    As you probally all know by now what the teams of the Johto gym leader's are;

    Falkner - Pidgey Lv. 9, Pidgeotto Lv. 13
    Bugsy - Kakuna Lv. 15, Metapod Lv. 15, Scyther Lv. 17
    Whitney - Clefairy Lv. 17, Miltank Lv. 19
    Morty - Gastly Lv. 21, Haunter Lv. 21, Haunter Lv. 23, Gengar Lv. 25
    Chuck - Primage Lv. 29, Poliwrath Lv. 31
    Jasmine - Magnemite Lv. 30, Magnemite Lv. 30, Steelix Lv. 35
    Pryce - Seel Lv. 30, Dewgong Lv. 32, Piloswine Lv. 34
    Clair - Dragonair Lv 38, Dragonair Lv. 38, Gyarados Lv. 38, Kingdra Lv. 41

    Who was the toughest to beat & why?

    Clair or Pryce easily as they are the last 2 of the Johto gym leaders. Ice and Dragon Types are very powerful and can be a problem wihtout a specific type on your team.......
     
    Morty had to do it for me. His Gengar was absolutely evil towards me. As for Pryce And Clair thank god I have a lot types covered.
     
    I find Clair & Whitney most difficult and occasionally Morty.


    Yeah I agree they where tough to.... actually those they and Pryce were the hardest for me....


    But it may dumb tohugh but once i chose chikorita and it evolved into bayleef it was hard forme to beat bugsy and fawkner because they had type advantage over me.


    So really it comes up to how strong your pokemon are they skills and type.
     
    This time around, brace yourself, Bugsy...

    My team was something like, lv18 Pidgeotto, about the same level Bayleef and a few more useless Pokemons.
    That's was so hard. I went back and forth from the gym to the Pokecenter so damn much. The levels are both higher AND I think they had some healing skill. Plus, the items gym leaders have are so annoying. I get their HP to red...and paralyzed or w/e...then BOOM full restore when my Pokemons are dying.
     
    I have to say Clair was the leader i found the hardest, i defeated most of the other leaders on the first try, Clair took 2 attempts and knocked out nearly all of my pokemon, her Kingdra was hard to defeat even with my Electrode which was Lv41 when first battled her
     
    Not to say what most people say but the hardest was still Whitney and that damn Miltank.
     
    hold on, youre asking about jhoto gym leaders and the poll's about kanto ones?

    oh! so thats the case, the most difficult one for me was clair..

    or both. i don't think starters really matter... they're a great elemental addition when battling the gym leaders... but they shouldn't solely be the basis to your winning or losing... unless you just grind the starter till it's over-trained compared to the rest of your pokes... (bad strategy).
    But the Kanto gym leaders I found much harder than I thought they would be.
