Like the title says, what are some shows or films that you love but nobody ever seems to have heard of?

For me, it's Black Books. Dylan Moran + Bill Bailey = Hilarity And yet, I know a grand total of two people who have heard of it.

I'm not sure I have too many obscure tastes when it comes to tv shows or film, however I'm a big fan of The Mighty Boosh. It'd be fairly well known within the UK but I'm not too sure about elsewhere. But Noel Feilding is truely my moral compas. Such a random show, but I could watch it over and over. As for film, Big Fish would be a film few of my friends like in which I happen to love. Though as I say I don't have too many programs or movies no one has heard of that I like. I do like a lot of spanish horror films though, such as The Devils Backbone and Pans Labyrinth.

A couple of my favourite TV programmes that not many people outside of the UK know are "The Young Ones" "Filthly, Rich & Catlflap" and "Bottom"

All three starring Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson.

To me, Rik Mayall is my idol, an I love anything he's in. Not sure if anyone from the UK on here has heard of any of these? But they're a great laugh!

Also on that note, there is a movie called Drop Dead Fred, that stars Rik Mayall, I used to love that as a kid. Not sure if many people have heard of that either.

lol i love drop dead fred its funny as hell

I guess for me that would be Silent Witness. I hardly watch it but that said I never watch anything else besides random documentaries.

It's quite well known, but nowhere near as well as it should be. This is the comic genius that is Mock The Week. Too bad the series just finished...

One of my favorite movies is The Red Violin, but no one seems to know it. I think maybe a somewhat older crowd would know what I'm talking about.

Hmm... I like a lesser known film that (probably) won't be recognised: Mel Brook's High Anxiety. Some moments are funny, as it is a comedy tribute to Alfred Hitchcock. The take on the Psycho Shower Scene is... Hilarious.

As for TV show... Ergh, I watch quite a few lesser known things. One of my favourites was The Thick Of It. Dunno how popular it is, but it is a satirical look on British Government, especially the spin doctors, as 1 character is meant to resemble Alastair Campbell, ex "spin-doctor" for Tony Blair. It is quite funny.

Not many people watch Community, but I absolutely love it. One of the wittiest and most interesting shows I've seen in awhile.

Same for FlashForward. Pretty obscure shows that get overshadowed by things like Lost and 24.

Rik Mayall <3 He's brilliant, made Hogs of War for me.

I like Early Doors, good comedy yet very few people seem to have heard of it. 'Tis a good show. Then there's Spaced which is brilliant, and one I've not watched for a while but literally no-one I have talked to has ever heard of it, Dr. Terrible's House of Horrible. It's by Steve Coogan and uses really surreal humour, a little crude at times but and interesting show.

    How about:

    The Magic Voyage

    Freddie The Frog/Freddie As FRO7

    The Black Cauldron

    The Wuzzles

    Tugs

I absolutely love you. Completely and totally.
