Just went through some extreme training, and the Johto Elite 4 are defeated (Ledian with Ice Punch + Nevermeltice REALLY helped on Lance). I'm REALLY not looking forward to going through Kanto, mainly because I'm getting sick of these old sprites :P

I'll edit this post with the update once all my videos are done uploading XD (Have Pryce, Claire, the 4 elite 4, and Lance -.-)

Well, Im done with all the Kanto Gyms. Im training on Silver Cave's Grass Area because Im like 20 levels below Red's Pokemon. I don't fell like bloggong, so Ill just summarise everything.

Blue was the toughest one, especially because of his Gyarados, Exeggutor and Alakazam. I used a lot of Revives and Full restores so I suggest you train hard. The easiest were Brock, Lt. Surge, Blaine and Janine.

Well Ill blog the battle vs Red after I beat him. Then Ill start with Ruby (I wont do it on Emerald because Champion Wallace's type advantage)

Team

Glenn - Quagsire - Lv 52
Grounder - Nidoking - Lv 47/48
Roll - Graveler - Lv 48
Rocky - Onix - Lv 48
Porky - Piloswine - Lv 49

I also dont feel like posting the moves

Later guys.

Pokemon Crystal "Blog" Part 7, 8, + 9: Breaking Down the Ice, Slaying of the Dragons, and 1 More than Four?!?

After defeating Chuck and Jasmine, it was time to head off to the next gym, in Mahogany Town. I went back to Ecruteak City, and headed east this time, and surfed across the water, and arrived shortly in Mahogany Town.

The Gym was locked, but a guy was nice and told me to go north to the Lake of Rage for some sightseeing, so I did. I ran into a strange pokemon named Raikou on the way up, and he fled. I reached the center of the lake, and caught a mysterious red Gyarados, who seemed like it'd be funner to ride on him than a small crab. :P After the battle, a red scale appeared, and I picked it up.

I met a guy named Lance who asked me to help in discovering what was going on in Mahogany Town regarding Team Rocket. we fought through the hideout, and found the cause of the strange signals that made the Gyarados I caught red. After defeating the Electrodes, Lance left, and it was time to go to the gym.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhkhV518dUI

After defeating Pryce, I got a call from Prof. Elm telling me that the Radio Tower in Goldenrod City had been taken over by Team Rocket. I immediately went north, caught a Pidgeotto, taught it fly, and flew back to Goldenrod.

After fightin to the top of the tower, I found they hid the real director underground, so off I went to find him. After finding him, he gave me the card key that I needed in order to get to the real top of the tower, and I went back, and defeating team rocket, *supposedly* once and for all.

I flew back to Mahogany Town, as it was time to enter the Ice Path, and head on to the final Johto Gym. After sliding on a lot of ice and a lot of grinding levels, gathering the final HM, Waterfall, and arriving in Blackthorn City, it was time for my final Johto Gym Battle.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6cGx_H4la0

After defeating Claire, I flew back to New Bark town, and headed west for Kanto and the Indigo Plateau. At the end of Victory Road, my rival appeared and battled me again, finally realizing he lacked the trust and care of his pokemon. After a TON of more training in Victory Road, I used a Rare Candy to even out to exp bars when hitting level 62, and began my assault on the Elite 4...

Kk, so I sped through Kanto as fast as humanly possible, (The whole waiting to fight Misty/Blue thing was annoying -.-). Then I had to replace Stun Spore on Celest to teach her Flash, so I could get through Mt. Silver... >_<

So, here's the video of my final victory in Crystal! Generation 2 COMPLETE!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEBBwzIUyto

Unfortunately, the only pokemon I remember from generation 3 being available relatively early are Beautifly, Dustox, Ninjask, Shedinja (who I prob. won't use) and Masquerain... hmm...

They REALLY need a bug type that can learn Surf or Fly -.-

EDIT: Started Ruby, took freakin TWO hours to find a Female Wurmple that became a Silcoon. First Male I caught was a cascoon.

Nicknames? Celest for the Silcoon, Spitfire for the Cascoon of course. Silcoon is level 7, Cascoon is level 8. :P Cascoon doesn't know harden ;P XD Gotta love skipping a level of evolution :3 Was gonna do it to Silcoon, but got too annoyed waiting to find one -.-

going to pass o kanto gyms because they all took only a short time to beat

Endgame- Seeing Red
Making my way though Mt. silver at the end of the cave i find a dude who looks like me. His name is Red. He says he is the best trainer around. That's how our fight started. His Pikachu was a easy task to take out as was everything up to Snorelax which KOed everything except skya who walled him well. I had to stall him out but i defeated it. After that All i had was Skya who beat the remaining two Pokémon with only 12 HP (ran out of Potions). Now i'm the E4 champ and the best in all Johto. Red before he left he told me to go to a place called Hoenn next. I said thanks and headed off. Time to Go to Hoenn now I've always like the color emerald.

Wow, you really took out red at level 56-57? O.O

I was MURDERED at level 73, granted, fighting Charizard with Bug Types always causes issues :P Hell, at 80 he took out Heracross before Ledian managed to down him o.o

Alright first update in a trilogy for Johto. So far I haven't had many too many problems. Just recently I realized that I can't get a Leaf Stone for a long time so I have to get rid of Exeggcute and Weepinbell. Sad too because they are very crucial to the team's success.

Never said that i only had a few potions i used like 40 something. Flying is really a well rounded type so it's wasn't that hard of a Challenge.

on to the blog

When i leave my new house i go out to explore i look in my neighbors house the girl is the daughter of the local prof. I start to leave the town when i find this guy being chased by a Pokémon. I pick a torchic (cause it looks like a bird). Well the dude turns out to be the Prof. He gives me the torchic and tells be to go find his daughter. I do, we fight, I win. We make our way back and the Prof. gives me a pokedex. Before i leave the dorm mom gives me a present a pair of running shoes, no i can move a lot faster than before. That's how my journey has started now I'm looking for some flying types to start traveling with.
New friend and training
Well as i was leaving i found this little Tailow i caught him and named him Low. I then trained him up to level 10

Alright, I decided to do the blog for Team Rocket, Jasmine and Pryce. I'll need to do some Youtube Uploading madness and remember what I did ages ago..

Stick with steel!

Entering Jasmine's gym with gutso and pride; I wasn't going to back down easily. Backing down would be foolish, even if my pokemon are slightly underleveled for this fight! Despite this, Jasmine was fairly easy. Her Magnemites are no problem, digging was pretty much their fate. Machamp dug up and dug them away to certain doom.
Steelix, however, was a bit of a pain. Having such monstrous defenses left me sunk in the mud considering Machamp only took off a fraction of the health bar of the Gigas.

Meh, I won anyway!
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3LaoyzRVuW0Seeing as though I was done in Olivine, it was time to travel to Mahogany and head off to the Lake of Rage. Trainers were patrolling the route and Mt. Mortar. Mt. Mortar seems to have no use at first, but in reality, it's my only hope to get more than 3 fighting types in the second generation. Tyrogue, as it's named 'the scuffle pokemon.' is essential. I need all 3 of the Hitmon species line.. However, I can't get to the Karate King until I beat Clair and get Waterfall. This puts a snag in my plan. It also means that I will only be able to beat the Johto gym leaders with Muscle and Hercule. How... boring..

The route to the Lake of Rage is filled with Girafarigs and trainers itching to battle me. One trainer had a Slowbro which I thought would be a problem, but Hercule's Fury cutter was good enough.

Let's put this short. At this point, I kicked Team Rocket away from their hideout, obtained whirlpool from Lance and then proceeded to get Sludge bomb from the guy in the 'toll booth'. You've heard it all before! Do I really need to tell you about how easy this game is with 2 pokemon?

The Pryce is Right

Fighting types thrive in icy environments. This gym proved unworthy to my fighting types yadda yadda yadda.
Anyway Pryce, he actually put up a slight fight for once! However.. Muscle still defeated him relatively easily.. disappointing, I wish I had something more interesting to blog about for a gym leader other than the fact that I defeated him easier than I defeated a caterpie.

Here's the video anyway, sorry for the lame blogging

Next blogging will come when I get to the Elite Four! Annnd that'll be in a while I think.

I beat Red with TONS of luck. To beat him using 50-57 level Pokemon, is Luck. I had to use 22 Revives, 5 Max Potions, 6 Hyper Potions and 5 Full Restores. Also, I had Luck on Grounder's Focus Band, it gave me the Chance to poison his Blastoise and Snorlax! Blastoise, Espeon, Venusaur and Snorlax were the toughest ones. I spent 9 revives so to get rid of Espeon's Psychic PP and it took more Revives to beat Blastoise and Snorlax. Pikachu went down in a few Earthquakes, so did Charizard with Surf.

Ill start Ruby as soon as possible.

Now, The Final Team

Glenn - Quagsire - Lv 57
Amnesia
Ice Punch
Surf
Earthquake

Roll - Graveler - Lv 50
Rollout
Defense Curl
Rock Throw
Earthquake

Grounder - Nidoking - Lv 50
Surf
Earthquake
Toxic
Thrash

Porky - Piloswine - Lv 50
Powder Snow
Headbutt
Endure
Take Down

Rocky - Onix - Lv 50
Strength
Screech
Rock Throw
Sandstorm

I have already planned my RUBY team:
Swampert
Flygon
Camerupt
Graveler
Claydol

Sorry, it will probably take some time before I continue this challenge again. :/ You see, I got Pokemon Diamond for Christmas present (yeah, I actually haven't played 4th gen before :P) and I have been playing it like crazy for the past week. It will probably take most of my time in the future weeks as well, so... I'll try to continue this as soon as possible, though.

Pokemon Ruby "Blog" Part 1: Boulder Smashing Bugs!~

So, we were moving into a new town, yet again, and mom stripped me of my pokemon... AGAIN. This time, however, I was in an entirely new region, and was not interested in returning to Johto or Kanto, and was ready to conquer the Hoenn gyms, starting from scratch!

As usual, the professor of the town couldn't let me leave alone, so after I saved him using a Torchic, he gave me him as a reward. Soon, I left, met his son, and came back, and was given some PokeBalls. Immediately I headed north in search of some local Caterpillars. Luckily, I found a lot! Unfortunately, they all kept becoming a pokemon known as Cascoon... but I wanted a Silcoon! Soon, I finally found one, and I was happy :D

Soon, after much training, I was friends with a Beautifly named Celest, after my previous Butterfrees, and a Dustox named Spitfire, after my previous Beedrills. After going through the forest, wondering where all the bugs were, I found myself in Rustboro City.

I left the city to the northeast, and heard the familiar call of a bug pokemon! After a little searching, I found a pokemon named Nincada, and caught it :D As I hadn't had a pokemon like it ever, I named it Shuri, short for Shuriken, as it had a ninja-ey feel to it.

After 5 horrible defeats at the hands of Roxanne with all my bugs being level 13, I decided it was time for a change. I leveled them to 20, and Shuri evolved! And it... left it's shell in a pokeball. However, it only had 1 HP, so I put it in the PC box.

I took out Roxanne's Geodude in a single hit! And Celest hit level 20, and learned the ability Morning Sun... just the thing I needed! Then the real battle started...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpwWfL6yIRk

I officially hate grinding. Wattson took TWELVE tries... -.-

Pokemon Ruby "Blog" Part 2: Fighting Fighting with Flying!~

After my annoying victory over Roxanne, I left the gym, and was met with a scene of a Team Magma Member running away from a guy I met in the forest earlier. Going to investigate, the guy asked me to get back the item that was stolen from him. I pursued, and saw an old man, who said the Magma Member stole his Wingull. I entered, and beat the Team Magma member, he gave me the stolen items, and returned the Wingull.

I was taken back to the company the man belonged to, and the president gave me a PokeNav, which held a map of the region, as well as a letter for Dewford, and a package for Slateport, and asked me to deliver them. I backtracked through the forest, and eventually found myself at the old man's hut, who offered to give me a ride to Dewford, and then Slateport in exchange for helping his Wingull earlier.

I ventured into a cave north of the town, and was given the HM for flash from a guy inside. Unfortunately, he informed me in order to use it, I'd need the gym badge from Dewford. So I went back south, and entered the gym, ready to challenge the 2nd gym.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJe4rIhf4g4

Pokemon Ruby "Blog" Part 3: The Shocking Truth about Bugs!

Afterwards, I temporarily caught an Abra to teach Flash to to get through the next cave. :) I met Steven at the end, who gave me the TM for Steel Wing. Personally, I was surprised my Ninjask couldn't learn it, or my other 2 flying bugs :P

I returned to slateport, deposited Abra into my PC, and talked to Mr. Briney, who gave me a ride to Slateport City. After arriving, I went to find the guy to deliver the package, but he wasn't at the harbor. I went into the museum and found him. Team Magma attacked, but I fought them off.

I found out there was no gym in slateport, so I had to run up underneath the cycling road, as I didn't have a Bike, and my rival was waiting for me to battle. After a little further.

I soon reached Mauville City, and was ready for my next gym battle, but I decided to make a few pit stops first. I was given a bike to make my ride easier, and to advertise for the shop. I then went up through Cycling Road, to get some experience, then went back up. I then took a shot at the casino, and gained some TMs I would need later on in the game, as well as a Psychic TM for Spitfire.

I left Mauville to the west, and caught the 4th member of my team, a Volbeat I named Gloe. I soon encountered an Illumise I caught and named Floe. I taught them the Thunderbolt TMs i had previously gained from the casino. After more training, Gloe and Floe caught up to the others, and I was ready for my gym challenge.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IUufJbTkqE

Btw, Bugs seem to be getting weaker... I'm having to grind a TON now... this is annoying the heck out of me, tbh.

Summary:

Well, the 3 gyms I challenged were easy so far, especially Wattson's. Blue (the only pokemon I have, dont use HM Slaves in Gym battles) used Mud Shot thrice to beat him (3 OHKOs). As for Rival May, I thought I was gonna lose, but I beat her easily despite her Grovyle using Absorb all the time. I spammed Mud Slap to reduce accuracy, then Mud Shot to take some more HP and reduce Speed. She went down in no time.

Now I'm at the Old Lady's Rest Stop on Route 111, on my way to Fallarbor.

Okay, I'm finally back in front of a computer. The holidays were...interesting, I guess. XD So, I've went through the posts since I left and I'd like to congratulate all of those who have finished the 1st and/or 2nd generations in that time. And for those that have joined since the 20th, I'll be adding you to the first post momentarily. ^_^

As for my own progress...I've been playing through Crystal during the holidays.

I started with Totodile, thinking I'd have to go against Faulkner with him. But alas, I realized I had access to the Ruins, and therefore I caught a little Unown. And I of course stayed in there until I had a G, because that's my favourite, XD. I checked his Hidden Power Type, and realized it was Steel. I trained him a bit, and had to get him to hold a Berry during the match. And my Unown was successful on his first try, much to my surprise. =D

I then took the trek south towards Azaela Town, picking up a Poison Barb along the way as it happened to be Friday at the time. Unown was surprisingly sturdy, and remained the sole member of my party until I was able to catch a Slowpoke in the cave sharing his name. I trained the two in the Ilex Forest, until both were 14-15ish. Seeing as my Psychic-Types were facing a Scyther with Fury Cutter, I knew this battle would be a challenge. After one loss, I finally figured out my strategy: Slowpoke would Curse to the max against Metapod, and then sweep with Tackle. And it worked! =D

Arriving in Goldenrod City, I could finally build up my Psychic ranks. The first thing I did was catch an Abra, teach him all three of the elemental punches, and evolve him into Kadabra. I also spent quite awhile in the Ilex Forest looking for an Exeggcute. I nearly gave up, but I decided to try the tree just next to the Officer. And there he was! The next member of my team had to wait until later, as in Crystal, the Drowzee only lurk at night. As for Whitney, she was easy, as I just did Leech Seed+ Hypnosis with Exeggcute. ^_^

After KO'ing Sudowoodo, I talked to Bill in the Ecruteak Pokecentre, then ran back down to Goldenrod to collect my Eevee. I've been giving him massages and berries ever since, so I hope he'll evolve into Espeon soon. As for Morty, I suddenly grew disappointed when I realized Girafarig aren't available in Crystal. You see, that is how I used to defeat his Ghosts in my old Silver Version, heh. But anyway, it was a challenging Gym, and I had to reset a few times. What finally helped me was Exeggcute sending Gengar to sleep, and Leech Seeding his health away. =D

Finally arriving in Olivine City, I caught myself a Staryu. However, I've yet to use him in battle, mostly because he isn't Psychic-Type until evolution, and I can't get a Water Stone until later. But my Slowpoke could Surf, so he is who took me down to Cianwood City. And as you can guess, my Psychics creamed Chuck and his minions, so I got that badge easily. Similarly, while a little more challenging, I was able to defeat Jasmine thanks to my Kadabra's Fire Punches and Slowpoke's Surfs. ^_^

I then went to the Lake of Rage, defeated the Red Gyarados, had a chat with Lance, and then proceeded to pwn Team Rocket. While I was glad they had a lot of Poison-Types(a la Zubat), the Executives' Dark-Types were a little annoying. Luckily my Kadabra was there to back me up with his punch attacks. And following those darn grunts, I challenged Pryce. Instead of going after his Ice-Types' weaknesses, I pounded their secondary types: Dewgong went down with Thunderpunches, while Piloswine eventually succumb to repeated Surfs from lil' Slowpoke. XD

And that is where I am now. And since I am once again with a computer, I will update more frequently in the future. ^_^
