Tracking Problems

I saw a twitter announcement a couple of days ago that the tracking issues had been fixed. Is it possible that that's just in the States because I'm still seeing all of the critters turning up at 3 feet and the compass has never flashed green. Would love to try out this feature but it's never worked for me. Maybe its operator error and I'm doing something wrong? Is it working for anyone else, especially in Europe?

Take everything with a grain of salt if it's not from the official source. The current Niantic team doesn't have much of a community presence so everyone is left speculating for the most part.

It was from the Pokemon Go twitter account not the Niantic so you're probably right. I am occasionally seeing posts from people who say its working for them. I just want to try it out /pout.

Well, it is still not working for me and I'm in the States. I sure do hope they fix it soon, though.

Trying to remind myself that at least the servers are working much better... Baby steps... ;)

Well, there was an uodate released yesterday. Sadly, it did not address the three step issue at all; just fixed some "minor text issues."

I'm also in the US and can confirm that all of my nearby Pokémon still have 3 steps.

Niantic unfortunately haven't even acknowledged the issue yet so we may be waiting a while for this patch. As said above the patch yesterday ended up just being "minor text issue" fixes but the game is supposed to patch bi-weekly so you have to hope they'll fix it within a couple of weeks. I'm pretty sure this has to be a priority right now - at least ignoring sorting out the server strain still :p
