So, we've all been hearing about the violence breaking out at Drumpf's rallies, mostly against people protesting Drumpf. And even if you pay attention to the news badly, you'd know that Drumpf has yet to make any kind of statement calling for peace. In fact, one could make the argument that he has encouraged the hostility, to a point. He said he wanted to punch a protester in the face, he said he'd like to "knock the crap out of protesters, and the press have been jeered and have had things thrown at them after Trump makes anti-press statements.

So, how much culpability do you think Trump has in this spate of violence washing over his rallies? Personally. I think it's craven and idiotic for him to have not made a statement calling for peace at his rallies. I think he enjoys watching the people be animals at his gatherings.

I think the violence was uncalled for and I thought Americans should know better then this. But as Donald Trump made no effort to stop the violence then shouldnt this show Americans that he doesn`t want peace? I just cannot understand why people are voting for this man.
Although I did research different news websites and Donald trump blamed Bernie Sanders supporters for the violence and to arrest the supporters. But I thought the USA was the Land of the Free and freedom of speech and all.
Also wouldnt his opponents be having a field day with this? Surely this can be used against him.
( Also I hope I dont get blasted as I am British which has happened before)

That's the biggest thing people should take away from his conduct. If he can't get a grip on his rallies or even make an attempt to disparage the violence, what the hell does that say about his leadership skills?

I won't blast you for being British; people in foreign countries by and large are smarter than Americans anyway.

Good thing you said by and large... I'm Australian and I LOVE Trump!♥

Here is an example of media deception for you, the headline would just be "Trump supporter sucker punches protester."

Two liberals come in with KKK outfits, disgustingly racist, in an attempt to portray Trump supporters as such. Trump supporters and Trump himself are condemning them when an understandably angry black guy punches one. Shouldn't the Bernie/Hillary supporters be charged with like, hate speech or something? After all, Bernie and Hillary supporters would want that for actual KKK members.

Bernie, Hillary and even some Republicans are drinking the cool aid in regards to media consumption. Do you think massive American news and television networks like Fox, MSNBC, CNN and CBS really CARE if an individual is supposedly racist, sexist, bigoted or whatever the flavour of the month is? They're making billions of dollars, why would that matter to them.

Here is why the mainstream media hates Trump:

-He has stated that he will increase the power of libel laws, making it easier to sue the media for defamation. Some might say this interferes with press freedom but did you know that in America it's legal to broadcast outright propaganda anyway.

    - The media makes billions through advertising revenue from companies. Trumps plan to stop illegal immigration and outsourcing of jobs. This will prevent the exploitation of illegal workers and migrant workers getting jobs over Americans, hurting the bottom lines of these companies. Even a media company itself, Disney, is directly implicated in this.

Here are Donald Trumps political positions:

Just be careful with what you hear about Donald Trump on the news, most of it is bull****. They are scared of him not because they think he'll be the next Hitler but because he won't bow down to their interests.

But the mainstream media loves Trump. He gives them magnificent ratings. Of course they're going to portray him as someone to wonder and fear, because that's interesting and that's what helps keep the ratings up. Of course if they portrayed every story as exactly how it happened without spicing it up, people wouldn't be as interested.

I'm a Bernie Sanders supporter, and I wouldn't advocate for violence against KKK members if the members aren't being violent themselves. And I'm taking a broad definition of violence here - if KKK members were rioting, I think it'd be appropriate violence for the police to crack down on them just like everybody else. I believe that racist-nativist elements in society have to be stopped, or at least neutered from being a significant cultural force and I believe the appropriate way of doing that is through speech and the reasonable use of force to keep the peace in a free and democratic society (read: what police would be expected to do on an every day basis).

This will prevent the exploitation of illegal workers and migrant workers getting jobs over Americans, hurting the bottom lines of these companies. This would be true if illegal and migrant workers were not taking jobs away from Americans - if you take away these people, no one will fill those jobs and earn those incomes and that will decrease the revenue of those companies. If illegal and migrant workers were truly taking jobs away from "native" Americans (heh), then it shouldn't affect these companies' bottom lines because Americans would just come in and fill the gap. It's not central to your argument here, but it's something you mention elsewhere and it's not consistent.

I'm probably going to regret taking part in this discussion especially since I'm an outsider (I'm from England), but having watched some of Donald Trumps press releases and hearing some of the things he has said, I honestly don't want him as president. When he says things like
"I will build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me – and I'll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words."
alarm bells immediately start ringing in my ears. It's clear that Trump is obsessed with making America the greatest country in the world and defending it against all "evil". However, usually when people are like that and get into power, they end up defending their country by attacking others (a pre-emptive strike).

History has shown us time and again that whenever a leader of a nation invades another nation, it's because they want to make their nation the greatest. In other words, if Trump becomes president I foresee him first putting up walls and then striking out against any nation he feels is a threat. That scares me, especially when you consider that the UK is pretty close to America.

As for the violence at his rallies, I believe one of the reasons for this is because people follow his lead. He is a role model, and his followers will copy his attitude, even if he doesn't actively encourage the violence. Then the fact that he hasn't made an attempt to stop it only encourages it more.

What? I'm not talking about the net amount of employees but rather the amount you have to pay them. Illegal immigrants who are willing to work for less drive down the cost of wages. It costs less to make a car in china and Mexicans don't care being paid $2 an hour, when they send it home it's still worth more than anything they could make in Mexico! This disparity from using developing nations labourers to sell first world products prices allows for maximum profit margins and pushes American wages lower to remain competitive. I'm not for complete protectionism, just removing those who are harmful to the economy. America still has the largest individual consumer base in the world, it wouldn't kill these companies to invest more production to the LEGAL citizens who are buying and create employment for them.

P.S I'm not an economist but if anyone is feel free to correct me.

It's a give and take. According to The Economist,

"the University of California, Los Angeles, and Columbia University calculated that median income earners in America would lose 29% of their purchasing power if America was closed to trade, but that the poorest would forfeit as much as 62%, because they spend proportionately more on goods that are traded."

Why is that so? Because importing cheaper products... allows you to buy cheaper products! It's not only that (some) wages fall, it's that many prices fall as well... and there are way more people taking advantage of having cheaper stuff in shops than the ones who suffer from the salaries going down. In other words, if the US closed its border, dozens of millions of people would lose over half of their purchasing power almost immediately, in return for a couple million getting a 10-20% increase in their salaries (which would barely offset the price increases they'll suffer as well).

The problem is that the benefits are thinly spread accross millions of people who don't even notice them while the damages are very concentrated in a very vocal group of the population who are very aware of their personal problems. The solution is not going back and screwing up those dozens of millions, but rather compensaiting those workers enough.

One the topic of Trump violence though, I can't help but posting this glorious Private Eye article.

I honestly believe if this man becomes president, I can kiss my freedom goodbye. Ever watch those movies where big corporations enslave the world? Donald Trump.

Hell, he'd probably cause World War 3 first actually, with that short temper and inflated ego. I'll bet at his next rally he'll say something about how he would have had the USS Donald Cook shoot down those SU-24S that were doing mock gunruns on the ship. Yes Donald, let's shoot down jets in INTERNATIONAL WATERS, while only 70 nautical miles from a Russian base. Genius idea. What could go wrong.

And don't get me started on what he's said about the world's nuclear weapons.
