Theoretically, I don't think I could handle commanding/monitoring three Pokemon at once. In terms of the game, I don't want six Pokemon clogging up my screen. XD; Or six trainers or whatever. And if you got that party of you walking around and had a triple Pokemon encounter and there was that ONE SHINY POKEMON THAT COULDN'T BE CAUGHT BECAUSE YOU CAN'T AIM and you had to keep everything from destroying it angryface >:I

  • No. I don't think it would work. Attacks would have to be completely redesigned, i.e. Icy Wind, Perish Song, Explosion, etc. I think it would have some heavy flaws as well.

Wait.. haven't they done 3 v 3 on Pokémon Battrio?

  • I agree. I think it would complicate things too much. I hope they don't have anything like that. It's frustrating enough when you're battling with a partner and their Pokémon knocks out the wild one you were trying to catch.

Think about it: Do you wanna command three Pokémon at once and have your brain explode? Or would you rather command two at once and have a minor stroke?

  • Thatd be cool. Double battles are already way better than singles. Itd take a lot of work to figure out how to configure it and i really cant see that being done, but its not a bad idea in theory. O, and to all those ppl above who complain about not being able to catch wild pokemon, what about in battles against trainers, not in the wild... Thats where the battleing gets intresting. Even more strategy involved ^^

  • I personally would be against it because I don't like Double Battles in the first place. They were okay when I first started in RSE but then they got highly annoying so I tend to avoid them and battle the trainers separately if I can so having to fight 3 trainers all at once? A definite no from me

  • I love double battles and all, but triple is a little much. Attacks would have to be redone, etc, etc. The list goes on, and I don't want to have to deal with it. I can handle double and single battles for now.

Nahh I don't think so. Double battles are annoying as it is.

  • Lets see how we like the snowball fighting game in Pokemon HG/SS first (since I think you use three of your Pokemon) and see how that works out first, either way it will be a bit hard to have three Pokemon at a time in a battle

  • Triple battles seem too much. As already pointed out, they would have to redo the attacks mentioned earlier. I also don't see how they would be able to fit 3 sprites in the same "circle" on your side of the field if they still have the battle screen designed that way next generation. Not only that but you would have to have a total of 6 health bars taking up a lot of space on a handheld screen.
