Chapter 6: Digging through the S.S Anne!

As I exited the gym, I noticed a house with the police next to it…so I head to it. The Police explained to me how they have problems with the Rockets and how they are behind the theft in the house. As I entered the house I saw what a disaster, the rockets had done. When I asked what they stole, the owner said only one thing. His Dig TM, which was apparently very valuable. Coincidentally as I exited the house, there he was! After being destroyed by Nessy he gave back the TM. I went to return it to the owner….and he said he'll teach his DIGlett Dig by leveling up…At least I got a TM! And I taught it to Bubbles, for the sake of having a counter against electric types. I battled my way through to Vermillion City, and caught my 3 HM slaves on the way. (Oddish, Pidgey, Mankey). But I realized that the gym was blocked by a small bush….I guess they need to hire a gardener….so I decided to board the S.S Anne for a bit and see how it is…and it was chock full of trainers! But among all the trainers aboard one caught my eye…it was Sora! After he was demolished by Nessy, I went to check on the captain and rubbed his back…he gave me the HM cut as a reward. I taught it to Oddish and was off to play gardener at Vermillion gym.

Chapter 7: Thunde....WHAT?!

I cut down the Bush and entered the gym. I demolished the gym trainers with dig. They used Pikachu, Magnemite and Voltorb. Then I went on to the switch puzzle, which I solved relatively fast compared t my usual OMGWTF 10 minutes of doom). Then I challenged the Gym Leader, L.t Surge.

Surge sent out Voltorb. I sent out bubbles. I dug underground, whilst he used tackle, which obviously missed. And when I came back up, Voltorb fainted. Next he sent out Pikachu. I dug below again and he used thunder wave, which missed. And after coming back up, the Pikachu fainted. He sent out Raichu who I knew would be a challenge. He used an X.Speed and I dug underground. He used Thunderbolt, which missed due to me being underground. I dug up and the Raichu fainted. So much for a challenge! And I received the Thunder Badge. And the gym, which was supposed to be a problem, turned out very good!

Chapter 8: Tunnels, Ghosts and Rockets!

As I exited the gym, I remembered that this game had a very big emphasis on the whole Gotta' Catch 'em all notion…and remembered that if I want stuff…I needed to increase my Pokedex entries, which I did.
After a bit, I transverse the rock tunnel without flash which was quite easy. Although Nessy died in the process… I also decided to go check out the Pokemon Tower…where I met Sora once again. He challenged me once again…and I of course beat him up. And before going further I realized that I need the Silph Scope…so I headed towards Celadon City.
On the way to Celadon, Bubbles evolved into Blastoise and I kept on going. When I arrived to Celadon…one place came to mind….no not the department store….Not the gym…the game corner! Where I met another rocket who challenged me to a battle…and after losing revealed where their secret base was…so I decided to check it out.
After a while, I had reached the bottom floor….and was challenged by the Leader of Team Rocket himself, Giovanni. After the battle he disappeared and left a Silph Scope! After this whole escapade I went to challenge Erika, the gym leader of Celadon…

i would've posted this update earlier, but my computer froze and i couldn't save my game, so i had to battle Winona again.

Spoiler:

She started with Swellow, and I started the battle with python, for training purposes. It took 5 crunches, due to her using super potions. Next in her line-up, Altaria I sent out fang, so earthquake wouldn't be affective. Took her out fairly easy. Next, Pelipper. I sent out Slime, thinking he could take it out easily. After taking it down to near death twice, it killed slime with a water gun.. Next to fight was python again. Missed bite, and it was over, due to poison Slime inflicted on it. Her final pokemon, Skarmory. It sucks when you don't have any attacks that aren't not very affective. I kept python out, she got a crunch in and fainted. Next, Stomach. He body slams once, its paralyzed. Well, this should be easier. It uses sand attack.. Dammit.. Four more body slams, and he's faints to the Skarmory.. My last resort pokemon.. Toxicity! I didn't want to use self destruct, due to the fact that he was the lowest leveled on my team. But, when he was dropped to just 4 hp, i had no other choice. With only one other pokemon alive on my team, i beat Winona. Didn't look forward to this battle..

I swept through mt. pyre and the aquas base. On my way to moss deep, koffing evolved (finally).

I never thought about the gym leaders types.. A psychic typre leader.. This is gonna be tougher than i thought...

I was right to worry. I started with python and crobat, because they're the only 2 that can inflict good damage on rock/psychic types. I decided to take lunatone out first. I went down quickly, mainly because of pythons crunch. Crobat was almost done, so i had to get as many bites from him as i could. I only got one. I sent outSwalot for his body slam, hoping i could paralyze it before it could kill seviper. I got 2 body slams in, then seviper fell. I sent out grimer, thinking sludge could do a decent amount of damage. It didn't. Whenever Swalot used body slam again, it got paralyzed. Perfect timing. right? Right after that, swalot dies. I sent out weezing, obviously. It was almost dead, until they used a hyper potion. I thought, "screw this!" and revived crobat and seviper, hoping i can use super potions on them before my other. Weezing died after he used a hyper, so i sent out crobat, so grimer can finish healing seviper. He got a bite in, then died. Seviper was pretty much at full health, and it took it out with one crunch. This will SO much easier with steel..

-helped Lucas defeating the Galactic Grunts
-got to Flaroma Town and seen the crying girl
-defeated the Grunt in front of the Windworks

-Defeated all the gym leaders that I had to defeat in Johto
-Caught a Chinchou for my team. Named him Glaucus
-Went to Indigo Plateau, defeated my rival before taking on the Elite Four
-Grinded my underlevelled team to an average of about level 39-40
-Defeated the Elite 4 members without too much problem
-Ok Karen was irritating but she went down
-Lapras was the MVP when it came down to Lance. Ice beam destroyed the dragonites easily
-And League Champion! Now I need to do Kanto
