2nd Gen Traded Pokes

If you trade a pokemon like Gravler from silver to gold to evolve it, then back to silver to play with it, would it gain experience like a traded pokemon? (This goes for other pokes as well)

No. It depends on the OT. Since the Graveler is in Silver's name, it will not receive a boost when in the same file in was caught in.
