Hey I can't find the area where you can make friends for pokemon x and y so that I can battle and trade with them online. Can you guys point me in the right direction?

I think you're looking for the X/Y Friend Code Sharing thread, right? I dropped off a link in this post so be sure to check it out and leave your code for others to add you. :) Have fun! You can also include your code in your signature so it's seen underneath your posts. There's also the Trade Plaza for trading and Battle Center for battling specifically, of course.
