    I'd say cool trainer's since there always lurking in you'r regions best caves/gyms[what losers] as for the toughest individual trainer i'd say this dude in hoenn's victory road who had a slaking and dusclops i think he was called quintin or somthing

    In Unova id say Backpackers.
    'cause they're always in desert when your low on health and they have loads of different pokemon. Though the toughest trainer is the Backpacker in the Desert resort that has a watchog is is annoying, once he killed my whole team apart from Gigalith.

    I find the Psychic trainers a pain to defeat a lot of the time in any of the games, same with Ace Trainers sometimes.

    Veterans. They are TOUGH. This especially applies to Veteran Shaun in Challenger's Cave. He has a full 6-member team Lv62-63, uses type advantages... ugh! His Snorlax and Gigalith are especially tough to take down.

    Cool/Ace Trainers and Veterans are challenging for me because they're smarter compared to most other trainer classes, and some of their Pokemon even have TM/HM moves.

    Ace Trainers often became a struggle for me in the games. The high leveled ones always seemed to have these pokemon that are really hard to get rid of.

    Jeez, this is really hard for me to determine... I can steamroll even the toughest trainer that isn't either a gym leader, E4 member, champion, Battle Frontier/Subway competitor, or a leader of one of those baddie teams.

    God, the Cooltrainers. While I've admit they've declined since D/P, these guys were absolutely evil in 3rd Gen. The Victory Road Cooltrainers ripped me apart in FRLG and then there's the guy in D/P with a Gyarados before the 3rd Gym. I was younger then, but still, Cooltrainers too strongth.

    I agree with you, Ace Trainers (Cooltrainers) and Veterans have good strategy.

    I also had some of my Pokemon lose to trainers in Big Stadium/Small Court, the Pokemon to blame: Gigalith, Stoutland, Bouffalant and Scolipede.

    Ace Trainers and Veteran's are the hardest for me. (BW Veterans) they have the decent Pokemon that none of us have. )): Plus they're usually high leveled.

    I guess Breeders are fun too because they usually have Chansey's :3c Fun to pound for EXP. They can also be annoying to fight because they have 6 Pokemon most of the time. It's annoying when you're hurrying. ;-;

    Probably the Ace Trainers in the B/W Postgame. They usually have strong, fully-evolved teams, and for a while, were WAY ahead of my team in terms of levels (they still are, but not by as much now).

    Any trainer type who owns a gigalith. That thing will survive and hit you with a powerful move.

    This guy! My pokemon were tired from grinding and trying to find a decent Riolu and he caught me completely off guard with a full 6 mumber team, can't think of any other trainers that have come near to him really.
