[Other] Walking/Pokedex

I really hate to ask, but i've tried looking around and i've tried trying to figure it out for myself for a few a week or so before stopping and trying again a few months later. i'm having the hardest time getting professor oak to take me to a new position on the map, i was able to follow all the way over to the new location of his laboratory, but then he just loops and does the path again while i run off into the trees. Also, i'm trying to figure out how to get him to give me the national dex instead of the pokedex.

i'm pretty sure this is the only thing i need help with because i know how to do almost every thing else (i'm pretty sure). Yes i'm a noob and yes i require some assistance. trying to get him to walk off in the follow direction

I'm using advancemap and XSE script editor on fire red. I should mention that i was trying to re-edit the other script, should i delete it and just start a new one?
