#trending is a new series in the Daily Bloggity that looks and publishes some of the most popular Youtube videos that have been buzzing on the web the last couple of weeks. As this won't be a weekly series, this will just be appearing in this blog whenever I feel like it.

"How many times does the chorus repeat in your favorite song? How many times have you listened to that chorus? Repetition in music isn't just a feature of Western pop songs, either; it's a global phenomenon. Why? Elizabeth Hellmuth Margulis walks us through the basic principles of the 'exposure effect,' detailing how repetition invites us into music as active participants, rather than passive listeners.

Lesson by Elizabeth Hellmuth Margulis, animation by Andrew Zimbelman for The Foreign Correspondents' Club."

What do you think of this TED Ed video? What are your favorite repetitions in songs? Comment below with your thoughts and opinions as I'd love to discuss it with you!

‡ As always, the "Daily Bloggity" is self written by myself and includes just some of my opinions on different mediums. If you have a subject that you might want me to touch on, feel free to PM me or comment below! I would love to hear some of your ideas! Tune in tomorrow at 5PM Eastern Time for the next edition of the "Daily Bloggity!" Cheers! ‡
