Knowing Where To Post Your Thread

 General Chat houses only those topics that fit nowhere else on the forum. Here's a list of things that don't go here:




  • Discussions about Pokemon: Use any of the Pokemon forums PokeCommunity provides.
  • Discussions about books, TV, movies, music, celebrities, etc: Go to Culture & Media.
  • Discussions about anime and manga: Go to Anime & Manga, fancy that.
  • Discussions on non-Pokemon video games: Go to Video Games
  • Discussions on computers and all other technology: Go to Technology and the Internet.
  • For hard-hitting news and debates, go to Discussions & Debates.

Other Guidelines for Posting


  • Follow the PokeCommunity Rules.
  • Don't post negative threads discussing specific members.
  • Try to remember that we're not a post-and-go section anymore. This forum was once dedicated to poll-taking, but that time has passed. General Chat is all about socializing, so don't feel like you can't come back once you've answered a thread.
  • Don't post in any thread that has not been posted in for more than one month.
  • [NEW RULE JUNE 2014] - Please keep thread titles clear. People shouldn't have to click on a thread to find what it's about because your thread title is a reference only tangentially related to the topic.
