Hello everyone, my name is Zeffy and I bring you a new challenge. You might find doing this challenge fun or the other way around. Ok, to the explanation.

Trio Species Challenge
Can you please explain?

~ This challenge limits your team to 3 Pokemon only. There are also a few rules that you must follow.

As mentioned earlier, there are a few rules. Here they are:

• You must obtain the first Pokemon of your choice before [FR/LG]entering Rock Tunnel; [R/S/E]before the 3rd GYM.
• The challenge is finished when you defeated the Elite 4. For proof, please give a screenshot of your Hall of Fame team.
• Emulators are allowed.
• HM Slaves are allowed, but they must not be used in trainer battles, gym battles, or any other official battles.
• If you can, please update frequently. Updating after defeating each GYM is recommended.
• No cheating/hacking/editing.
• Trading is allowed only for evolution purposes.
• If you can, have fun in this challenge.

In Kanto you can skip the 3rd gym till before Giovanni's gym, so you could basically use anything... Maybe you should edit that into something like before Rock Tunnel or before getting Cut

But I'll go Nidoking, Charizard, and Pidgeot.

seeing as how my team is rather feminine, i decided to use the girl character named Maria.

I started with a squirtle and beat my rival (Jonas), although none of that matters because it is unimportant to the challenge. I then exited the lab and sped through the beginning stuff to get some pokeballs. with the pokeballs i received, i caught many caterpies, hoping for one with a nature that didn't hinder special attack, but i was unlucky in that respect until i eventually came across a timid caterpie that i caught and named BakeryJane. BakeryJane was rather fast for a caterpie, but training was still difficult. I persevered and BakeryJane evolved twice, once into a metapod, the second to a butterfree. BakeryJane took on Jonas and won easily. She continued to destroy the trainers I came in contact with in viridian forest, and when I got out of the forest, i felt she was ready to take on brock. She was not and she died. But the second time, with much luck, BakeryJane was victorious over brock. I ran, with my new running shoes, to the entrance to mt. moon, crushing the dreams of trainers along the way. inside the cave, i was determined to find a clefairy, but luck was not on my side. Finally, i came across a clefairy and caught it, naming it Thomas. its modesty was overwhelming, but i decided to keep it. i realized that i also must catch a spearow to trade for CH'DING, so i did and named it a naughty word. i fought my way through the cave and taught Thomas mega punch outside. I beat my rival and then the nugget bridge and won a ticket for a cruise! i skipped misty for a bit and went to get the final member of my team, CH'DING. i forgot to save before trading, but it was adamant, so i swallowed my pride and decided it would do. CH'DING didn't like to obey me once it reached level 11, so i stopped training it and went to beat misty. I lost the first time, but then i taught BakeryJane thief and won because i'm super awesome. i went aboard the cruise ship and beat some trainers along with my rival and got HM01 from the captain. i was forced to leave for causing so much trouble, so i obliged. i beat the lieutenant next, using BakeryJane to show how intimidated i was (i wasn't). rock tunnel was next, so i entered it and then eventually exited it, it was exciting. many trainers fell at the wings of CH'DING along the route next to lavender town, and erika fell just as hard, but CH'DING wouldn't obey me, so i used BakeryJane. afterward, i scared the rockets out of the casino and out of that ghost tower thing. after obtaining the flute, i woke up a snorlax and killed it with CH'DING. arriving in fuchsia, i wanted to take on the gym leader, but then i had to save and stop playing. damn. oh, and at some point, i evolved Thomas. yeah, whatever.

@Ryu-Kun: Yes you can trade, but only one. You need to use one common Pokemon.

 

[mondays suck]

I finally started today. Named myself Kevin and my rival Justin (both, especially Kevin are stereotypical names for anti-social kids in germany, there is even the term "Kevinismus" (kevinism) for this). Randomly chose Squirtle and beat justin's Bulbasaur. Got to Viridian and obtained the parcel, which I - Oh, surprise - delivered to Oak. Caught myself some Mankeys, i'm going with a jolly one now, not nicknamed yet. Viridian Forest was a major pain with it, Weedles always got poisonhax. Mankey even fainted once (outside of a battle), luckily i still had a Caterpie and a Weedle i caught just before with me. In another battle, i needed 2 Potions and 1 Antidote to beat 2 Weedles and 1 Kakuna. But then i reached Pewter and everything became easy again. Brock's underling caused me only little trouble, Mankey got some Sand-Attacks by Sandshrew into its face, but i got lucky and hit. Beat Brock, which was - of course - easy. Obtained Running Shoes and saved.

Can't really decide which fighting move is the better one. Leer for anything bulky, Rock Tomb to beat especially Bug and Flying types better. 80 Acc isn't really amazing, but otherwise Spearow destroys me.

Progress

After capturing Seedot, I quickly leveled him up to Lv. 7 to learn Growth. After level-grinding, I headed to Petalburg. Mudkip sorta leveled up cause I need him to level up Seedot. I saw a Lv. 5 Poochy but decided not to catch it. I'll catch some in Rustboro later on. So, in Petalburg, I level-grinded Seedot to Lv. 10. After that, I did the Wally event. Then saved.
