    Well, the VMA's just ended about 20 minutes ago...

    Did anyone besides me watch it? XD
    I think it was kinda sucky this year- way too much rap and hip hop if you ask me.

    Yet Green Day took home 7 awards out of 8 nominations- more than anyone took home tonight! I'm really proud of them...and their video. Boulevard of Broken Dreams deserved a LOT, and MTV apparently saw that XD

    So what are your thoughts? XD
    Oh and I think that Beavis and Butthead thing was downright stupid...XD

    Green Day is decent, too overrated for me though =/

    I have yet to watch it, I'll probably watch the re-runs in the following week(s).
     
    They haven't showed it here yet. Knowing Channel Ten, they'll show it next weekend or the weekend after or something. I'm out of videotapes I think. ;___; I'll have to find one; they show it late at night, and I don't stay up.
     
    I watched it also. And it made me mad how completely one-sided it was. There were alot more videos that were better then Green Day's for video of the year, but what can you o =\
     
    Bobby- No, you're saying that the SONGS in the video were better. I'm pretty sure that's what people are thinking- Boulevard is an overplayed song, why did it win?

    But see, this is the VIDEO music awards...not the MUSIC awards...it's focusing on the video itself. I'm sure they consider the song as well but this is mainly focusing on how well the video was, and that video was amazing. The boys worked really hard on it, and Sam Bayer, the director made it really worth it so...=/ Feel free to disagree but I'm sure a lot of Green Day fans agree...
     
    i'm okay with green day winning the video awards but it was one sided with green day but for the hip hop and rap i thought Eminem should win because he has alot of great videos that are really funny

    Anyways I think they need to quit with the Rap...there was WAY too much rap this year...
     
    well green days descent but its not that great cmon...I really wish dark new day was a new artist nominee they have real skill. They released theyre 1st album 12 yr silence and they already have a single~brother u shud check it out, i mean some real skill..not saying green days bad but they dont deserve all those awards! geez. yah, and in my opinion iI wish MTV didnt only play maybe 10% rock 90% rap it really wrecks my nerves! I remember when it was grunge/punk I was like 10 think oh I wish It was the 90s :(

    Well if you think Green Day didn't deserve em that's your opinion, I'm not gonna fault ya...I'm surprised U2 didn't win anything though o.o
     
    green day is cool i like their song american idiot but wake me up when september ends has way too much talking in it but it was kinda sad

    Yeah, Green Day's a little bit too overrated. I mean, yeah I love their music... but when I hear Boulevard or Holiday playing 300 times a day in my radio, I just get sick and tired of it. And this is a person who listens to Nirvana and U2 5000 times a day.

    Otherwise, the award show is just too unbalanced. I've got nothing against hip-hop and all. I respect the genre and the culture. But it's a little bit tad too much, no?

    Anyways, The Killers and Coldplay performance sounded like they were tired from touring (Killers touring with U2 and Coldplay touring on their own).

    Besides, I wasn't fully interested anyway. Most of the bands/singers I actually liked (U2, Foo Fighters, Beck, The Killers, Gorillaz) got nominated probably once or twice(what's stupid is that they decided to put them in one category)... Only two won something. (The Killers, Gorillaz)

    Wake Me Up When September Ends - Good Song
    The Video - Worst Green Day Video Ever

    Why? Too much dialogue. Too much unecessary dialogue. In the beginning, in the middle, and the video just doesn't shine Green Day. It sounds like some hippie band's video. I'm so disappointed of Samuel Bayer. What started out as one of the greatest video (American Idiot) started going downhill to something like Wake Me Up When September Ends.

    What I found funny is that in Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Billie Joe is singing "I walk alone, I walk alone".... and he's got Mike and Tre walking along with him XD
     
    Oh...yea a lot of people are like that XD

    Billie explained in an interview that you can be walking with all your friends and still feel alone...like your totally isolated and different...I hope that clears that up for you o_o

    Que? What Beavis And Butt-Head thing? (I only saw GD win Video Of The Year or something and something else)

    Anyways, Green Day is deffinately over rated. They are really sucky, right now. They were much much better back in the day. Also, the BOBD video wasnt even that good. everytime it came on, I would change the channel cause it would annoy me so much.

    Rap sucks right now, also. Everywhere you go, there's rap. Now, it's all pimpin' and bling and **** like that XD Mike Jones and Paul Wall are the worst of them all. All they have is fronts. They can barely even talk.
     
    How the hell did Kelly Clarkson beat Mariah Carey and Gwen Stefani!? How did Green Day win so many awards? I like Green Day, but they're really overrated.
