Shoddy - Ubers Tournament
It's not a bad name, I'm just out of ideas. Well, here's the intro to this tournament.This tournament is Shoddy Battle ONLY!
Well, this is indeed an UBERS tournament. I know, The PokeCommunity doesn't really have many ubers tournaments here. I decided to host one outofcompleteboredom. We will be taking 16 people for this tournament. If we don't have 16 members yet, we will go with what we've got. Pairings will be up shortly after all players have signed up.
There will be CLAUSES that are up. The following clauses will be turned on during the battle.
Evasion Clause - Members and participants of this tournament cannot use moves or hold items that have anything related to the lowering or heightening Evasion or Accuracy. Since this is Shoddy, even if you try to use a move like Double Team, you will get a message like (But it failed!). So don't even try.
Freeze Clause - During the battle, each team can only have one member of the team frozen at a time. Subsequent uses of a move that has a freeze chance will not freeze.
OHKO Clause - 1HKO / OHKO moves will fail. Meaning Guillotine, Horn Drill, Fissure, and Sheer Cold are banned.
Sleep Clause - During the battle, each team can only have one member of the team asleep at a time. Subsequent uses of a move that has a sleep chance or specifically induce the sleep condition will fail.
Species Clause - No two Pokemon on a team can be of the same species. (e.g. you can't have two Groudons on the same team)
Timed Battle - Both players have a time limit to make their moves starting at 5 minutes. Each time you make a move, your time limit increases. I know, some of you hate the Timed Battle clause, but it is to only prevent forfeits if a player has to leave in the middle of a battle. Both players have to set up a good time to play. If one player leaves and their time runs out, it will be called a forfeit and he/she who forfeited the match will be disqualified.

The Rules
All participants are responsible for following these rules. Failure to abide to these rules may end up in disqualification.→ Follow all of the PokeCommunity Forum-wide rules.
→ Whether you lose or win, please show good sportsmanship. Don't whine if you lose.
→ Use the correct clauses. If you lose because some clause was turned off, blame it on yourself.
→ Both parties must agree on the winner. If a conflict occurs, both will be disqualified unless a Battle Log is presented.
→ Members who leave before the match is over will be disqualified.
→ If there is a draw, either decide a winner or battle again.
→ You must use the same exact team throughout the tournament! You can't use a Kyogre team for the first round and use a Groudon team for the next one.

Shoddy is an online battle simulator program. We choose Shoddy over WiFi since a lot of us do not have WiFi. Shoddy is online (and I assume you have the internet XD). Everyone should have access to it.
Where do I get Shoddy?
Shoddy is a program you download online, and it requires the internet to use it. You can get Shoddy by going to https://www.shoddybattle.com/ and download the program. Don't worry, it's virus free. Why would I be hosting an approved tournament if it had a virus? XD
I get a list of servers, what is that all about?
Each server is like a different room. There are main servers, like the ones on the main list. However, this tournament will take place on ABYAY's Server. You're right, there is no ABYAY's server on the main list. To access ABYAY's Server, do this…
On the right hand side of the screen you will see two buttons. Click the button that says Advanced. Type in the following:
Host: 75.109.11.25
Port: 1234
Register on the server and log in. You're good to go! When your opponent arrives, challenge them. Remember to turn on the proper clauses!
Shoddy doesn't count Explosion / Recoil wins and losses, who would win in such a situation?
If the battle ends with Explosion, it is a Draw.
If the battle ends with a Pokemon w/ Life Orb attacking with 10% or less HP, the Pokemon w/ Life Orb would win. Same with recoil damage.
Are there any banned Pokemon?
Nope. This is an uber tournament. You can use any Pokemon.
When will this tournament begin?
I will post a date for Round 1 when we get enough participants.
