4th Gen ubers

ubers are the Pokemon known to be too powerful for competitive battling only 1 normal pokemon is an uber: Wobbuffet.
4 Legendaries are not ubers: Manaphy, Shaymin, Jirachi, and Celebi.

There are a lot more pokemon that aren't ubers :/
All the trios, Cresselia, Regigigas (lol), and some others. Seriously, Regigigas isn't even OU.

I'm pretty sure Manaphy, Shaymin, Jirachi and Celebi are considered ubers. Ubers are basically all Pokemon that aren't accepted in the Battle Tower.

Serebii is saying Celebi isn't uber. Because it has a tone of weakness's

Pokémon that are classified as ubers are:

Darkrai
Arceus
Rayquaza
Groudon
Kyogre
Latias
Latios
Mewtwo
Mew
Ho-oh
Lugia
Dialga
Palkia
Wobbuffet
Deoxys
Giratina
Wynaut (though I personally think Wynaut should be at least OU)

some people also consider Manaphy an uber, but that's under debate.

I might have forgotten something from the list so if anyone spots a missing Pokémon there, please say so.

Basically, an uber is a pokemon that has a way over power of stats.

What makes them uber?
For example, Lugia has a total base stat of 680.
Now let's take something that is used alot in wifi, like Blissey. Blissey only has a total base stat 540. So Lugia pratically owns Blissey in every stat.

Why are they banned in competitive battling?
1.They are overpowered(read above)
2.Not everyone has acess to the better ubers. (Like Deoxys or Mew)

They're banned because they over-centralize the metagame. If every Pokemon was able to be used, we'd see Kyogres and Mewtwos on every team.
