndaquil and Totodile then.
 
Get a couple of friends and breed and trade eggs for the starters you don't have.
 
Im going to be getting HG and SS anyway.
But HG will be my main :)

Its just a waiting game for me now :(
I'm hoping the trailer I saw is correct for a Europe Spring 2010 release
 
Hopefully it is a dual release in Europe and the US in Spring 2010. All the PC could play together then!

I never understood why in Europe we always got the games months later.

It irritated me :(

God....and we still have almost a YEAR to wait for these games. I am gonna get lunch before this hype causes me to go formally insane.
