Name: Oakclaw
Gender: Male
Position: Deputy
Age: 15 moons
Clan: Riverclan
Ability: Fighting, Swimming
Dis-ability: Negotiating, Sight (his eyes sometimes fail him)
Personality: Have you heard of Tigerclaw, a very ambitious tabby warrior with huge goals, which brought his downfall to him eventually? If you did, then imagine what would he do during a battle: run or fight? If he chooses to fight, then will he battle with or without breaking the warrior code? I'm pretty sure you already know the answer, which is "Yes, he's gonna break the warrior code." You can think that Oakclaw is the same as good old Tigerclaw, dear clanmate, but I'm giving you a rabbit that Oakclaw has many similarities and differences with Tigerclaw.
About similarities. First of all, Oakclaw is a determined cat, focusing on one and only one single goal. He doesn't have a life goal yet, unlike Tigerclaw, but he still usually concentrates only on one task and ignores everything else. Second, Oakclaw can be a bit fierce during a battle. His stormy nature and his battle-ready claws turn him into a vicious enemy, who can give you eternal scars of pain. But at the same time, he doesn't kill cats. He only inflicts huge wounds, but isn't interested in sending the cat into the other world. Third, he was thirsty of power. He wanted to become a clan leader when he was a kit, but later he changed his mind. The source of Oakclaw's change of plans is unknown to the present, but one thing is certain – he's satisfied as being a deputy.
There are some things that Oakclaw is very different with Tigerclaw in. First of all, despite his intimidating looks, he's calm and gentle. Whenever an apprentice asks from him a bit of help whenever he's free and not resting, he would help immediately. Also, Oakclaw respects his Clan Leader, Moonstar . But whenever he thinks it's not right, he would question the Leader's decision. And there's one more thing about Oakclaw that some cats should know or already know: he hates being disturbed. He doesn't like it when a kit approaches him and demanding the apprentice ceremony as soon as possible. He doesn't like it when a cat has to interrupt his thoughts when he's relaxing near the lake. He doesn't like it whenever a cat tries to scare him during his swimming times. And he doesn't like it when some cats forget their duties and he has to remind them over and over and again.
Also, Oakclaw is afraid of herbs, most of all – mouse bile.
Appearance: A dark brown tabby with yellow eyes. He has a small scar on his left forepaw and a pink scar goes over his left eyes, but it's not blinded.
History: Some believe that Oakclaw has a bit of Tigerclaw's blood in his veins. Some deny the fact that Tigerclaw had other offsprings, except Brambleclaw and Tawnypelt, whose kin are in Thunderclan and Shadowclan respectively. Anyways, Oakclaw was found a lost kit in the woods. A Riverclan patrol found a kit with still not open eyes on the Windclan border. Suspecting that the kit is from Windclan, they first took the tabby kit back to the camp. The day when it all happened was the day before the full-moon gathering, ironically. Riverclan questioned Windclan of losing a kit in the middle of the territory, but the cats of Windclan denied the fact that it was their kit. After some intense discussion and questioning other clans, Riverclan decided to keep the kit to themselves. After all, the more, the merrier it is.
The kit, upon returning, was named Oakkit. Oakkit was given to one of then queens, Roseleaf. She also had a litter some time ago, consisting of 2 kits: a tom and a she-cat. So she accepted the lost kit, even though at first she refused to. So Oakkit grew in Riverclan, and believed that his mother was Roseleaf all the time. Even to these current times, he doesn't know the truth of his birth. His 'littermates' – Thornkit and Dawnkit, also thought that Oakkit was their littermate. They grew up together, play-fought together and practiced together for the apprentice ceremony.
When Oakkit was 6 moons old, he was apprenticed and renamed Oakpaw. He trained as hard as possible when he was an apprentice. He was very good in swimming, as he could hold his breath for many heartbeats and swim the fastest from all his other clanmates. He also showed some interests on fighting. Oakpaw was good in fighting, demonstrating marvelous back-flips and tactical rolling and jumping a lot most of the times. His fighting was impressive, but he didn't prove it when one of the warriors asked him for a one-on-one battle and he lost. After that, he practiced and practiced all the time, occasionally missing patrols and duties. His fighting improved a lot in one moon and he was now able to easily pinch to the ground a full-grown warrior. Once, he captured a Shadowclan warrior on the border and brought the unconscious warrior back to the camp ALONE. Oakpaw was rewarded with a valuable price: a warrior ceremony. His littermates: Thornpaw and Dawnpaw also showed outstanding results: catching so much prey, that it was enough to feed the whole clan and save up for the next sun-high. All three were renamed in the warrior ceremony: Oakpaw – Oakclaw, Thornpaw – Thornpelt, Dawnpaw – Dawnstream.
Later, in one of the battles between Riverclan and Shadowclan, one tragic news wait Oakclaw and his littermates. A black Shadowclan warrior with red eyes kills their mother, Roseleaf, by pushing her weakened body into the stream with sharp rocks on the bed. Oakclaw is shocked, and with rage, he tries to chase the retreating warrior, but he loses the trail soon afterwards. He gets lost in the middle of the Shadowclan territory, but using his sensitive nose, he detects a fresh smell of a cat. As he was about to turn back, the black warrior suddenly leaped at Oakclaw and scratched him very hard on his face. At that, Oakclaw fell back. The warrior pinched Oakclaw to the ground and was about to do the killing bite. Oakclaw closed his eyes. Thump. Thump. Thimp. But then, miraculously, he heard a cry of a young cat and a shadow, attacking the warrior. A heartbeat later, an another shadow leapt at the warrior and they started wrestling: 2-versus-1. Upon close inspection, Oakclaw noticed that it was in fact his apprentice, Rowanpaw, and his sister, Dawnstream. Somehow, the warrior freed itself during the wrestling and runs away, deeper into the woods. Oakclaw was about to follow the warrior, but his sister stopped him, stating that fighting him won't bring Roseleaf back. Oakclaw growled at his sister and vowed, that one day he will find this warrior and finish him.
Upon return and the mourning of the loss of Roseleaf, the clan leader of Riverclan, Moonstar , asked Oakclaw to become a deputy, as the previous deputy was Roseleaf and the clan needed a new one. At that Oakclaw reluctantly agreed. There was a ceremony, and so Oakclaw became a deputy. At a young age, will he be able to lead the clan to prosperity, with at his side, or will he miserably fail, without getting revenge on her mother's killer?
Oh, and do I have to write KIT again?
