~WarriorCats: Tigerstar Resurrected~

Sleetstorm stalked the ball of fur. He could hear its tiny heart pulsing warm blood. He licked his lips as he flattened his quiet pads and shook his haunches in the air. His tail perked while his gaze narrowed down on the shuffling of grass. Then, a strong breeze and the mouse perked up its nose, sniffing. It didn't notice him, Sleetstorm was relieved. The mouse continued to nibble at its food, a little nut. Just as the mouse gulped down the last of its meal, the gray cat lunged forward and plunged his fangs into the mouse's neck. A cuff on its head, and the rodent was out.

He brought it back to a tree on the moor and pawed off the soil around it. It was one of his commonly-used place for storing fresh-kill. He placed the mouse in the hole, putting it side by side with 2 voles he hunted earlier. They came from the Thunderclan border and he knew he was not supposed to hunt near there, but well, who cares? There was enough time for him to reach his individual quota; he always set goals for himself. Something caught the hunter's attention-a rabbit. It was grazing in the middle of the large meadow. The wind picked up and Sleetstorm was after it in a flash. He bounded across the moor and he closer and closer to the escaping rabbit with each stride. Then, he leaped at the rabbit, claws unsheathed. It struggled under his weight and Sleetstorm bit it on the scruff and shook it limp. He went back to the tree and buried it together with the others.

An hour later, he was bringing the whole lot back to the Clan. His score: 3 mice, 2 rabbits, 3 hares and a thrush. He strolled into the camp and placed everything on the fresh-kill pile. He brought a couple of mice and shrews to the elders' den before hauling a hare for himself. He found a spot and settled down for his meal.

AngelDust was sitting just inside the entrance to the Nursery. If one actually paid attention, they would see that she spent much of her time watching the kits so their mothers could go out and walk or even hunt a bit. She herself couldn't have kits, so she spent as much time as she could with the little puff balls. She got up and walked to the fresh-kill pile. She pulled out a rabbit and picked it up in her mouth. She walked over to a shady spot under a tree that was only a few bounds away from the Nursery. She settled down and ate her meal. After that, she took care of the carcas and groomed her fur. She wondered when ShiningStar would get back. The WindClan leader had taken one of the apprentices, SilverPaw, out for some training. He would be a warrior soon. AngelDust knew SilverPaw was blind. It didn't make a bit of difference to him, and it didn't bother her either. He was a hard worker, always doing his very best during training. His senses were better than any other cat she knew of. He never ran into trees and always seemed to know who was coming and where they were. It was like he could see. She admired his work ethics. He wasn't letting his blindness hinder him. He would make a wonderful warrior. AngelDust un-sheathed her claws and cleaned them off. She then sharpened them on the bark of the tree she was sitting under.

Padding back to camp, ShiningStar noticed an unfamiliar question presented to him. He turned to face Silverpaw, his apprentice.
"No one hates you, Silverpaw. The other cats are just suspicious of you, because of the stories the elders tell of you falling out of the sky, from StarClan. If you want to make yourself more accepted, go and spend more time helping the elders and warriors," He entered the camp, and noticed Sleetstorm sitting across the den. "Ah, there's Sleetstorm. Excuse me now, Silverpaw." ShingStar walked across over to Sleetstom, picking up a vole from the fresh-kill pile as he went. He settled himself next to Sleetstorm and began to eat. After a while, he spoke.
"I hope you don't mind, but I'd like you to go on the patrol for tomorrow morning, and I'd like you to take Silverpaw with you. I would go myself, but something demands my attention."

AngelDust looked up as ShiningStar returned. She groomed herself again, then got up and walked over to ShiningStar. She cleared her throat quietly. "Do you want me to go out hunting or on border patrol tonight, ShiningStar?", She asked in a soft mew. She had basically been viewed as an outsider, even though ShiningStar accepted her as a warrior. They gave her looks and glares when ever she wanted to go out and help hunt or help patrol the border. They didn't trust her very much, if at all. Just because she wasn't born into the clan didn't mean that she'd defend the clan and every cat from the eldest cat to the youngest kit, and every cat in between, any less than a clan cat would.She was tired of being viewed as an outsider. She sat down, politely waiting for ShiningStar to respond.

ShiningStar look up from his meal he had returned to, seeing AngelDust in front of him. He had been especially fond of her since she joined as an outsider. He knew the rest of the clan disagreed with his choice to allow her to become a warrior, but he didn't mind facing a few accusations.
"Not tonight, AngelDust, however I would like you to join Sleetstorm tomorrow morning. I would like you to watch over my apprentice, Silverpaw. And when you return, I have another matter I would like to talk to you about, if you don't mind." He got up and touched the tip of his tail to AngelDust's head as he walked away.
He entered his den and settled himself on his bed. He would need his sleep.

Silverpaw held in his tears.

People hate me because of a rumor...?

He thought about it. Then his eyes winded. He went into the Elder's den, where his crazy mother was sitting in the corner. She was looking wildly at nothing. Silverpaw sat before her, still sad.

"Um, mother...?"

"Y-yes, Silverpaw?"

"Are you really my mother...? And who's my father...?"

She twitched and glared at him.

"What are you talking about!? You have no father!! I found you in the la--"

She was instantly silenced by harsh glares from every Elder.

For Silver, shock was an understatement.

W-wait... So I really did fall from the sky...?

The world felt like it was spinning around him, he was dizzy. This only made him feel worse. He whimpered a bit and curled up on a stumps, shivering, listening to the wind whistle in the grass, shaking at the cold breeze of the night.

I have no family... What am I...?

ShiningStar woke up as he heard a comotion coming from the Elder's den. He got up, stretched and padded round the corner. When he entered, he saw Silverpaw almost in hysterics, and shaking. ShiningStar sat down beside the small cat and wrapped his tail around him. He asked quietly,
"What happened?" One of the Elders, an old brown speckled tom called Spottedclaw replied,
"He came in and asked his mother who his father was, right off the bat! She snapped at him and started to tell him that but we shushed her. It was enough though."
ShiningStar whispered in Silverpaw's ear,
"Come on, come with me." He started to guide Silverpaw out of the Elder's den and towards his own. He stopped at the entrance to the den when he realised Silverpaw wasn't following. He waited, watching to see if he'd move.

AngelDust nodded her head and stood up. She went on about her daily things, cleaning the Elders den and the Nursery. Normally a job for apprentices, AngelDust preformed these tasks because there was nothing else for her to do. After that she sat under the tree and stared up at the stars. She always was fascinated by them. Every night she'd try and count them, and after about an hour she'd lose count and fall asleep under the tree. This night was no different. She was awakened by the sounds of a cat crying. *probably just one of the kits*, She thought. She was on her feet and padded silently into the Nursery. *Hmmm. They're all sound asleep. I'll go check the Elders den. Maybe one of them had a bad dream*, she thought to herself. She padded silently through the camp, the moonlight glittering off of her white, lilac-tipped coat. She stopped when she saw SilverPaw shaking, and ShiningStar sitting beside him. SpottedClaw was also there. "Is everything all right in here?", She mewed, careful not to disturb any cat.

Silver was far too distracted to notice that the others were talking. He felt like he wanted to cry, but couldn't. He had so many questions, but he felt mute. This made him angry. His ears folded back and his fur rose. His eyes shut and he shouted.

"What am I!? Who am I!? When is anything ever going to MAKE SENSE!!??"

With that, he angrily stormed off into the woods. The moorland was nice, but he loved the forest, the scents were better, the sounds nicer, he frowned.

No. I need answers...

Silver turned and began down the path to the Moonpool.

AngelDust was stunned into silence by SilverPaw running off. She looked out at the moor, worried for the silver-furred apprentice. She laid her ears back a little, unsure of weather she should go after him or not. She looked at ShiningStar. "Would some cat like to explain to me just what is going on?", she whispered. Her fluffy white tail was lashing back and forth.

Silverpaw made his way down the long and winding trail up to the Moonpool. He lie before it and touched the water with his nose. It was icy, and made his silver-white pelt rise a bit. He drifted off instantly.

~~~
He awoke in a calm and quiet forest. The sounds of cats hustled in the distance and one approached. He took a defensive stance and snarled at it.
"What do you want!?"
The ominous cat smelled familiar, but he didn't know who it was. The voice spoke, much like his voice. It was edged with sarcasm.
"You have my temper..."
Silverpaw sensed the cat's tail twitch with delight.
"I don't care!! I know you're a Starclan cat, who are you!?"
The cat seemed happy and nuzzled into Silverpaw, which really threw him off-guard.
"What do you think you'r--"
"Hey, hey. Is that any way to talk to your father?"
Silverpaw was too stunned to reply.
"Hello, my son. I am your father, Jayfeather."
Silverpaw realized his mouth was gaping, and replied.
"T-that's impossible!! You can't be, you died many many--"
Jayfeather's tail over his mouth silenced him.
"Look, Silverpaw."
He seemed a little cheery about his blindness joke.
"Hey, don't make fun of me for being bli--"
Jayfeather pawed him over affectionately.
"I wasn't, I am blind too."
Silverpaw was being interrupted much more than he wanted. He felt his father's scent fill his nose, pleasantly familiar. He sighed and nuzzled him.
"So... So why did you send me back down into Windclan?"
"You will find out soon enough, son. Make me proud. I'll be watching."
Another joke.
~~~

Silver woke up by the Moonpool. He was still disoriented, so he couldn't tell if anyone had come and found him.

Sleetstorm eyed his leader and Shiningstar settled next to him with a vole. His leader then spoke after a while. "I hope you don't mind, but I'd like you to go on the patrol for tomorrow morning, and I'd like you to take Silverpaw with you. I would go myself, but something demands my attention."

The warrior answered with a flick of his ear to show acknowledgement. Then he spotted AngelDust heading towards them. He didn't catch what she said to Shiningstar as Sleetstorm was chewing on his rabbit, but the leader replied,
"Not tonight, AngelDust, however I would like you to join Sleetstorm tomorrow morning. I would like you to watch over my apprentice, Silverpaw. And when you return, I have another matter I would like to talk to you about, if you don't mind."

Then a ruckus could be heard from the Elders' den and AngelDust and Shiningstar was off in a flash. Sleetstorm ingested the last of his food and just then, Silverpaw was seen scampering out of the Clan. The blind apprentice leaped off away and soon, became a vanishing spot on the moors. Amused, the gray tom hounded after the young cat like it was prey. A strong scent indicated that Silverpaw was heading to Moonpool. "What's he doing there?" Muttered the tomcat as he sauntered up to the Moonpool.

From afar, Sleetstorm observed the sleeping apprentice. After a few moments, Silverpaw woke up and Sleetstorm hurriedly prowled into the undergrowth, his gray fur camouflaged against a rock.

AngelDust took off shortly after SleetStorm did. She followed them both, her mothering instincts telling her to go after them. *The Moon pool? Why in the name of StarClan is he here?*, she thought. It felt good to run flat-out as fast as she could. She loved it. She saw SilverPaw wake up, a bit disoriented. She walked calmly up the path until she was next to the silver-furred cat. She sat down, her long, fluffy white tail curling around her dainty paws. She made no effort to speak. She simply was watching the water. Water fascinated her as well. Not enough that she'd become a RiverClan cat. She was deep in thought, her lilac eyes closed so she was squinting, something she did when she was in deep thought.

Silverpaw was still in a bit of shock.

Jayfeather is my father...? So I really did fall from the sky...

He smiled a bit noticing Stardust beside him. He always saw her as a mother figure, but never said anything about it. He sighed and shouted at the bushes, directly at Sleetstorm.

"Hey!! Why are you trying to hide from me, Sleetstorm? I'm blind, remember!? What use is hiding in a bush going to do, trying to spy on me?"

Silverpaw shook his head in a mocking gesture.

"Besides, your tail was sticking out."

Silverpaw smirked. Even blind, he somehow knew that Sleetstorm had neglected hiding his tail.

"For Starclan's sake, a kit could catch you hiding there!"

Silverpaw felt he had teased enough, shooting Sleetstorm a warning glare as he slowly padded back towards camp.

"Do not spy on me. I could easily report it to Shiningstar, but I won't, just this time."

He was a bit irritated, but he pushed it aside. He found the stump he always rested on and sat there, listening to the sounds of the camp, silently trying to go over what he had learned about himself, and about his father.

SilverPaw was known for both his speed and his attitude. Although SleetStorm DID forget to hide his tail. She shook her head, whiskers twitching in amusement. "Well, sit out here as long as you'd like SleetStorm", she mewed. She got up and stretched. She turned and walked down the path. She walked the whole way back to camp, not once picking up her pace. Suddenly she saw a rabbit. She immidietly dropped to the ground, stalking the rabbit. When she was close enough she sprang at the rabbit, catching it and shaking it until it was dead. *Not bad for an outsider*, she thought to herself. She picked it up in her mouth and took it back to the camp. It was a plump rabbit, plenty of meat on it. She put it on the fresh-kill pile. She looked around for SilverPaw, and saw him laying on a tree stump. Not much slipped by her, so she knew the young cat had a lot on his mind. She walked over and sat down. She looked up at the sky, and once again, tried counting the stars. After about 20 minutes she swiped the ground angerly. "Dang it, counted the same one twice.", she said to herself. She tried again, intent on knowing how many stars were in the night sky.

"Hey!! Why are you trying to hide from me, Sleetstorm? I'm blind, remember!? What use is hiding in a bush going to do, trying to spy on me?" Silverpaw shook his head in a mocking gesture. "Besides, your tail was sticking out."

"I wasn't spying on you. I was wondering where you went, rushing out of camp like a shrieking finch." The gray warrior answered coldly.

The blind bratty apprentice smirked.
"For Starclan's sake, a kit could catch you hiding there!" If you're just gonna go on about hiding like a smart aleck, I'll make sure you taste your own liver, stupid furball. The gray tom's fur started to bristle as he shot a glance at AngeulDust sitting next to Silverpaw.

Silverpaw shot Sleetstorm a warning glare(if a blind cat could) as he slowly padded back towards camp.
"Do not spy on me. I could easily report it to Shiningstar, but I won't, just this time."

"Believe what you may, you're not worth spying anyway. Ugh, besides I dread going with you on tomorrow's patrol. See that you don't get into trouble yourself. You may have sharp senses, but what's the use of them if you're immature?" Sleetstorm snorted and went off towards camp in a flash, not bothering about that mousebrain. Once he reached the entrance of WindClan, he made a detour to head off to the lake. He needed time away from the bustle of the Clan and certain Clanmates. He didn't mind AngelDust not Clan-born as she was sweet and polite but that little mudhead apprentice was ticking his nerves off like a plague of fleas. He strolled along the banks of the lake, inhaling in the calming scent of water and the soothing waves.

Snowpelt woke up after hearing some noises from the distant bushes. He saw a white she-cat appear from it and walk over to the blind apprentice. She just lay there and looked up. 'Counting stars again' - he thought. Then he went outside the camp. "I'm going out for some walk." - he said to the cat who was guarding the camp. Snowpelt walked for a while in the moors until he reached the lake. He remembered that Twolegs used to spend their time on the lake on some kind of monsters. Snowpelt could remember how some slept on strange nests on the border with Thunderclan. Then he thought about the rival clan. He was shocked when he heard Firestar's death. Now, the new leader, Darkstar, started to extend his clan's territory. There was a fight between two patrols he remembered. He was there, fighting with a gray she-cat. But his clanmates were soon outnumbered and forced to retreat. Snowpelt was able to retreat with his hindleg broken, a scratch on his face and a scar on his back. It was a miracle when he fully recovered the next day. But a she-cat he loved didn't return alive.

Yellowfur was the first friendly cat Snowpelt met. He loved her and always spent time with her beside the lake where he was standing now. They had a litter of 2 kits, but one died because of whitecough. The remaining kit, Sunkit, was almost 6 moons. It was time for her to become an apprentice, but with her mother watching her with Starclan. 'Oh, Yellowfur... I miss you...' Snowpelt was standing there, longing to hear his mate's gentle voice and touch her nice fur. He lay down, trying to fall asleep. "You will pay for her, Thunderclan..." - he muttered.

Silverpaw was completely distant, but he snapped back into focus. He was tired. But the other apprentices hate him for his origin. He shrugged and sighed.

I guess sleeping on the stump again won't hurt...

He was sorely wrong. He slept there, shaking violently from the cold air in his slumber. He hasn't slept in the apprentice den since - well, never. They all picked on him and pretty much secluded him from the group. He might as well have ended up a loner because of it. Though he did have a few friends. For the most part, Shiningstar, who seemed like his father, and Stardust, who acted as his mother. He pondered the idea of those two together. They would actually fit...

He frowned even more in his sleep. He thought about how he did not have a mate, which tore him apart.

No cat likes me... Let alone wants me for a mate... I should have been a medicine cat...

He felt a few tears roll down his muzzle.

Why does everyone hate me...?

AngelDust had looked at SilverPaw to make sure he was ok. She was protective of him, like a mother would be. She saw a few tears roll down his muzzle. She instantly felt a pang of sadness. She hated it when any of the young cats cried. SilverPaw especially. He'd been through so much already in his young life. She flicked her tail over his back, in a reassuring, comforting gesture. She jumped up onto the stump neatly. She saw that he was shivering from the cold night air. She laid down next to him, pressing up against him so her fluffy fur could keep him warm. She knew why he slept outside, instead of in the apprentices den. He was picked on and teased unmercifully. The only times it stopped was when she, or another warrior or elder, even ShiningStar, reprimanded them for being so cruel. He belonged in the clan more than she did. She was never teased or picked on by the other warriors, and slept in the Warriors den most nights. She was simply glared at and occasionally hissed at. *Poor little one. He shouldn't be driven from the apprentices den. First thing in the morning I'm going to talk to ShiningStar, and maybe box quite a few ears...I wonder what ShiningStar needs to talk to me about? I haven't done anything wrong....have I?*, She thought. She eventually fell asleep. It was a light sleep, the sleep of a warrior, ready to fight and defend at a moment's notice. She hadn't slept a deep sleep in a very, very long time. Since she became a warrior.

(AngelDust thinks of SilverPaw as a son to her. Of course, almost all the young cats are like her kits, because she's more like a mother. She boxes ears if needed, helps teach the young ones the hunters crouch and occasionally some fighting and defense moves, just like a mom. lol. She has no plans of giving up on being a warrior, so for now, she's just everyone's mom and a loyal warrior.)

Silverpaw woke up when he realized he was suddenly much warmer. He smelled the scent of Angeldust beside him, keepking him warm. She was always there to comfort him. She wasn't like all of the others. She was nice to him.

"Thank you..."

He mumbled, almost silent, as he curled up and nuzzled into her fur. Honestly, he found this better than sleeping in any den. She cared for him, and he enjoyed when she tended to him like this. It made him feel like... Like someone really cares. He fell asleep there, and rested until morning. He awoke early, where the sunrise had almost began, and the air was tinged with spring morning air. He layed there still, happy to have Angeldust by him.
