Not really. I came not knowing what to expect (I haven't played Emerald), so I didn't have any standards or whatever. Still, I find the Battle Frontier to be a lot of extra fun. My favorite are is probably the Battle Arcade. I still actually need to beat some of the Brains.

A tip for those who havnt played Emerald, play it to the Battle Fronteir, and the compare it to the Platinum Fronteit.

I cannot say I was that disappointed. But I really which they added the Battle Pike and Battle Dome. Those two made the Battler Frontier so much fun.

What? There is no Battle Dome?! (This was my first reaction...)
I think it's pretty funny but I miss the Battle Arena, the Battle Dome and the Battle Palace. They were much better than the new ones on PLatinum...

Arrgghhh I gotta admit, I was VERY, VERY disappointed when I saw it. It felt very well, weird when I was there. Ya my first reaction was "Where the heck is the Battle Dome!?"

I agree! I loved those places! :)

Except for the battle palace because I didn't know about natures and I would be frustrated when they wouldn't use the move I would of used. xP

old times.

FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU -rages-
I spent the last 2 hours or so battling in the battle tower and I get to Palmer at streak 49. He sent out Heatran and I had Porygon-Z. I switched out to Electivire which was going to use EQ, but fainted due to Magma Storm. Dragonite KOd it with EQ though. Then he sent out Cresselia which used psychic on Dragonite and fainted. I sent out my Porygon Z, used Tri Attack and it fainted. I still had full HP.
Regigigas! I used Tri Attack, and it had about 33% health left, and crush grip made Porygon Z faint. ;__________;

I hate the battle tower/frontier.

I do agree with you. When the BF came up in Esmerald was a total revoution. Its was like a new world. But it Platinum, dough its good, there is like "somthing" missing. Like its invovative, bt not as much action as in Esmerald.

I was actually very pleased with Platinum's Battle Frontier. They managed to pack a lot of entertainment into a small space.

Emerald's Battle Frontier was a nice place to run around in. Lots of things to look at, a few more things to do -- overall just a quaint little add-on to the map.

Battle dome was KING. Who doesn't like fighting on stage, and imagine a d/p/p 3d version of that. Anyways... I really hated the lack of size but it makes sense. The "battle frontier" of platinum is really that whole triangle that includes stark mountain. You have the resort area, survival area, and battle area. Honestly they actually made the whole frontier bigger, and just placed the actual battle places together. I like it that way because it's in the shape of a pentagon and I don't have to spend like two minutes trying to find a place or going from one place to another. And I like how they put the stalls out in the middle. I'm going to disagree and say that honestly the battle frontier was upgraded.

Now if you're talking simply about the quality of play in the battle facilities... I think they are all pretty similar to each other and there's no adventure themed park. (As stated by other people) I haven't done any besides the battle factory and battle tower so I guess I'd have to get back to you with a full opinion.

I loved the Emerald Battle Frontier, especially the Battle Palace. That was fun.

I can't say I dislike Platinum's Battle Frontier, it's just really boring. Each facility is the generally the same thing, with a few tweaks. The only reason I barely go there is because it takes FOREVER to earn Battle Points and I have things to do haha.

I thought the platinum Battle frontier was TOO EASY I already beat it all and in emerald i only had 1 symbol from the battle pike and almost beat the battle dome but lost to tucker. If that kid at my school did'nt steal my emerald I'd be playing it right now!!

Despite the pros and cons, I am satisfied with both Frontier facilities.

In Emerald, I liked the Dome, Pike, and Pyramid. I gave up on Palace because my Pokemon often failed, lol. This frontier is large and spacey so I could hatch Pokemon here, as well as check their IVs via the NPC.

In Platinum, I liked the Arcade, Factory (better pokemon), and Castle. I hated Hall, as it's boring to match up types and OHKO something. This frontier is crowded and I'm often lost in the colors or bumping into walls with my bicycle. The scratch cards were nice, but they're often hax-fluffed.

The Battle Tower is always so-so...

I have more symbols in Platinum, so I think that it's easier.. When under round 30.

I agree mostly with you Twilight, the Dome, Pike, and Pyramid were awesome. Ive only gotten silver cards in Platinum fot the Hall and Castle (My least favorite ones) -_-.....and ive had the game since May.

i think battle frontier (the one from PL) sucks and in Emerald is cooler, there even was a dude with a shiny espeon and and a cave with legendaries, not to mention the better battle mods. yet the battle arcade in platinum is cool and if your pokemons passes the level it will be put to 50

The Shiny Espeon, Seaking, and Meowth were in FR/LG, not Emerald.

One thing I really liked about the Emerald Battle Frontier was that it seemed more like a specialized town than anything else, and the Facilities seem more... "Special" than the ones in Platinum. Same with the Frontier Brains Themselves.

Also, don't forget the Sudowoodo and cave full of Smeargle! :D

I was disappointed by the way you spelt the word in the title

But I have to agree with you here. I was disappointed. I found it really easy and a bit boring.

I never got there in platinum. but at least it can't be much worse than the Diamond/Pearl
