    It's a sad sad world when FMA and Inuyasha can beat Mazinger Z, meh, with the garbage Japan has been pumping out lately, it's no wonder.

    I'm incredibly, incredibly surprised that classic and amazing staples like Trigun and Cowboy Bebop didn't even make the list...and yet Tom and Jerry and Hamtaro did =/

    There's got to be a flaw in this <_<;

    It was a pop vote, they ask Japanese people from the age of 13-23 I think. So you're only going to find the more recent stuff higher up on the list.

    Ah, true...though I did see truly oldschool anime like Dragonball, Astro Boy, and Kinnikuman on the list. I take it those are frequently repeated on television?

    Astroboy had a remake just last year, so I think that's the one the list is talking about. Kinikuman...no idea, the anime got cut in Japan and the manga's the only thing going. And Dragonball has it's 20th anniversary coming up next year so a bunch of it's stuff has been rereleased.

    Ah, thanks for clarifying that =D

    By Kinnikuman, do they mean the new Ultimate Muscle or do they mean M.U.S.C.L.E? (the 80s one)

    *too many stupid questions from me*

    Could be either...since technically they're the same thing. Kinnikuman started as a manga in the early 80s, got a toyline that was HUGE for like five years straight and then it died down. Kinnikuman Sei is the one about his son that was shown on American TV.

    I have to agree with you there. What happened to all the orignal stuff?

    1. Fma... You could see why..

    Reason :
    1. FMA rocks
    2. There are so much games
    3. Manga for Normal Fans and for Fans who don`t have cable..
    Or for those who Didn`t Download episodes..

    53. Shaman King .. YAY.. Saw every episode in JP.
    (Needs to be 2 0 - 40..)
    54 : Inuyasha .. w00t!!
    ( Needs to be in the 5- 20)
    67.. Zatch Bell .. YAY!!!!! But why so low..?
    (I myself would like to see it somewhere 20 - 30)

    85. Tom and Jerry ... - I can`t even..

    Only problem there is that the vote is for Japanese people. The only way you can even get TV in Japan is through cable now...so that isn't a problem for them

    And Tom and Jerry was huge in Japan, I'm kinda freaked that no Disney shows ended up there since those are pretty huge there.

    Actually, Trigun and CB are more popular in countries outside Japan then in Japan, and arn't concidered to be "staples" and such. This is why a Japanese pop-survey done on an American audience was surprising to Japanese otaku's who conducted the research (like Evangelion being in the top 10).

    Btw, it's Asahi, not Ahashi.

    yea but evangelion is and it only got 20th... and on teh second one it got 22nd. I guess more people like it over here because the last poll they did for newtype NGE was #1

    Cowboy Bebop was pretty big in Japan when it aired, a lot more in it's reruns. As for Trigun, no idea on that one.

    I can agree on you about Trigun and Cowboy Bebop not making the list. They were pretty good Anime series.

    But c'mon. Don't diss Hamutaro (aka don't make me hurt you XD) It has three or four movies already out in Japan and a whole bunch of eppys (like, in the 400s I think) So its got to be popular there for it to keep going like that. I just wish it continued in america ;___;

    Anyone know where to download original epps? lol

    My only problem with Hamtaro making the list is that it would be like Dora the Explorer making the list of the top ten American animated series of all time...it just seems out of place <_<;

    38. Pokemon
    47. Shaman King

    yay ilike that list ^_- shaman king should of come 1st though
