Let's start with all the awful and/or nonsensical things that Trump and his party have done lately.

    Trump:
    - Implementing the abortion gag order that means that any international health group which even mentions abortion gets all its funding cut. It's already against the law for US money to go to international groups for abortion. So, like, what's the point except to cut funding from health services?
    - Proposing a border tax. This would mean that imports would cost more, and that hurts people who are poor because the poorer you are the more you spend your income so price increases affect them more than anyone. Maybe the dollar will get stronger to counter that, but no guarantees!
    - Saying he wants to lower taxes to 15-20%. That aint gonna help the deficit. Oops.
    - Wants to cut regulations by 75% (or more?). Like, which ones? Safety? The environment?
    - A bunch of blatant lies and distractions (inauguration crowd size nonsense) that are too many to list.

    Congress is:
    - Proposing that the US leave the UN.
    - Trying to pass a law establishing human life as starting at fertilization. Or in other words, making abortion completely illegal by making it legally murder.
    - Trying to speed through Trump's cabinet choices without going through ethics reviews. And then letting Trump's people claim that the Democrats are "holding up" the process.

    Elsewhere Republicans are:
    - In South Dakota, in November, the people of that state voted to make it illegal for politicians to accept more than $100 in donations from lobbyists. Now the legislature is invoking a state of emergency to remove the law. Wow.

You've got so many topics in this one thread that it seems like an odd collection with no purpose other than to complain about things and not have an actual discussion about any of them. You call it a "US Politics Thread" which is just misleading given it should be called a "Things I think are awful that Trump is doing and also a random South Dakota thing". I only clicked on it assuming it was an actual debatable topic or thought provoking question and not just you ranting. If you wanna discuss some of your individual talking points, maybe make a thread for one or two or utilize one of the twelve other Trump threads we've got around here.
