/me pokes every pro out there.

I'm not that great at making decks so I'm asking all you pros out there on how to fix this deck. I haven't actually tested this deck since I don't have any of my cards right now.

    Main Deck
    Monster (20)
    1x Cyber Dragon
    3x Heavy Mech Support Platform
    1x Magician of Faith
    1x Mask of Darkness
    1x Sangan
    2x V-Tiger Jet
    3x W-Wing Catapult
    2x X-Head Cannon
    3x Y-Dragon Head
    3x Z-Metal Tank

    Spell (11)
    2x Frontline Base
    1x Last Will
    1x Machine Duplication
    1x Magical Mallet
    1x Mist Body
1x My Body as a Shield
    1x Mystical Space Typhoon
    1x Premature Burial
1x Shooting Star Bow - Ceal
    1x Swords of Revealing Light

    Trap (10)
    1x Call of the Haunted
    1x Compulsory Evacuation device
    1x Cyber Summon Blaster
    1x Divine Wrath
    1x Formation Union
    1x Magic Jammer
1x Return from the Different Dimension
    1x Roll Out!
    1x Solemn Wishes
    1x Trap Jammer

    Fusion Deck (4)
    2x VW-Tiger Catapult
    1x XYZ-Dragon Cannon
    1x VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon

I'm currently trying to get a Chimeratech Overdragon.

    Eeep.

Well now, I'm not an expert on YGO or anything and as soon as one of the real knowers come around they'll probably point out the flaws here but if you're planning to go fishing for the Ys and Zs and whatnot then you are missing the easiest way to do it: Shining Angel. Unless I'm mistaken, the ability to fish out any Light monster with an Atk of 1500 or below practically means that you get to search for any part of the set except X-head Cannon and not only that, but you also get it straight onto your field where you need it to be. To further improve on your searching capability, you should also throw in a copy of Graceful Charity if you've got one. That card fits snuggly into basically any deck. ^-^ You've also got too many traps here. With one fourth of your deck consisting of them you're liable to run into a lot of dead draw situations with it if your opponent gets Jinzo or Royal Decree out on the field. Cyber summon blaster is just plain redundant. That 300 extra damage is hardly useful if your strategy is to plunk down the big fusion monsters on the field. Similarly, I can't find any justification for dragging in the Shooting Star Bow here seeing as how XYZ & co can clear out pretty much anything you want from the field. Seeing as how all of the XYZ and WV fusions (Except for XYZWV itself) have effect that rely on discarding, it's kind of counter-productive to carry around a card that leaves you with less (if different) cards in your hand than what you started out with, so Magical Mallet looks kind of like a waste here.

Also, Trap Jammer and Magic Jammer are kind of meh. Again, many of the fusions can handle face-downs before you trigger them, and the discard of the Magic Jammer hurts a bit. I think Magic Drain would be a better option there. I'm also going to suggest dropping one each of Z-metal Tank and Y-dragon Head. As it is, you've got so many of those small union monsters in your deck that you're liable to end up with a seriously cluttered starting hand. You should have enough searching and graveyard retrieval to fetch them without maxing out, really. Compulsory Evacuation Device also strikes me as a bit of a random choice in cards, something to actually keep your union monsters out of harm's way before you fuse them like Negate Attack or Treathening Roar might be better suited for that slot (As you can hardly expect to always draw into Frontline Base every time). Also, My Body as a Shield seems a wee bit expensive for a deck already running Solemn Wishes and Return From the Different Dimension with only Solemn Wishes for healing. I'd suggest dropping it, since it's quite liable to end up as a dead draw.

Now to patch up that gaping hole it would leave, I'd like to start by suggesting a full three copies of Shining Angel. Like I said, there really aren't many cards that can sort out the fetching of those parts better. Also, most of the creatures in this deck have an Atk below 1600, which means that Hydrogeddon can really lunge at your throat before you even yet started, especially since Swords of Revealing Light pretty much constitutes the whole of your attack blocking potential. To prevent that, it might not be a bad idea to throw in another Cyber Dragon for field control purposes. Since you're going to fuse most of your monsters anyway, I'd also suggest throwing in a copy of Limiter Removal to exploit for a three or four monster rush (Or five if you played return) at a suitable moment. It's also good if you're facing a strong monster and haven't drawn into anything useful to counter it with. Now to make up for the spell and trap countering cards I removed, I think two copies of Cyber Phoenix should do quite nicely, as their special ability should help to keep pesky little cards like Enemy Controller, Sakuretsu Armor and Snatch Steal away from your big monsters. They also have enough Defense to block any Hydrogeddons from overruning you, if need be. Finally, a bit of extra drawing ability never hurts, so I'd say that Morphing Jar and Pot of Avarice (If you can get them) would be very nice cards to add, although extra copies of Return From the Different Dimension, Frontline Base, or Roll Up! can all be used as substitutes. Book of Moon is also nice, both to exploit your flip monsters and to counter stuff like Cyber Dragon or the monarchs.

    So basically, I'd suggest...

    -1 Magical Mallet
-1 Shooting Star Bow - Ceal
    -1 Trap Jammer-1 Magic Jammer
    -1 Cyber Summon Blaster
    -1 Compulsory Evacuation Device
    -1 Mask of Darkness
-1 My Body as a Shield
    -1 Y-Dragon Head
    -1 Z-Metal Tank
    -1 W-Wing Catapult

    + 3 Shining Angel
    + 1 Graceful Charity
    + 1 Limiter Removal
    + 1 Book of Moon
    + 1 Cyber Dragon
    + 2 Cyber Phoenix
    + 1 Morphing Jar/Frontline Base
+ 1 Pot of Avarice/Return From the Different Dimension/Roll Up!

Well, hope that helped, and hope that some of the more well-versed forumites will come around and do a better job. ^^ Also, make sure to add in any of XY, XZ, ZY & co if you get your hands on them, as you can't always expect to get all three of the XYZs out in one go. It's not like taking them along hurts, anyway, since they're all in your fusion deck.

Follow Alter's advice, as they'll be a very good start.

For a full VWXYZ, you just *need* to have the 3x Roll Out. It protects your monsters if you equip heavy mech support platform, and in this case it's almost call of the haunted with half of your lineup being union. To prevent cluttering of hand, drop Call of the Haunted so you're not stuck with too many revival.

Gah in a rush to go... I'll edit this later.

Thanks for the great advice. Luckily, I'm going to get the Machine structure deck when it comes out which is going to have many of the cards that you've suggested. :)

Also, the basic idea of Shooting Star Bow - Ceal is to lower one of my W, Y or Z monsters so they'd be compatible with Machine Duplication which is why I have three of each. :\

As with the Shining Angel, -_-... I'm never going to find that card... No one sells DB1 anymore. I'm gonna see if the shop that sells single cards nearby has some.

A specific combo better win games if the involved cards are dead cards in hand... Ceal is useless and doesn't it also cost a discard... Machine Duplication is equally dead unless the combo succeeds...

    Now that I have time...
    Monsters (21)
    3x Cyber Dragon
    3x Heavy Mech Support Platform
    1x Magician of Faith
    1x Sangan
    2x V-Tiger Jet
    2x W-Wing Catapult
    2x X-Head Cannon
    2x Y-Dragon Head
    2x Z-Metal Tank
    3x Shining Angel

    Spells (12)
    1x Last Will
    1x Graceful Charity
    1x Mystical Space Typhoon
    1x Heavy Storm
    1x Premature Burial
    1x Limiter Removal
    2x Enemy Controller
    2x Smashing Ground
    1x Nobleman of Crossout
1x Overload Fusion/1x Luminous Spark (Overload obviously preferred)

    Trap (7)
    1x Mirror Force
    1x Ring of Destruction
    1x Torrential Tribute
    3x Roll Out!
1x Return from the Different Dimension

Never been a fan of VW part of the series though... really weak, and clogs the deck horribly with the extra 4 (bad) cards. There's just no room to add in the usual Cyber Phoenix for machines and so on... Personally, I would've stuck to just XYZ alone.

No, Ceal doesn't cost a discard and Machine Duplication still has the job of duplicating Heavy Mech Support Platform if Ceal isn't there. :\

    That's a lot of cards I don't have. Eeep.

    Must have mixed up Baou with Ceal... ><;

Why the heck will you ever want to duplicate Heavy Mech Support Platform? Really, it's a desperation move on my part to even include it (and also, useless yet thematic support.) It's just far too difficult to protect the alphabet soup machines on the field long enough, so you just have to put the Support Platform to help them stay longer. Plus, it's more targets for Roll Out!

Cyber Dragon is not more easily obtainable via the Tin, which really helps to buy 3 of (as the packs inside them are not too shabby either.) Shining Angel shouldn't be hard to obtain from card stores, buying them at singles at an acceptable price for their power. Plus, you really should try to get 3 of each elemental searchers as a very basic. They allow you to be very flexible with making a lot of decks.

You already got Last Will according to your post. Almost all of the spell cards are easily obtainable through structure packs including the upcoming Machine deck for the enemy controllers. The only tough one is Overload Fusion, which I provided an alternative for. If Luminous Spark and/or Smashing Ground are not accessible either, then let My Body as a Shield/Fissure take over those slots.

Traps are probably the toughest to obtain, but all of them besides Roll Out are the current day staples anyway... I believe Torrential Tribute is in an older structure pack. Ring of Destruction and Mirror Force are indeed on the expensive side... Replace them with Sakuretsu Armor or Bottomless Traphole if necessary. I don't quite remember if there are more copies of Roll Out in the Machine structure deck, but either way since they aren't the hottest cards ever, it shouldn't be too hard to pick up those from the card store.

Really, it's much tougher and expensive to get the Fusion pieces in comparison to the spell/trap/non-fusion monster department o.O; Alphabet soup machine fusions are all super expensive, even the completely useless VW fusion...

    Probably.

    I don't know. >_<

Since they're common, the place where they sell single cards nearby sells them for 50c each.

Yes I do have Last Will. I don't see how Overload Fusion would be useful since it only fuses monsters for a DARK monster. I have Luminous Spark. I do have two unopened POTDs which I will open once I get a hold of and I'm hoping for a Future Fusion or a Chimeratech Overdragon.

I'll add Torrential Tribute and Sakretsu Armor (I also have Widespread Ruin, better or worse?) but I have not Bottomless Traphole. I'm pretty sure I got a few copies of Roll Out! while I was still obsessed with collecting the E-Heros from EEN.

Only the XY, YZ and ZX are hard to get since they haven't reprinted them. The VW and XYZ are in DP2.

I would use a Royal Decree trap lineup but you need Roll Out. >_<

If it's not for Roll Out, I'll definitely use double decree lineup o_O; It's imho, the safest and one of the only ways to handle Gadget for these lower tier decks. At least you seal off the traps so you only got Rush Recklessly against you in your battle phase...
