Unknown Error Message?

So while I'm trying to map, every single time I go to the Viridian City map, it will ask me to save wild pokemon data when I try to leave. No matter what I try to do, it send "ERROR: (ENotAPointer) AdvanceMapError(5): Value $FFFFFFFF is not a Pointer!" Though all I did was change the wild pokemon encounters a couple days ago. No other map does this after changing the encounters, and I can't seem to fix the issue. Has anyone seen this before?

I don't know how to fix that. Usually that meant game over for my hacks. But if you have a backup before the issue you should go back to that one.

For future reference, close and relaunch A-map every time you change encounters (any type, grass, water, doesn't matter) on a map. It won't cost you much time and it'll prevent this issue. If you wanna play it ketchup-safe you can use the comparison tool in a hex editor to see what the program wrote to your ROM. Takes some hex knowledge but you'll understand and see pattern with time.

I guess you're using AdvanceMap 1.95?

If so, then that is likely the problem, as it is a beta testing version and many things in it are broken.

To fix this, simply downgrade to version 1.92, which is the latest stable build.
