Okay, In my Crystal version, my Tyranitar's moveset is nearly complete, with the standard Crunch/RockSlide/Earthquake, but I cannot decide what to give it for it's last move. What do you guys think?
lol other than the sandstorm resistance thing is claydol that much of a threat if tyranitar has crunch??
unless it has lightscreen/cosmic power setup...........
Anything that can block both rock slide and earthquake is a major threat. Tyranitar using crunch will result in EV split. If no sp.atk EV is added, that crunch will do just as much damage as rock slide (or perhaps slightly more), and all Claydols have one way to setup defense... possibly light screen, reflect or cosmic power. And then you'll be messed if T-tar got hit by toxic.
However, Flygon and Claydol aren't really common enough to dedicate an entire attack slot just for the sake of anti-ground+levitate. Plus, both of them are quite easily defeated by other Pokemon... one of them has almost no hp and can't heal without rest, while the other one has the ugly x4 ice.
I wasn?t really serious on the Ice Beam, though it?d be priceless to get a Flygon with it after you DD. @_@; But Flygon is OU, so I wouldn?t say it?s not common enough to be a thorn in a T-tar-based team?s side.
