When you edit a VM, could the option for "disable smilies in text" be put in?

When I write a VM on someone's profile, the option for disabling smilies comes up, yep? All is well. But when I go back to edit them (something I do often, because of typo's etc) the option doesn't come up and, oh no, those ugly smilies appear in my VM, so if I edit a VM with a smiley in, I have to go to edit > go advanced to get the disable smiley option up.

I'm not saying it's a huge treacherous journey to have to click "go advanced" after "edit" to stop the smilies, I just wondered if this minorest of minor inconveniences could be cleared up if possible, as I know that when you edit a post on the forum, it still comes up with the "disable smiley" option without having to use "go advanced". And yep, I bet most people didn't even notice this XD

I actually noticed this as well, and it's a bother to edit VMs that have a smilie, because then the horrible forum ones appear. Usually at that time I just switch the smilie I'm using to something similar, so it doesn't appear again.

It's a small change, and I don't see the harm in doing so myself. People will probably argue that 'it's just a few extra clicks', but eh. There's no downfalls to adding it in.

I'd support this fully, been thinking it for a while actually. The same as when you're replying to a PM, the "disable smilies" option goes there too. I agree that the few extra clicks are not a huge problem, but it'd still be useful to see this happen. ^^ However the control panel's option to automatically disable smilies in your posts has helped a lot for this in my experience.

Thanks, but mine is already set to automatically disable from the control panel, and it doesn't help to disable them when editing VMs :S

I support this as well... sometimes you get too lazy to 'Go Advanced' and make things slower for you just to disable smilies...
