Uncharted Waters
Somewhere down the depths, there exists a treasure beyond compare…
Co-GMed by Ray Maverick
Co-GMed by Ray Maverick
Background Story:
In a parallel Pokémon Universe, there exists a world, much different than the ones Pokémon are used to. Instead of the presence of large land masses, that world is composed of primarily of water, with a single land form in the middle of it, called Terra. This is where the Naval Army resides, the ruling body of Pokémon over the world. Very few civilians live on Terra, primarily because 80% of the world's population is living on floating houses, and some individuals chose to live on ships. These individuals are what the Naval Army calls Pirates, though very few of them actually engage in the act of criminality. Most of the Pirates are peaceful Pokémon, only interested in finding lost treasure, adventures, and such on the wide seas. Therefore, because of their peace-loving personality, the Naval Army and the Pirates were pretty much at ease with each other, with very little tension between them.
Plot:
An excerpt from Fleet Admiral Jin Inozama's Diary
Second of Taurus, Year 17xx
The headquarters was stagnant. The buzz of activity rarely rang throughout the place and, believe me, that is not common considering the size of the Naval Army headquarters, and the duty we were tasked to. But, we don't have anything against it. No activity means no chaos or something somewhere. Since Pirate Glub's death, Pirates were less foolish to start a ruckus that might get attention. There were all nice children under our belt.

Fourth of Taurus, Year 17xx
Someone sent the Naval Headquarters a letter. This was from someone named the Forsaken. From the looks of it, he's pretty much a foolish pirate. Imagine threatening the Naval Army that we should fortify our defense, and get ready for his take over. I mean, who would do such thing? Take over us? Glub the Rascal did not manage to do it. How could this Forsaken pirate do that? And he said, he is just a lone Pirate. That we should easily be able to defeat him. A lone pirate? No pirate exists without a crew. Does that mean he wants to take over the HQ alone? We dismissed the letter as pointless threat.
Jin Inozama
Tenth of Taurus, Year 17xx
Sorry for the long time on not posting anything. Several complications arose here for the past few days. It seemed to us that Forsaken is serious about his threat. He made his first move, and it was terrible. According to his second letter, he stole the two weather essence, the Kyogre's Raindrop, and Groudon's Ray. These two were of folklore status. Very few believe in their existence, and yet, this Forsaken managed to steal the two. We verified his claims since, before his letter came, we received reports of drastic weather changes in the four sea zones. The Forsaken's letter told us more. His plan is to gather all the essences' power to help him conquer the HQ, and thereby conquering the world. Our Supreme Admiral Yale Gerbert immediately mobilized all his forces for the worldwide hunt for the Forsaken.

Thirteenth of Taurus, Year 17xx
The essences were not yet returned to their proper places, and the Forsaken have not yet been found. It is hard to single out a new Pirate among many thousands. Yale was getting restless. He resorted, finally, to a drastic move; call on the help of the Pirate Council. He asked for their help in apprehending Forsaken, in which they agree. Now, the whole world is searching for him. He can't possibly escape.

You:
You are a Pirate, belonging to the Pirate council. You are one of the higher ranking members, though not the most. But, your voice is still counted in the council. You are tasked by your Council Leaders, and the Naval Army to assist them in uncovering Forsaken's identity, and apprehending him. During the course of the RP, you will meet up with your co-Council Pirates to plan on what to do, send in reports and such. You must be quick, since the Forsaken is slowly getting his plans hatched. Note: You are a Captain of the Crew.

World Map:
Description of Places.
1. Balanar Port-town: Located on the North-West Island of Terra. This port town is not frequently docked by ships, as most pirates prefer docking on Nartanos, the busier NW Island Port-town. However, despite this, Balanar is known for its ale, the only reason why Pirate dock here. There are a few establishments dotting the town, but they come rarely. A single tavern, the Blind Dunsparce, stood near the pier. Most of the citizens of Balanar are rowdy old man, and their wives, along with the occasional children.
2. Nartanos Port-town: The port town that has access to the Naval Headquarters. This is a busy port with many Pirates, and Naval Soldiers alike. New establishments seem to spring out of nowhere here. Nartanos is known for its festivities.
3. Linaya Port-town: Not technically a town, but certainly a port. This place has nothing to offer to anybody, except a small stall where a merchant-pirate decided to sell various useful things. The list includes food supplies, berries, several amulets, and the very rare fruits.
4. Kirin Port-town: Kirin is a modern town. Unlike the other port-towns, Kirin is the closest thing to a city. It has several two-story buildings. Most of this are commercial esttablishments, offering different kind of services to Pirates, Soldiers, and normal people alike. Most of the buildings here are two-floored, the first floor for the business, and the top floor for the owner's house.
5. Humos Port-town: Being close to the Sierra Madre Mountain Range, this place offers fresh produce from the forests and farms around. Soldiers never come here, and pirate seldom consider docking in this place, because: There is no access to the Central Sea from here. However, this is the only way to explored the nearby forests and the Sierra Mountain Range.
6. L'Jutal Port-town: The grandest of all port-towns. It is a mixture of Kirin and Nartanos. This place is popular because majority of the non-Terranian citizens of Wayard came from the SW Sea zone. L'Jutal is the capital of Terra, and therefore the prime spot in the world to meet various characters from all the seas.

Things to Know:
Spoiler:
Essences- the essences are, according to folklore, a part of the soul of a god, in jewel forms. They holds the world in balance, like how the two Weather Essence rules the over the weather. Very few believed in their existence. However, when the Forsaken claimed to steal the two Weather Essences, folklore was suddenly found to be true. The Naval Library dug up the folklores and kept a record of the remaining essences.
Mew's Gene
Ho-oh's Rainbow
Lugia's Whirlpool
Rayquaza's Squall
Uxie's Knowledge
Mesprit's Heart
Azelf's Will
Dialga's Temporal Jewel
Palkia's Spatial Jewel
Zekrom's Bolt of Thunder
Reshiram's Tongue of Flame
Kyurem's Icy Heart
These essences were featured in the folklores told by the Pokémon living on the world's smallest islands. Yale and the other admirals assumed there are more.
Forbidden Fruits- these are fruits known to possess undefined power. Unlike the essences, these fruits are real, and there are many individuals who ate these fruits, thereby gaining their power. However, these fruits, despite how powerful they are, only exist one at a time per specie. For example, a Flamethrower fruit exists in the world. No other Flamethrower fruits exist anymore. This includes already ingested fruits. Let's take Pirate X has Y fruit. No Y fruit exists anymore, nor does another Z pirate possess Y fruit. Also unlike normal moves, fruit-induced moves are stronger. An individual cannot ingest more than one fruit, as the fruits are theorized to be parasitic in nature. *Mechanics on obtaining a forbidden fruit will be explained later*
Pirate Ship/Crew/Insignia- Being a captain pirate, there are several staple objects you must possess. First of all, a Ship. One cannot venture out to sea without a ship. Even the most foolish of the Terranians would not go out to sea without a seaworthy ship. Usually, pirate crews start out with small ships. However, as they grew bigger, the need for a larger ship arises. The larger a ship, the stronger the crew is, if a direct relationship could be said.
A crew. This is fairly self-explanatory. A crew composes the main source of manpower on your ship. Pirate crews number on average at least thirty individuals, but some crews are known to have only less than ten crew members, excluding the captain. These crews are known to really strong and could rival those of much more members.
Insignia. This is the symbol of each crew. Each crew possesses a unique insignia that will make them known to the world. Whenever another pirate sees an insignia, he/she will know what pirate crew another pirate belongs to. Insignia are usually tattooed on the skin, though some embed them on accessories.
Bounty- the bounty is a large sum of money put upon a Pirate by the Naval Army. The money is a theoretical symbol of a single Pirate's strength; the higher the bounty, the stronger you are. However, since the Pirates and Naval Army were in good terms with one another, bounties served as a back-up plan, just in case that Pirate decides to backstab the alliance.

Non-playable Characters
Spoiler:
This list includes the Supreme Admiral, the four Fleet Admirals, the Forsaken, and the Five Threats, the group leading the Pirate Council and is considered to be the strongest Pirates alive.
Supreme Admiral Yale "Blast" Gerbert- this Druddigon had been a member of the Naval Army since he was still a wee child. His father, and his grandfather before him, had been Admirals for the navy during their time of service, but only Blast managed to secure the top spot. Blast had been known to be a ruthless Marine, but a kind-hearted and jolly fellow. He acquired the Fire Blast fruit during one of his recently concluded travels.
Fleet Admiral Jin "Bolt" Inozama- Bolt, a Vaporeon is the newest addition to the Admirals. He has been promoted by Yale for his intelligence and great strategy former. However, he is under-experienced when it comes to combat. He has the Volt Tackle fruit.
Fleet Admiral Wei "Quake" Zho- Quake, at first glance is not much of a Marine. Among the top officers, this Smeargle is the oldest, already at 59, one year junior to retirement. Many navy soldiers think of Wei as more of an artist, than a soldier. He is too soft-hearted and forgiving to be one of the top guns in the Naval Army. Wei, unlike the other admirals, has not managed to acquire any fruit, but he managed to Sketch a fruit-boosted Earthquake.
Fleet Admiral Luna "Flood" Storm- this Medicham, known as Flood among the marines, is not the most favorite of all Admirals. She is known as the most ruthless among the Naval Officers. She has certainly a masochistic way of thinking, enjoying inflicting pain on others. When Yale comes off as a very ruthless Marine, he himself admits that he is afraid of the Medicham. However, she respects her co-Admirals, and would never dare betray them. She ate the Surf fruit.
Fleet Admiral Yami- this Admiral was the rarest of all admirals. This Shiftry is seldom seen, and more seldom to show up at the headquarters. Not much is known about him, except that he possesses the Hurricane Fruit.
The Five Threats- these five pirates were pirates that have been viewed as a "threat" by the naval army, though without the former causing such trouble. Each one of them could instantly topple half of the Naval Army, singlehandedly, because of their sheer power. Their capture reward reaches as high as 5 million Pokedollars. Not much is known about their past lives, except they originated from the different sea zones. They are also the head of the Pirate Council, the group that all Pirates should answer to.
Captain Ingo- this Gengar originated from the north-east zone, born to two pirates. By the age of thirty five, Ingo managed to control much of the North-East Sea. He gained much respect of the pirate world, with a reward of two million Pokedollars, and a respectable crew, the Poltergeists, fourth Pirate Crew, to boot. He has the Bug Buzz fruit.
Captain Popo- this Furret originated from the south- west zone. Popo was a runaway orphan, or that was what was rumored to be. He joined the Crackle pirates by the age of fourteen, led then by Yale's rival, Juno, a Jolteon. When Juno fell, Popo took control of the crew and brought them up. To date, the Crackle Pirates is the second, most infamous pirate crew. Popo has a bounty of four point five million. Popo gained the Night Slash fruit.
Captain Morrison Faglio- this Manectric is the most famous of the five threats, being an ex-Navy Officer and such. His reason to become a pirate was unknown, though it is rumored that a previous Admiral pressured him to quit the Navy. All that is known about Faglio is that he originated from the south-east zone, and is leading the Howl Pirates, third Pirate Crew in the world. Faglio has a bounty of three million Pokedollars, with the possession of the Dragon Pulse fruit.
Captain "Azure Flute"- this Roserade is known by many names, but she is most commonly called the "Azure Flute," the item that is required to speak to Arceus directly. She originated from the north-west zone, and is the daughter of a respectable merchant there, Merchant Iliad. "Azure Flute," or Azure, is the captain of the all-female pirate crew, Rose Pirates, fifth strongest pirate crew. Azure has a bounty of one point nine million pokedollars, despite having no possessed fruit.
Captain Heil of the Axe- Heil is considered as the strongest pirate alive, after Glub the Great's death. This Haxorus originated from the central zone, born in the middle of Navy officers and civilians. It is a great wonder what made Heil choose to become a pirate. Haxorus founded the great pirate crew, the Claymore Pirates, strongest Pirate Crew in the world. Heil has a bounty of five million, and in possession of the Metal Burst fruit. He is the President of the Pirate Council.
The pirates under the Five Threats would be introduced when the time comes.
The Forsaken Pirate- the lone Pirate. His identity is unknown. Nothing is known about him really, except of his desire to steal all the remaining essences. His reason for doing this is also unknown.

You could also leave both spots or one spot blank for other RP'ers to join your Pirate Crew. :) Example. I am playing as a Captain. I decide to have a crew member, an Elekid here, and leave the other spot blank for another RP'er to fill up. More like a Mystery Dungeon Roleplay.
Council Captain: This is an element added lately in the story. Among the five Pirate Council high leaders, you have to choose one. Details regarding this will be revealed later. Only two spots per captain is accepted.
