Type: Null

Type: Null was the Aether Foundation's big project, their anti-UB weapon, yet ultimately very little was ever said about it unless you bothered to hunt around for info and talk to people. It was Gladion's signature Pokemon, yet despite apparently being a major scientific breakthrough, it was more or less forgotten about. The focus was very much on Lillie and Cosmog, with Type: Null being written off as a failed experiment that we never really got to see.

So, would you like to see more of Type: Null in US/UM - either under Gladion's ownership, or under someone else's, given that a total of three exist? How do you imagine these playing into the plot of US/UM? If these games are set after S/M, do you think Type: Null is likely to return in some form under Aether Foundation control, given that Gladion managed to get his to evolve?

I don't really care about Null having something to do with the main plot, I think the lore with it from the Aether files was enough. What I would like, though, is getting it before the end of the game. Silvally is such an awesome looking Pokémon, but since I didn't get it till the post game, I had no real incentive to use it.

Also, maybe do something with the third Type: Null? We know the first one is with Gladion, and the second one's given to the player, but the third Null is still with Aether. Then again, they could be saving for a later game so we can obtain the Silvally line then.

I love to use Type Null earlier in the game.

Would be cool if they had a little cutscene similar to Yveltal and Xerneas with some elements from the 1st pokemon very high with redos too just in case. And have it in the 1st third of the game.

Hmm. Type: Null is certainly interesting and I would be lying if it wasn't one of the two Pokemon I got hyped about during the announcements pre-release (alongside with Mimikyu)

Having more story to them might be good, but I am doubtful of that.

I agree with you, since we never found out the fate of the third Type: Null. One was owned by Gladion while he gave the second one to the protagonist after the main story, and while the third one was mentioned, we never knew what happened to it and I hope US/UM explores more of that.

Also, I do agree that Type: Null and Silvally should be before the postgame this time around. I know a lot of people wanted to use it in S/M but being postgame-only turned a lot of people off.

I'd actually quite like to see a Type: Full make an appearance as a major plot point, or a side story at the very least. As an alternate forme it's not breaking those sacred "no new Pokemon in the middle of a gen!" rules, and it'd be an interesting contrast to Silvally, which never really meant anything story-wise. It just kinda happened. Show, don't tell, GF. Show us why Type: Null is a failed experiment, don't expect us to pat you on the back for some minimalistic lore that we have to hunt for in game to get.

By the sounds of it, isn't Type: Full just Silvally gone crazy? I'm not sure if it'd be a form of it.

...possibly? There was never too much detail given about Type: Full, although I would imagine it wouldn't look too different to Silvally...perhaps Silvally could have a regressive alternate forme where it becomes more akin to what it was as Type: Full?

Either way, some acknowledgement of it would be nice. I know Gladion named Silvally, but Type: Full was never explicitly stated to be an evo of Type: Null...if anything it'd be a pre-evo, because the mask was applied AFTER they went berserk.
