Pretty straightforward news here. Verizon is going to begin offering a new plan where customers will have unlimited data, talk, and text all for $80/month with the first line, and then $45 per additional line after that. This will be the first time since 2012 that Verizon has offered any sort of "unlimited" as well.

Now for the real part here: will this data plan be truly unlimited and free to use up as much data while on 4G/LTE connectivity, or will they throttle after x amount of data had been used? That so far is not explained in the article, but it would not surprise me if Verizon went down that path at this point.

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES. IT'S ABOUT FRICKEN TIME!!! We have Verizon, and we don't really go over our data... but it's still nice that they are doing this though! That's still expensive, if I'm doing the math correctly. Both my mom and I have phones with them, plus we have our iPads. I'd just assume have it on my iPad then my phone.

Good. Paying by the amount of data you use is such an antiquated idea given the amount of technology we have.
This, good to see that American ISP's are finally starting to learn that, unlimited data plans have been standard in Europe for years.

verizon had it before but taken it away because they are extremely greedy but as t-mobile, sprint and at&t have unlimited plans (at&t has the option for unlimited if you get there tv service) is biting into there customer database as customers are leaving them for the competition i still will not go to verizon even if i could afford it
