    [PokeCommunity.com] Video In profile!

    Can you link to the YouTube video you are trying to use for your profile?

    And be sure to read the explanation above the YouTube URL spot in your profile.

    Harry Hill's tv burp? If it's a youtube video then can you post the link to it… the video might not be embeddable.

    Do you copy the part right after the /v/, in the code?

    Like '/v/JHAdjha985', or something like that.. all you need is the bolded area, but it only works if the video has the embedded code enabled. If they uploader has it disabled, you'll have to find a different video to use.

    If that made sense.. xD;

    Doesn't work for me either.

    Now I'm sure there are other ways to get the embed link, but here's my simple way of doing it! It's time for...

    Shadow-boi's Spur of the Moment YouTubes Tutorial of Sorts!

    First: Take the link of the video you want to use. It'll have a lot of extra stuff, just copy and paste from your address bar.

    Second: Isolate the video's ID. So remove everything before the "v=" and after the code, starting with a ampersand (&).

    becomes
    v=JPC8W672mXc
    Third: Change the equals sign to a backslash (/).

    v=JPC8W672mXc
    becomes
    v/JPC8W672mXc
    Fourth: Put the result in the YouTube video field in your profile.

    Adding to Shadow's very detailed set of instructions, it gives a condensed version of those right above the box where you paste the video embed code:

    Put your YouTube video-embed URL part here. (Use the URL part from the embed code, not the page URL. EXAMPLE: your embed code URL is <embed src=https://www.youtube.com/v/Dgvd9_Ts1>, you enter v/Dgvd9_Ts1

    It amazes me how many topics we get about this. >>
