I know at least one pair that isn't on the list...

However, since this pair seems to have existed for, like ages, it might be a reason to why it isn't on the list?

I'm talking about Arcanine and Soph...

Nay, the thing that's not fair is that unpopular pairs never came to announce, so they'll not get on here and other pairs who are known more have not announced and gets on the list.
